      The situation of maintaining lapping zones asper the codal provisions will be difficult under situation of providing dowel bar for longer span beams,where we need to cast the beams later stage of project.The couplers are very useful under these situations.
      Also wastage of reinforcement bars will be higher for maintaining lapping zones asper IS codes.I prefer to cut the reinforcement bars of the following lengths 3m,4m,6m,8m

    Clear Height between plinth beam top and roof beam bottom-11 feets
    Zone-A-11/4=33 inches
    Zone-B-11*12-66=132 -66=66 inches
    There are 6 bars 16mm@4,12mm@2
    At zone B top- 2 no of lappings
    At zone B middle(30 inch below top lapping points)-3 no of lapping
    At Zone B bottom (30 inch below middle lap point)-1 lapping
    Whether the above arrangement is allowble?
    Whether lintel tie beam can be provided any zone?
    What if lintel tie beam falls on zone-A top area?

    Don’t use 6m for your ease. Try using beam length 3.2m beam depth 450mm with 20mm rebars used as main rebars and 8mm as stirrups. Then you will realize the cons and its difficulty. Although whatever you said is true but sometimes in certain cases it is not feasible as the lapping zones seems to coincide almost within the same zones

    But in our site the lift lobby area has a beam of 200×1240, which witdth to depth ratio is 0.161, is this a design mistake? or this rule can be break in some special cases, please give answer sir.

    Apne Kaha Beam Ki width or depth ka ration...... .3 or .4 ke bich me hona chhahiye... To beam ki depth with slab gini jayegi.... Ya without slab

    Some missing points.IS 13920 FOR BEAM CASE.
    1.The Factored axial stress on the member under earthquake shall not exceed 0.1fck
    2. The width of the member shall not be less then 200mm.

    Sir for 20 feet span 6 no's 16 mm rod is used in beam for g+2 house .In between 20 feet distance pillar one small pillar of 4 no's 12 mm resting on underground beam also provided just 6 feet away from centre pillar ..it is ok or need to add more steel.?beam depth 14inch +6 inch slab thickness.column is 4 no's 16 mm &4 no's 12 mm

    Sir where should laps be given in a beam resting on firm ground. For example a plinth beam resting on pcc.

    सर यदि बीम का क्लियर स्पान 5 मीटर हो और बीम 700mm डेपथ हो और उसमें 20 एमएम का सरिया लग रहा है तो फिर उसमें किसी प्रकार की कोई जगह ही नहीं बचेगी। उस कंडीशन में क्या करेंगे

    Please make a video for Overlap length kya lo gai for billing k liye. (One floor pr)
    1)Over lap 32 Dia se reduce ho kr 25 mm ho gya .
    2) over lap 25 Dia se increase ho kr 32 Dia ho gya .

      Aise cases may always take d as your smaller Dia of bar and rest things are same .koi special Ld nahi Hoti hai bar ki dia. Change ho to refer IS 456 2000 U WILL HAVE BETTER KNOWLEDGE

    Sir aap jo Is code use kiya hai wo 2003 ka hai aur iska latest revision 2016 ks hai aapne is video m clearly nhi btaya hai ki beam bottom m kha pr aur top m kha pr lal dena chaiye so plz sir mera req hai ki aap video dobara banaye jisse muje bhot help miligi. Aur sir reply jarur dijiyega.

    Sir beam top main lap center main aur beam bottom m side lap kyo dete hai aur yah bhi bataye ki Beam m top main s.f. aur b.m.kha aata hai aur bottom m kha aata hai aur as per is code. Aur 13920 ka 2016 revision hai aur aap 2003 ke according bta rhe h

    If the 2d length fall beyond L/4 then what to do sir? I mean if 2 times of our beam depth is 40 inch and L/4 distance is less than 40 inch which one should we follow?

    Column में Bottom area में L की length कितनी होती है और क्यों????
    Example
    Bottom mash dai 12mm both side
    Clear cover 50mm
    Footing depth 600mm
    Column bar 16mm
    Ld = 50d = 800mm
    So
    L = 800-(600-50)-24=226mm
    पर ये तो कम है।।।।
    और अगर आप 300mm कहना चाहते है तो क्यों???
    हर जगह जवाब ढूंढा, नहीं मिला, पर आपसे उमीद है।।।

      From bottom of beam to centre of main bar, If Cover 25mm & Main bar 20mm than 25mm + 10mm = 35mm effective cover, also if beam depth 600mm than effective depth of beam = 600mm - 35mm = 565mm, Clear
