    Thanks for sharing your recepie! Is commercial spinach ok to use? Im a bit afraid of all the pesticides and whatnot they use to grow the spinach. Maybe homegrown is the best way to make sure its 100% organic.

      I use organic comercial spinach but homegrown would be the best.

    Wouldn't it be easier to just dissolve the iodine free salt in the water before adding either and then give the jar a good shake?

    This is very informative. Would the sodium content of the fermented spinach be ok for the shrimps? And how long should we put the fermented spinach in the tank water before feeding it to the shrimps? I also want to try fermenting kale. Would I need to ferment it longer as kale is a bit thicker than spinach?

      I have no deaths after useing this food. Remember - I dont use a lot of salt, it has to be without iodine, we use water to lessen the amouts of salts

    How can you tell if the fermentation is working? By smell, colour?

    • @ShrimpTimeInt
      @ShrimpTimeInt  Год назад +1

      By smell, the leaves will also lose theire strong green colour it will go into brownish green, and leaves will become more soft/fragile
