    Sir Ld to samajh mein agaya lekin ek doubt he Mann lijiye 20 mm dia ka rod he M25 grade pr 49d hua iska mtlb 49×20=980mm hua lekin beam ka size 250×400 he 980 mm ka rod kliye place to nhi he na sir jyada se jyada 575mm ka dala ja sakta he please ek video mein iska doubt clear kijiye

    Ld = Dia of bar × stress of steel / 4× design bond stress
    = Dia of bar × 415 / 4× 2.4
    = Dia of bar × 415 / 9.6
    = Dia of bar × 43.23
    So,For M20 Concrete, Ld = 43.23d is coming. Then how u put on table as 48d? Hope i derived it correctly. This is my doubt. Pls clarify my doubt bro.

      For example,
      M20 Grade , Fe 415 grade of steel.
      Ld = (D x 0.87 x 415)/ (4 x 1.92).
      = 47 D (Tension Zone).
      Ld = (D x 0.87 x 415)/ (4 x 2.4).
      = 38 D. (Compression Zone).
      Note:
      Permissible Stress or design stress - (0.87 x fy).

    Why Development length increased w.r.t increase of bar strength.. Don't u think practically it should be Lower??
