In modern society, #radios are common technology in the car and in the home. In fact, in today's world one would be hard pressed to find anyone who has not heard of, seen, or used a radio during his or her life, regardless of how old or young they may be. This was not always the case, however. Before the 19th century, wireless radio communication in everyday life was a thing of fantasy. Even after the development of the radio in the late 1800s, it took many years before radios went mainstream and became a household fixture. The history of the radio is a fascinating one that changed how the world connected and communicated from distances both far and near.
#radiobroadcasting was the cheapest form of entertainment, and it provided the public with far better entertainment than most people were accustomed to. As a result, its popularity grew rapidly in the late 1920s and early 1930s, and by 1934, 60 percent of the nation’s households had radios. One and a half million cars were also equipped with them. The 1930s were the #goldenage of radio.

Don't forget there were great car radios in the 80s. In early 1980s I had a Pioneer Stereo and Equalizer with Cassette, Craig front speakers and Boston Acoustic rear speakers custom installed in my Toyota Celica ST. Man, that was so good. Like being inside headphones, powerful rich sound. Lots of friends enjoyed it with me and I loved cruisin' especially in the summer.

Do your research and give credit where due! The first voice and the first “broadcast” were both results of the efforts of Reginald Fessenden, a prolific inventor in all things radio, sonar totalling over 500 patents. First wireless human voice transmission and reception was made on December 23, 1900 and the first broadcast made on December 24 1906.

I had a sterio from 1999 that had it's own wired speakers and could record voice on cassette and was literally the reason I got into the IT world... unfortunately, what I spent MANY hours learning as a result QUICKLY became obsolete and being a preteen my interests moved elsewhere. I am still mostly fluent in ASCII, HTML, and DOS but the only time I get to show off is when my Spanish or German friends ask me how to type accents or that special "B" (typing on a phone so can't actually hit the ASCII code for it)
I wanted that to be my career but the expansion and my young mind prevented me from pursuing... to this day it hurts me to know of my wasted time, but I am still... somewhat... happy with my ultimate career choice.
PS: Because of my understanding of computer language, I went into Hospitality and learned general language skills, I am bilingual but can greet in like... idk... 5 languages?...
