I think it should be noted that the hilux d4d torque is delivered very low compared to most, and its a meaty wide spread of torque which also lends it self well to the 4 speed auto. (if it was a petrol then a 5-6 gear auto would make more sense). Durability/Reliability id still choose the hilux even tho its been around the longest of the lot.

Facelift version of Hilux 2011 on is 5 speed auto, at least it is in Europe.
