I'm pretty sure Konami will remake 1. It makes sense story-wise to introduce new players into the world with SH2 and then do 1 as a way of telling more about the back story of Silent Hill.
I just finished the Xenosaga trilogy recently (which are incredibly underrated and overshadowed by Xenoblade) and the ending of Episode III in particular made me cry my ass off for a straight 30 minutes. I had to emulate them because they are still stuck on the PS2. There was a pitch back in 2019 to have an HD Collection of these three games released for modern platforms including PC but it was rejected by Namco because they stated it would be "financially unfeasible" which honestly angers me, because you would think that with a corporation as huge as Bandai Namco it would not be a very difficult thing to do.
The Saturn games are difficult to re-release because of the games being made for a completely unique type of architecture and the unavailability of source code. Panzer Dragoon Saga and Deep Fear would have to run on emulation and Saturn emulation only recently started catching up
Glad to see PE on the list. The 3rd Birthday was kind of a character assassination of Aya (but also not really), but the original PE is one of my favorite games of all time.
Illbleed, one of the best games on the Dreamcast, would have been amazing on the Nintendo Switch or PC, maybe even VR, but sadly this dream may never come true...
I’d love if the ObsCure games could be ported to modern consoles. It’s on Steam and that’s really cool, especially with how they look (though Aftermath/2 has a glitch that can mess up the game), but it sucks for non-PC players or even people with a Steam Deck, because it’s not on consoles like PS4/5, Xbox, Switch, nor can be played on Steam Deck. Sadly the company that made them went under too. I wish really they could be remade, especially taking place on the 2000’s, keep their fashion intact (which is actually some of the best fashion in game in my opinion), and maybe change up some of the gameplay in the first game, since it makes certain characters less usable. I also think the first game’s story could be expanded on and the second game’s story could be fixed to be less edgy and offensive (I’m not saying I fully hate it, but the story is very tasteless when I think it could be really interesting). And maybe get a better script (which I think the first game’s voice actors, who are all very popular now, just sound odd with the barebone script they have and the second game has cheap voice actors who have ok performances to crappy ones). And I wish maybe the series could get more games in say the hands of a company that really sees the series potential.
i heard somewhere, why Konami never re-released Silent Hill 1, is that they lost all Data from the Game during an accident. i am not sure if it is true, i only heard it from someone. And i know, it came on PS3 store, since i own that copy on my PS3.

Panzer Dragoon Saga was released at the end of the Saturn's life cycle. There were only a very limited number of copies given to stores at the time. As in some game stores only getting 3 copies !
The author of parasite eve if I remember hated parasite eve 2. He hated it cause its too much action and did not focus on suspense drama and science which is the main core of PE. Its also the reason he didnt allow SE anymore to use the rights of PE. So SE ended up changing alot of the story since they promised a parasite eve game. They cant even use the title parasite eve to the game so they used 3rd birthday as a hint that its a parasite eve game without the title. Hoping someday the author and SE makes a deal again so they can properly due a another parasite eve game.
Cursed mountain would be in this category that needs a remake. A totally unique horror experience that was exclusive to the wii, if you havnt played it yet, trust me, you need to give it a go.
For those who wants to play the SEGA CD version of Snatcher, the best option is to play on a sofmodded Wii (or Wii U) using the "Genesis Plus GX" emulator. By doing that and using a Wii Classic Controller pluged on the Wiimote, you will have the complete experience of game as intended. You'll use the Wii Classic Controller for the text adventure parts and the Wiimote for the Lightgun parts.

Eternal Darkness was such a epic game, Fantastic story and the sanity effects were on point for the day! I also Enjoy when you did future characters, how little and how much each places changed.
Surprised and happy to see Snatcher mentioned. Never played the original, so got to play it on a retro handheld a few years ago and man, truly a hidden gem. If it were to be re-released on steam on gog it would be an insta-buy for me.

Loved that game but the problem is the game is hated and banned in some countries due to its story that includes child molestation (Dianah is hinted be molested by Hoffman, Clara raped and apparantly did abortiom in the story etc. Sony is gonna have a hard time putting that game on. Its sad that its one of the horror games published by atlus that really has good story.

Honestly i think that konami was smart for just re releasing silent hill 2 because of its success, I honestly think they should do a dual remake of silent hill 1 and 3 since their stories are linked.

Would have said the marvel vs Capcom games but thank god that collection came out (we still need UMvC3 with rollback) Tatsunoko vs Capcom will be one of the only Capcom fighting games that still need a re release. Re-release I 100% get, the current trend of people begging for the games industry to be the same as the film industry I don't get at all. Even people here in the comments begging for it. I said the same on a vid of a play through of TR4 the other day where someone was begging for the Tomb Raider re-skins that have just been confirmed (I refuse to call a re-skin with broken controls a re-master and that's before the 'Its that well 're-mastered' they've had to patch it three times!) and got a load of replies saying 'its for preservation' yeah the 9th biggest selling PS1 game needed preserving, over 7 million copies sold on PS1 alone, ported to literally everything and countless play throughs on YT proving it's really not that hard to play but yeah it need a new paint job and broken controls for 'preservation' I totally get having re-releases but not this whole 'Praise a new paint job but now broken game.' Announced for remakes this year alone Tomb raider, Metal Gear, Silent Hill 2, Max Payne, FInal Fantasy, Persona, Dark Forces, KOTOR, Brothers, Dragon Quest, Prince of Persia Sands of Time, Riven, Splinter Cell, The Witcher, Paper Mario, Sam and Max, Beyond Good and Evil, Luigi's Mansion, Tony Hawk's, Ratchet & Clank, Demon's Souls, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Soul Reaver. If all these people are that good why can't they make their own games? Eternal Darkness doesn’t need a re-release. It needs a remake. Let me explain. Eternal Darkness needs to get a remake for the Switch 2 for a few reasons. One are the controls, two is obviously the graphics, and three is the sanity effects. Like some of the sanity effects in Eternal Darkness aren’t as effective as they were back then, so maybe keep some of the sanity effects but add in new ones to replace some of the old ones. But Nintendo could make an option to play with the original controls, the original graphics and the original sanity effects so fans of the original can play the game how it originally was.
I was looking into the Tales Of games and found they had some SNES/PS1 games that have not really been rereleased. Classic Thief is playable but could REALLY use official HD texture support (I've tried the mod, last time it didn't work) there's also a lot of old licensed or shovelware games that are just.... too legally complicated to go back to and that is a real shame.
omg I want the remake of "Broken Sword" saga, I never finished it because the emulator crashes at a certain point in the game; all "Digimon" games especially digimon 1 and "Creatures" too, it's a pc game

Parasite Eve and Silent Hill were my go to's on the PSOne. RE2 came on the same system after trying and failing with the original RE game. Eternal Darkness should get some Nintendo love. God, that game was freaky. The Dragoon Panzer game... Didn't it get a remaster? I have a game similar in name on Switch.
I'd love to play RE Outbreak one day, wish it had an AI buddy system because I can't play it online. 4:23 Also, why he look identical to Thomas Rogan from "The House of The Dead" series? Speaking of "The 3rd Birthday", I planed to play it few years ago, I even went to play 1 and 2 before it(Parasite Eve 1 & 2), and had a cracked copy to try on PSP emulator, tried minutes of it then never got time, still want I play the entire 3rd title.
Hopefully, if SH2Remake does well in sales, then they might go with SH1. SH2 was a safe bet to start with instead of the first one IMO, so fingers crossed

The story of Snatcher is one of the best.

Snatcher works perfectly on Picodrive. And if the saving doesn't work, you can just use save states as it's emulation.

Metal Arms, the ps2 Transformers Armada game, and every single Armored Core game.

Re-release I 100% get, the current trend of people begging for the games industry to be the same as the film industry I don't get at all. Even people here in the comments begging for it. I said the same on a vid of a play through of TR4 the other day where someone was begging for the Tomb Raider re-skins that have just been confirmed (I refuse to call a re-skin with broken controls a re-master and that's before the 'Its that well 're-mastered' they've had to patch it three times!) and got a load of replies saying 'its for preservation' yeah the 9th biggest selling PS1 game needed preserving, over 7 million copies sold on PS1 alone, ported to literally everything and countless play throughs on YT proving it's really not that hard to play but yeah it need a new paint job and broken controls for 'preservation' I totally get having re-releases but not this whole 'Praise a new paint job but now broken game.' Announced for remakes this year alone Tomb raider, Metal Gear, Silent Hill 2, Max Payne, FInal Fantasy, Persona, Dark Forces, KOTOR, Brothers, Dragon Quest, Prince of Persia Sands of Time, Riven, Splinter Cell, The Witcher, Paper Mario, Sam and Max, Beyond Good and Evil, Luigi's Mansion, Tony Hawk's, Ratchet & Clank, Demon's Souls, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Soul Reaver. If all these people are that good why can't they make their own games? I have to admit this is a good list and it's refreshing to hear re-release, for games we can't play I totally agree with re-release. Take the Silent Hill 2 remake, how is that presevation? It's a different game! I just Googled Silent Hill 2 Rom, pages upon pages of sites offering it, It's not lost or rare its ubiquitous. Again I have to say for things we can't play re-release would be amazing.

Oooooh yes!! Outbreak and Silent Hill especially deserve the re-releases 100%. Another fantastic survival horror game I want to add is Extermination. I have never seen a re-release of that😭

What they should Re-Make Is "Advanced Guardian Heroes," "Jack Bros," "Dancing Swords," "NFL Blitz," "Clock Tower," "Resident Evil Gaiden," "Sweet Home (RE1 doesn't count)" and a Way, Way Better "XIII." ps: when ever your done with "Snatcher" let me know I would love to play it. Eternal Darkness doesn’t need a re-release. It needs a remake. Let me explain. Eternal Darkness needs to get a remake for the Switch 2 for a few reasons. One are the controls, two is obviously the graphics, and three is the sanity effects. Like some of the sanity effects in Eternal Darkness aren’t as effective as they were back then, so maybe keep some of the sanity effects but add in new ones to replace some of the old ones. But Nintendo could make an option to play with the original controls, the original graphics and the original sanity effects so fans of the original can play the game how it originally was.
I was looking into the Tales Of games and found they had some SNES/PS1 games that have not really been rereleased. Classic Thief is playable but could REALLY use official HD texture support (I've tried the mod, last time it didn't work) there's also a lot of old licensed or shovelware games that are just.... too legally complicated to go back to and that is a real shame.

Speaking of "The 3rd Birthday", I planed to play it few years ago, I even went to play 1 and 2 before it(Parasite Eve 1 & 2), and had a cracked copy to try on PSP emulator, tried minutes of it then never got time, still want I play the entire 3rd title.
