Hiya , great cover as they always are do you play 3 fingered or 2 finger style . Your right hand technique appears a lot less chaotic . Than most other maiden cover artists but your playing sounds amazing effortless infact . Then again no two artist play the same . Keep them coming excellent work
Thank you @daraboy1973! in this cover I was playing with three fingers, I used to play with two when I begun but I am getting old, so I pushed in the middle finger to keep up stamina ;)

Thank you for the reply, your playing looks very relaxed probably down to the use of three fingers. I'm trying to learn using both 3 and 2 . With 3 the gallop is easier but. My lead is back to front . Finding it hard to accent the first note . For me it's annoying. Any tips would be appreciated. Great playing as always .

Strings are DR strings, 45-105 gauge. Amp settings I don't remember, I change them depending on the song... ^_^
That Steve Harris sound is what im looking for :D Are the strings flatwound?
Not at all, I don't like flats - these are normal rounds, Harris sound comes from the hand technique, not necessarily from the strings. Flat strings help the left hand going up and down without producing string noise, that's all :)

Set the strings action very low and play very hard on the strings, some EQ will bring it out even more

With two fingers sounds more autentic and more power in fingers......with tre fingers sounds more like running somewere. Try with two fingers its harder but when your fingers abituate you will see its sounds better.......Hallo from Slovenia😁

what's the technique? do you have a really low action and strings just hit the fret?
+djusha well basically ies, but my action is just regular. if you lower the action you'll have string buzz, which is really unwanted here

There are 3 components of Harris' sound
1) Low action + (can see on the video)
2) Flatwound strings +
3) "Full finger" playing (Steve hits the string hard with maximum momentum - that is why there are a lot of clicks) -
With such light touch you can only get Steve's sound via sound editing. So what we listen here is not a live sound.

+Giacomo Rinaldi Ciao Giacomo, io ne ho usati parecchi! Per dire, nei video che hai visto ne ho usati quattro diversi: Peavey, Gallien Krueger, Ampeg e Markbass. Secondo me un po' si equivalgono, il timbro che vuoi lo tiri fuori da tutti. Ecco per fare Maiden e basta io sceglierei il GK, che comunque è versatile
+Cesare Ferrari che dici delle GR700plus ? suono neutro in modo che con un preamp tivo vtbass o ebs microbass II ottieni il suono che vuoi ? non è male come idea.

Great sounding bass but don't play with 3 fingers. Use 2 like SH does.
I used to, but I got tendinitis and now I play like modern bass players. It's much more comfortable, and your hands will last longer ^^

It's always so weird to me....that bass players are usually playing only one fret......but the way they hold their hands....you can't tell what fucking note it is....it always looks like they are playing a chord or something...but they aren't....cryptic shit...
