@dispoon Thanks for the view and comment. That was a great trip with some great guys. The Buffalo National River never lets you down when it comes to the views.
Great trip!! Haha yall don't see all the hard work Uncle David put in paddling past everyone to record us then back again for another take down the river! Was loads of work for sure. My kiddos love the video, we've watched it twice already and they wanted to see it a 3rd time.. haha. It was really fun to share it with the wife too, so she can finally see what I'm talking about! :) Thanks again for everything.
@kamaronkyte1350 I live that your fam is all into it. Having the video to show them makes the story and experience more real for them. It was a great float with you guys.
My wife and I kayaked about 15 miles of this gorgeous river several years ago. The water was too low at the time but it was a spectacular ride. Loved floating over the deep pools and viewing the live "aquarium"-the water was crystal clear. The ineptness of this crew is embarrassing.
@mkwy8782 Thanks for the view and comment. This is a great group of guys. Everyone has to start somewhere. I'm sure your ineptness was embarrassing at some point, mine was.
We love taking that trip every year. Our group is always a mix of guys who have many years on the river. And guys who are new. We love taking new guys and watching them flip. lol. Uncle Dave is the greatest. You will see in the video him teaching those guys how to navigate different obstacles. But as a note. News guys get to go first. No sense showing them too much until they are nice and wet.
Great video! The unloading/loading time-lapses were perfect. The camera angle at 10:02 really shows how beautiful the water is. What time of year was this and how cold was the water? And did you camp 6 nights from Rush to the White River? One more question, what brand pole/mount do you use for your rear kayak shots?
@greenridgeoutdooradventure3433 Thanks for the view and comment. This was at the end of September and the weather was worm. Daytime temp was nice, but the night wasn't quite as cold to be perfect. Since we were running the river at minimum flow it was as worm as its going to get. They camp in two spots for the trip. First is somewhere between Rush and Elephant Head Rock. And the other is just upstream from Elephant Head Rock. Their goal is to get to the spot by Elephant Head and it's about 18 miles from Rush to there. So, the first day of the float is to camp somewhere in those 18 miles and finnish it up the second day. I had fam things going on so I couldn't be with them the first few days. Thats why there first camp wasn't recorded. But I did go out there, the first day, with my kayak to record their float threw Clabber Creek Shoals and then paddled back to rush and went home. Few days later I paddled down with me gear and caught up with them by Elephant Head. The camera pole I use on the back of my kayak is the 4' Yakattak.
Had such a great time!! Thanks Uncle David for the video and all the wisdom!!
@johndouzat5998 My pleasure. I really enjoyed the float with you guys.
Woww.. Very good trip.. Enjoy the view.. ❤❤👍
