Bought mine today and I love love LOVE this vacuum! My Dyson V10 said "too much!" to me after trying to keep up with drywall dust for 2 months. (It was not even a big job - just skimming 2 walls after a wall paper removal. ) This amazing vac has completely renewed my rugs and furniture, and the air quality in my home is noticeably cleaner. I have vacuumed every room, top to bottom, and it was so rewarding to see all the dirt and dust this vacuum caught that my Dyson missed. Still love my V10 for smaller quick pickup jobs but I will only let this vac touch my furniture and carpets. It is so gentle yet powerful. Everything in my home looks new again!
A massive thumbs up from me Roger, I've never looked back since you recommended a Miele to myself a few years back now. I now have two . Miele's are Solid and well made, a great vacuum cleaner.
It's good to see that this model is still made in Germany. This is a quality machine and the choice of two mounting points for the tool caddy is good.
I had the C3 model for many years. Great make and worked well. I couldn’t afford a new Miele, when it went to the great vacuum emporium in the Sky. So I bought an Henry Xtra ❤️🖤

In the USA and Canada the Miele vacuums are all 1200W, I've tried a few and been very impressed with the suction.
Funny I used to own a somewhat similar model 14 years ago. No charcoal though. But the build was pretty much the same except for the turbo head. My tools were stored onboard inside the lid where the bag goes, infact just near where the charcoal filter is.
I'm starting to crave for a German assembled miele. They are genius.

Loved the video and I can't wait to see the full demonstration. I'm tossed on weather to get a C2 or an E1. I can get a C2 equipped like this in the US for $400.00 but an E1 with a turbo tool would be about $700.00. The difference would take quite a few bags to make up but Miele bags cost about twice as much as Sebo's.
I have a C3 canister and it is a Workhorse! A wonderfully quiet machine.
Very dependable, solid, easy-to-use, effective cleaner - like most Miele canisters. Is that Mango Red? Miele has a new less bulky turbo carpet nozzle with a dial to open an air valve. Looks quite nice. Happy Belated Birthday, Roger!

I love these Miele canisters, but they need a turbo or power nozzle to be worth anything. (My opinion.) It would be great if your demo could include the power nozzle. If not, I’m still curious to see how well this turbo nozzle works.
It's unfortunate but Miele doesn't offer power nozzles in the U.K. There may be a greater need for power nozzle canisters now with machines that are wattage restricted

I think that there could be more P/N canisters from others soon considering the regulations and the need to deep clean rugs and carpeting.
Hi ibaisaic! I have my eye on the Miele C3 Alize and have an odd question for you. The one thing that puts me off the Alize is that the Miele SGC 20 LED spotlight handle, which I LOVE (I tried one out briefly) has the annoying "feature" of shutting off every 30 seconds (it will not stay on permanently). I would buy the Alize model in a heartbeat if they made it so that we could turn the light on and off when we choose to, as I often am using only the hose along with a brush attachment for furniture, couch cushions, etc. and my eyesight is not the best. So I have great need of the light anytime I am vacuuming. So my odd question is ... is there a way to rig this light so it will stay on all the time? Thank you!

This Miele isn't much different than the Bosch Zoo that I have. With 2 double coated dogs with lots of shedding it's working quiet well.

How would this Miele compare (in quality and cleaning performance) with the Sebo E1 model and the Henry Xtra in your collection?

I believe that vacuumtests adapts his cleaners to fit different powerheads, which is something I'm not prepared to do as I like to leave my machines in the original condition I bought them.

If you mean can you use it all the time on the silence setting, then yes. You can use it all the time on any of the settings.

It applies to mains powered uprights and cylinders.

I swear, England left the EU.... So they still have the vacuum laws in place?
The UK voted to leave the EU, but negotiations are still taking place and may last another couple of years until we have finally left. In the meantime, we are still an EU member and have to comply with their regulations. Even when the split happens, the laws will still be in place unless the government votes to remove them, but I think in the case of vacuum cleaners, these regulations will remain.
I can't see a difference in build quality between the German and Chinese assembled ones..
I think the quality difference becomes apparent over years of use rather than appearance.
ibaisaic can you Unbox the Miele Complete C3 total care vaccum its the best and it does not have a turbo head it has an electric powerhead with a motor inside
Miele do not offer any cleaners with an electric head in the UK anymore.
