@russellfulton6861 tbf at the time they had no idea ireland would become such an incredible side and if they hadn't become such a side then those players probably would have made it.
Agree hype train in overdrive, he is a young player with lots of potential - he will have bad days, World Cup wasn't bad but again over hyped going into it, needs to be managed carefully to develop
Agree on Prendergast, he's just barely made it into Leinster senior team recently. I don't think Ireland were "over hyped" for RWC. Any of top 4 NZ, SA, FRA, IRL were strong contenders to win the tournament. Very close QF matches, and pool defeats of NZ and SA, would give some proof to that view IMHO.
He's doing fine let's not do what we did to Hanerhan Conway Degan Larmor, etc people forget sexton was 24 when he made his international debut a lot can happen for a player from 20 to mid 20s
Exactly. These clowns were getting the hype train going at the back of last season off the back of one URC match in South Africa. Face palm moment for me.
Yes, but in fairness he doesn't have much competition in that position, the byrne brothers, carty are not international standard so if he stays fit then he will earn many irish caps.
He has potential. Ross Byrne is a good 10 but maybe not an amazing 10 but he is a very good goal kicker. Harry is still proving himself. Carry has no chance
No. He had a crappy u20 six nations. Made stupid decisions and his kicking was very bad. Leinster hype train in full swing. If he played for Connacht he wouldn’t get a look in.
We should learn from Larmour
And harry byrne and Scott Penny and max deegan and Joey carberry they do it all the time
@@russellfulton6861Their highest "ceiling" is such tired clichéd nonsense. Just idle speculation about the future from these bluffers.

True that he needs time let’s see where he is in a few years until then Crowley is first choice with Byrne right behind

Anyone but Ross Byrne. He is absolutely pants .
He’s going to crash and burn I can feel it. Irish sports media is a cancer on this game.
What a load of bull
place kicking is hot/cold great player , tracy biased as usual nothing new from him.
No chance irish rugby will take any "risks" with Prendergast, our Conservative ways has brought us all that success in world cups

Lol. BBC’s player of the tournament but whatever.
A 19 year old didn't make all the right decisions? Shocker that is
Also I'm Munster not Leinster so not biased, Connacht's 10s are pure dog water
Whatever about hype train, he absolutely did not have a crappy six nations
He’s young and will improve his kicking look at libok with sa his in game kicking is very good but goal kicking isn’t that good
He's had some off games and he wouldn't get a game for connacht because he doesn't want to play for a club that can't make a challenge cup final
