Julia was my favorite on Falcon Crest . I can still remember that shock when it was revealed she was the murderer and the she dominated the following season with her prison time , transfer to the mental hospital and her escape . I was so sad and let down after the Spring House fire and then so elated when she just turned up in the vineyard the following season . Such a pity she never came back regularly after the earthquake . RIP Abby .
The Scene with Emma (Margaret Ladd) was so beautiful and poignant. You saw how much Julia did "Love" Emma although she drove her up the wall sometimes. In that scene you see that they were both "prisoners" of Angela's controlling nature. So heartbreaking. In retrospect I'm sure alot of folks can relate to a "Overbearing" Parent.
Sometimes you forget that Lorimar had so many Primetime Soaps. What I loved about Falcon Crest that it went further than Dynasty or even Dallas in terms of dealing with Issues. Mental Health, Interacial Adoption, Alcoholism, Violence, Rape, and it showed a Woman could be just as successful in Business as well as a Man. Another admirable quality is that Lorenzo Lamas & Ana Alicia kicked the Door Open for the next Generation Of Latin Soap Actors. The Actor who played Mario back in the day would have been perfect to have played Miguel Santos (Danny's Father & Carmen's Late Husband) on Guiding Light. He could come to Danny in A Dream where he tells his Son how proud he was of him, and even tell him that Michelle didn't kill Mick it was done by Ken Norris (Blake Marler's Uncle & Holly Reade's Brother).
The Episode where Julia & Emma are talking reminds me of the Episode in 2015 on the UK Soap Opera Eastenders where Leslie "Jane" Beale tells her Husband Ian and her Stepchildren Peter & Cindy that she didn't kill Ian's Daughter Lucy, that Bobby who is only around 13 did it and she tried to protect him.
She was like "Ophelia". Such a tragic figure with a domineering Mother, a Wayward Playboy Son, and a Sister who had her own issues. If only Angela hadn't controlled Julia so much maybe she would have been happy.
I’m probably in the minority here but I think Julia Cumson is an example of an interesting character with great potential, totally ruined by turning her into a murdering psychopath. And her retribution....a convent🤷🏻 I would have preferred that she was falsely accused of Agrettis death and was manipulated by Jacqueline to turn against her mother, believing that Angela was framing her. Siding with Richard they attempt to undermine and outwit Angela.
GOD BLESS Abby Dalton In Heaven, Loved Her Character Julia Cumson On Falcon Crest! I Too Loved The Nun On The Run Too With Julia Ready Too Shoot Her Mother Angela, And Hiding Out In The Spring House! We Pray For You In JESUS Name Julia, Prayers That You Are Well In Heaven Abby Dalton, GOD BLESS!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I absolutely loved Abby Dalton the actress BUT her character on Falcon Crest playing the part of Julia Cumson, Lance's mother was wicked, very hateful and took advantage of everyone that revolved around her ALL the way up to the climax of the murder of Carlo Agretti, Melissa's father and I have to admit Abby Dalton should have gotten the Emmy Award in real life for her portrayal of Julia and she also had Jacqueline Perrault played by the famous Lana Turner assassinated in the back yard as well TOO!! VERY DRAMATIC and was the last episode of the second season of Falcon Crest and to this VERY DAY I thought when I saw it it was a TOTAL SHOCK!!!!!
She was favorite i was crazy about her when i was young age

Amazing actress! TV ROYALTY I loved her Julia character! Hated it when she died in the cabin fire in season 3! That was so crazy! RIP

Fantastic as always, Toni! I hadn’t even known she’d passed. The nun with a gun will always be one of my favourite soap moments!

The perfect choice for #1. My favorite cliffhanger of all time.

It was also the prime time soap which had by far the most use of humor (intentional) mixed in with the drama. So many great one-liners.
The nun with a gun--I was hoping to see her! 😆

It is a pity that they didn't bring Julia back as the focus of the last season, instead of the absolute disaster that was season 9
FC was on fire in Season 03!!!!!!!! And it all had to do with AD!!!!!
Season 3 was by far FC’s best season.
She was like "Ophelia". Such a tragic figure with a domineering Mother, a Wayward Playboy Son, and a Sister who had her own issues. If only Angela hadn't controlled Julia so much maybe she would have been happy.
Emma reminds me of Ophelia too
