Hahaha it happens if you learned from someone who has an opposite dominant hand. Like my dad has always been left handed. Growing up I used all his equipment so if I'm fishing really finesse lures I prefer to fish like a lefty. But fishing with big plugs or live bait it doesn't matter and I fish either way. In the kayak it helps to be able to cast lefty or righty because if you have bushes behind you on one side or the other sometimes you have to cast lefty or righty. Thanks for watching and tight lines!!
Mixed feelings on watching this.. I moved to palm bay 2yrs ago found your videos to learn the river and now you are fishing my old stomping grounds.. used to spend nights on the cheekees in hells Bay.. man I miss that area.
ahhhh sorry bro! Beautiful place to fish down there. The bite was tough because of the cold weather and we had to fish a lot of water to catch a few fish. But it was still fun.
@FishAholicTV weather permitting. Ocean side towards snake bite all along that mangrove line and the two islands right outside of launch area on kayak always did decent. Snooks, Reds, and triple tail if wind was from se for a couple of days. The accommodations look nice.. I was there for hurricane aftermath and they have come a long way. Keep up the awesome videos I'm from the north as well and enjoyed the striper action.
ahhh well stay worm! I'm actually reminiscing of ice fishing right now seeing the cold weather. I always enjoyed that kind of fishing. Very peaceful and cool if you find some big fish to catch through a tiny hole.
Ohhh wow that is epic!! I was down there recently and I was up to 5 miles offshore in the kayak and really surprised I didn't see a cobia. But I caught some big mutton snapper and found a bunch of red grouper.
@@FishAholicTV that's along ways out in a yak. I was 3 miles out in a boat. The Cobia was caught deeper about 60' It liked the little 6" red grouper I caught initially.
@@FishAholicTV If you ever get a chance, backwater fishing for tarpon in Puerto Rico on light tackle is one of the funnest experiences. I catch 20 a day and rarely run into other fishers.
What happened with the nice tarpon at the end happened to me, too: A big pike jumped vertically out of the water and shook his head and my bait was flying.
hahah ahhh man. We will get em next time. I'm happy with a Tarpon bite if at least I get a couple jumps out of it before it pops off if I can't get my hands on them.
It is a fishing machine. It handled the rough water well and unbelievable stability. This may be tmi but I could literally walk up to the bow to pee off it like I was on a boat or skiff hahahah
@@Johnh4christ I ran that thing hard all day long on the battery and I can't believe it was only down to 60% capacity after 10 hours of fishing. But you are correct. Having a peddle system as a back up would be the best.
Yo brotha I’ll be taking a trip to the keys the first week of February to do some kayak fishing. Any must do spots or put in suggestions? I’ll be targeting all species. Thanks, love the content!
Hey bro, awesome!! You can never go wrong around the 7 mile bridge. You should encounter big cuda, yellow jack, snapper, black grouper, and maybe some early spring giant jack crevalle spawning schools.
I'll never understand getting into the water with a kayak that has alligators. Seems every year when I get back down south there's a story of a missing kayaker. Be safe
Hmmm I've checked everything multiple times and it's fine. Throughout the video I switch between go pro internal mic and DJI external mic. The external mic cancels out a lot background noise unlike the gopro. So you maybe hear less noise overall thinking the audio is down but when you hear me speak it should be load and clear. Like the end of the video it is primarily the external mic. With the volume all the way up on my computer or television I can hear everything loud and clear.
What happens when you have been fishing for nearly 30 years and filming for over 10 years. It isn't my first long form video. I think it's liked my 700th or 800th so maybe I know a little bit? It's not like I'm playing chess. I'm fishing which I'm sure you know is a very hands on occupation and that is what happens. I believe it helps the viewer feel more engaged. I can't please everyone sorry if you hated the video. Maybe you should just go fishing? Tight Lines.
ok, thanks for your feedback. Some people who are interested in the kayak can now see it on the water or know where to stay if they are traveling down there. I can't please everyone. Tight lines.
Good morning 🌞. Coffee, a Fishaholic video showing my home territory, and rain 🌧️. A wonderful Sunday morning. Great video Rich 😊
Good morning and thanks so much for watching!! Tight Lines!
Love how you keep your videos real.
Glad to hear and thanks so much!!
So much life in the Everglades!
haha yeah its an awesome place to fish!! Thanks Mike as always for watching and commenting!!
Morning Rich! Looks like a chill day floating through the glades. I hope to come down to see my daughter soon and maybe bump into you down there.
Good morning Richard!! Good luck down there if you do and hopefully I see yah. Tight Lines!
It’s so nice to know I’m not the only goofy fisherman in the world. Cast right handed and retrieve right handed.
I do the opposite! Been switching hands for 50 years!
Same.

yeahhh they are pretty cool!
Rich Realizing how fustrating whitewater bay can be is gold
You know it’s tough when you’re willing to settle for a catfish!
hahah yeah notice how I was dressed. It was 48 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit for three days in a row and only got to a high of 60/65.
Howdy Rich! 👋🇺🇲
Hey Kurt! Tight Lines!
An old timer told me the best tarpon lure is a Bass spinner bait 😂 fish on
Test
hahahahaha I should have tried it. I had it with me.
Grandpa was right
Gotta make it to the Everglades...
Yeahhh for sure it is a great place!!
I wish I knew where to launch with my kayak! I’ve been talking to my dad saying this would such an amazing trip to do together.
Uhhh there's millions of spots
Load of launch spots all around. Check out the Paddlerz App and it will help
Great video

hahaha you know it. It was really cold down there for south Florida and it shut down the fishing a lot this day.
When do they stop being kayaks? I had a 12 foot jon boat with trolling motor growing up

What happened to your sound. Did your mic battery go dead?
Hmmm as far as I know the whole video has audio. Maybe you accidentally hit the mute mutton on RUclips?
