With two fingers sounds more autentic and more power in fingers......with tre fingers sounds more like running somewere. Try with two fingers its harder but when your fingers abituate you will see its sounds better.......Hallo from Slovenia😁
Hiya , great cover as they always are do you play 3 fingered or 2 finger style . Your right hand technique appears a lot less chaotic . Than most other maiden cover artists but your playing sounds amazing effortless infact . Then again no two artist play the same . Keep them coming excellent work
Thank you @daraboy1973! in this cover I was playing with three fingers, I used to play with two when I begun but I am getting old, so I pushed in the middle finger to keep up stamina ;)
@@CesareFerrari667 Thank you for the reply, your playing looks very relaxed probably down to the use of three fingers. I'm trying to learn using both 3 and 2 . With 3 the gallop is easier but. My lead is back to front . Finding it hard to accent the first note . For me it's annoying. Any tips would be appreciated. Great playing as always .
There are 3 components of Harris' sound 1) Low action + (can see on the video) 2) Flatwound strings + 3) "Full finger" playing (Steve hits the string hard with maximum momentum - that is why there are a lot of clicks) - With such light touch you can only get Steve's sound via sound editing. So what we listen here is not a live sound.
NOCTURNE54G .AVDERE GVSTAV The secret is both in the hands - you got to play very hard - and the setting of the rig. Low action and middle highs boosted out should do the trick!
Not at all, I don't like flats - these are normal rounds, Harris sound comes from the hand technique, not necessarily from the strings. Flat strings help the left hand going up and down without producing string noise, that's all :)
Cesare Ferrari if your talking about hand made custom boutique guitars sure. I own a $900 Ibanez that’s probably one of the best guitars I’ve ever played..
It's always so weird to me....that bass players are usually playing only one fret......but the way they hold their hands....you can't tell what fucking note it is....it always looks like they are playing a chord or something...but they aren't....cryptic shit...
All respect and admiration to you... but most people are more interested in what your left hand is doing than your right... so please focus the camera on the fretwork. Thank you
+Giacomo Rinaldi Ciao Giacomo, io ne ho usati parecchi!
I used to but age is coming over... I need the ring finger to keep up :) I bet you couldn't hear the difference if I gave you audio only though, that's my goal - to sound like Steve, not to play just the same
Dude stop panning the shots to your right hand. Most of us wanna look at your left hand on the fretboard. Please! Thanks for an awesome performance nonetheless. :)
Sorry you didn't like it, I was trying to give more points of view to see how exactly the song is played - you recommend a more straightforward approach?

Excellent stuff! Especially 3:28. The best bit obviously!
BodaciousWickerman thank you! ☺
You're welcome! :)
Awesome as ever buddy, you just get better and better, really nailed that Harris sound :)
Holy shit, man. Your galloping technique is godly!!
He's doing it with three fingers. I think Steve does it with two!
@@dantreview4698 yeah steve never uses 3 fingers
@@dantreview4698 he's not. It's how he's hitting the strings.
Awesome cover my friend. Killer tone.
UP THE IRONS \m/
Perfetta equalizzazione ! 🔝🔝
I would like to play as well as you !! great sound and powerfull attack ! welldone ! :D
most excellent and awesome job
Really nice
Awesome playing, man! 🎸🤘🏼
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
Face melted.
Great sound of the bass! A little bit more attack and it would be the same as Steve has!
Amazing
Love that Tone wonderful cover:)

+Jonttu Fifa thank you! this is my home made pbass XD
Outstanding cover love that fender P .

Great! Reminds me one of our first collabs :D
Yeah, had a lot of fun with that one! xD
fabulous work
Awesome cover!
Awesome sound, nice work
Awesome skills. Nice cover.
Great job. Congrats.
Muito bom!
why you so sleepy?
Guilherme M. R. Figueiredo He is just sad because the evil Bat Man do lives on and on.
It's a bassist thing you won't understand xd
@@nikobellic3856 I dont think so...
gooooooood!!!!
Killer tone ! How I can reproduce it?
NOCTURNE54G .AVDERE GVSTAV The secret is both in the hands - you got to play very hard - and the setting of the rig. Low action and middle highs boosted out should do the trick!
Nice cover bro, you got it.
How many fingers did you use to gallop this one?
And did you use a pedal or is just the amp sound?
you Rock!
Daniel Flores García thank you! I used three fingers because I am getting old! sound is the amp with an overdrive
How do you get the Steve Harris sound? Awesome cover!
Set the strings action very low and play very hard on the strings, some EQ will bring it out even more
Great JOB!
Thank you \m/
Great cover man! And awesome tone. Are there any specific settings to get it? Any answer is helpful :)
Jorge Balboa low action may help :)
Great sound dude, and a great cover as well. Can you tell me the strings you're using, and the amp settings ?
Strings are DR strings, 45-105 gauge. Amp settings I don't remember, I change them depending on the song... ^_^
That Steve Harris sound is what im looking for :D Are the strings flatwound?
Not at all, I don't like flats - these are normal rounds, Harris sound comes from the hand technique, not necessarily from the strings. Flat strings help the left hand going up and down without producing string noise, that's all :)
Im considering switching to flatwounds. Was this played with flatwounds, or is it compresssion?
👏🏽👏🏽🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
👍👍👍🤘
👍👌
thank you.....
+Mark2Roll Glad you enjoied it :)
hey bro good cover. Your bass is active or pasive?
Looks passive
pbass always passive :)
I'm looking for a good guitar 🎸 on eBay and ended up being here. Does anybody know how much they go for usually?
Really good ones can go for 3000 dollars and more... But you can find pretty good ones for 500 as well
Cesare Ferrari if your talking about hand made custom boutique guitars sure. I own a $900 Ibanez that’s probably one of the best guitars I’ve ever played..
Nice, your tone is very close.
UP THE IRONS!!
Harris should have a copyright on that rythm
It's always so weird to me....that bass players are usually playing only one fret......but the way they hold their hands....you can't tell what fucking note it is....it always looks like they are playing a chord or something...but they aren't....cryptic shit...
So true!
Zatoichi444 it is because we use the other fingers of the left hand to mute the strings that aren't being played.
inatehex I don't do that. I guess I suck...haha.
which amp you use
This one was an Ampeg SVT 3 Pro
how do you get this clicky sound?
+djusha it comes from the hand technique, not a matter of EQ or settings, but high treble might help
what's the technique? do you have a really low action and strings just hit the fret?
+djusha well basically ies, but my action is just regular. if you lower the action you'll have string buzz, which is really unwanted here
corneto
Is that a Mexican precision bass?
Yep. With seymour duncan SPB3
All respect and admiration to you... but most people are more interested in what your left hand is doing than your right... so please focus the camera on the fretwork. Thank you
What kind of bass is that?
This is my Fender Precision custom, I made the customisations myself
Looks really good. I like that silver on white. I used listen to this song over and over. Good playing!
Cesare Ferrari man why didn't you use maple fingerboard?

actually you are playing the bass or moving your fingers like nothing?
Great sounding bass but don't play with 3 fingers. Use 2 like SH does.
I used to, but I got tendinitis and now I play like modern bass players. It's much more comfortable, and your hands will last longer ^^
Cesare Ferrari I feel your pain. Rock on, brother.
I used to but age is coming over... I need the ring finger to keep up :)
I bet you couldn't hear the difference if I gave you audio only though, that's my goal - to sound like Steve, not to play just the same
Tienes mucha razon
I'm pretty sure everyone can play bass the way they want to.
Dude stop panning the shots to your right hand. Most of us wanna look at your left hand on the fretboard. Please! Thanks for an awesome performance nonetheless. :)
Why are your fingers bunched together, and your thumb should remain behind the neck, otherwise great
Great sound, playing and production! But you look bored my dude, cheer up!
worgegramsci105 haha, probably I was only struggling to get it right 🤣
totally understandable, keep up the good work!
worgegramsci105 thank you! I will
Out of tempo
Zzzzzzzzz
Put some emotion into it bro, zzzzz
Maybe he's putting it and he's just not the type of showing off wannabe youtuber cover kinda of guy
Focus on the playing bro
Your bass should be louder, considering this is a bass cover.
The cameraman is not good at all
FUCKING CAMERA CHANGING EVERY 2s jesus christ.. nice cover though
Sounds great, but edited terribly. Too many edits. Let us see you play!
