    it is great. question:mixer tool in ps 2015 is very different from 2019 even with same settings how to make 2019 mixer tool be just like 2015?

    • @Paintable
      @Paintable  4 года назад +1

      Hey Aya, try tweaking the settings until you find the effect you like. Also, you can try using different brushes with the mixer tool, that can change the whole game 😀

    Good video, but not sure why you said that you can't get a texture effect with the smudge brush. You totally can, especially if you create a custom brush, like I did

  • @madalina3387

    Thanks for the tutorial! However, my mixer brush does create pixels...even though I made the same settings as you did. I wonder why :(

      Hey Madalina, make sure that in the mixer brush settings bar the box called 'Sample all layers' is ticked. Let me know if you need more help with this 🙂

    Okay but how do you change your mixer brush shape? If I change brush it forces me back to paintbrush mode instead.

    Whats the short-cut to increase/decrease the brush?

    • @Paintable
      @Paintable  3 года назад +1

      There's no default shortcut for it, but in Photoshop you can set it up like this:
      Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts > Choose Shortcuts for 'Tools' and scroll down, the Increase/Decrease Brush size should be towards the end.
      Hope this helps, happy painting! 🙂

    umm small question here, Do you use a mouse? or by any chances, Do you use a mouse with such sensitivity which can have pressure in doing brushes in photoshop?

    • @Paintable
      @Paintable  7 лет назад +2

      I highly recommend you get a tablet if you want to get serious about digital painting! You'll never be able to get as accurate with a mouse, plus you'll be lacking pressure sensitivity. Entry level tablets start at just $60. Hope that helps!

    how do you paint with a painterly look instead of the smudge look?

    • @spectre3492
      @spectre3492 5 лет назад

      This method looks too blurry like it was using the smudge tool, im looking for the painters method where every brush stroke is seen when blending like an oil painting. sam spratt style

    • @WickedNPC
      @WickedNPC 5 лет назад

      This comment is old and perhaps you found a way to achieve what you wanted. But you can do it by choosing the right brush set it on load colours instead of just pushing the pixels around and also play around with the settings. I would suggest putting mix and wet rather low.
