Loving learning the wrestling here in the UK where there's very little in the way of good wrestlers to learn from. So much missing from BJJ that wrestling adds to, far too many ppl only teaching ibjjf ruleset that takes out far too much wrestling offers IMO. Thank you for these videos.

That's awesome for mma or self defense, as well. You're in perfect position for doing a standing ankle/foot lock! Plus, if you're used to being in a boxing orthodox stance, this setup is perfect. Since training BJJ, wrestling, and grappling in general (starting in standup), I now like the southpaw stance even though I'm right handed. I like using my strong arm and foot forward for grappling. Also, it's a great way to get a boxer introduced to grappling.
Nice. I saw Chris Weidman teaching Stephen wondeboy this technique on Stephen's channel, he was telling him to underhook that leg deep into the bicep just like this coach.
Great video once again. Can someone please explain the set-up: why is his left hand posted on the shoulder while he uses the right to reach/snatch the leg? Is there any particular reason for that posting hand?
Find the Single Leg takedown (and kicking out the support leg) on pg.119 Tao of jkd! There's a reason people say Lee was the grandfather of MMA, I say he was the Godfather; Gene Label would be grandpa MMA
He keeps saying "pull" but I'm sure he's pushing his head into him lol. Good technique though! I do tend to lift the heavy leg instead of ramming my head into him to lighten the leg
This dude got murder in his eyes lol but this is probably my favorite tech youve posted from the 2019 camp. Thanks to both of you 🤼♂️

Is catch wrestling still taught in Wigan or anywhere else in England or is that something that’s become more popular away from where it started?

Excellent technique Guys 🙏
Amazing technique. Thanks
My favourite takedown!!!
Nice short video, Love it
Great! Most of the people I work out with are in orthodox stance (MMA). I'm guessing I need to switch to south-paw to do this?
Docinaplane that’s a good question
@@harageilucid4352 Thanks!
Youre welcome. But i have to admit that I was a little dyslexic when i originally wrote that and had to fix the second part.
@@harageilucid4352 lol. I hate when that happens :-)

When he says pull he is talking about his arm pulling on the leg “pulling” his head into position to head butt the body.
