If you want to catch up on the story hat youve missed they have a playlist on their channel called 'The Story' with their recent music videos in an order that tells a story thats worth checking out. A broad overview is that their is a character called 'Clancy', trapped in a city called 'Dema' on the continent of 'Trench', who is constantly trying to escape and in this album it seems he is returning back to the city to fight back, kinda seems like its a metaphor for battling insecurities and dealing with mental healh struggles.
They have a story behind their music that spans over now 4 albums with this new one coming out - they released a video called "I Am Clancy" that helps catch everyone up on the story
Jealous of anyone that gets to see them more than once or twice. You know we’ll get some uke somewhere, wouldn’t be tøp without it. Yes this album will be the culmination of the story throughout the last few albums. As mentioned there’s a ‘story so far’ video out that can catch you up. The slower lyrics at the beginning are a nod to a track off of trench -Banditø Nice reaction
tyler said the 'dangerous bend symbol' in the lyrics is based on signs in the UK warning of a windy road and he was thinking the times in his life when he has ignored the metaphorocal warning signs which has gotten him into trouble and then he has kinda tried to overcorrect or 'overcompensate'.
Something that will help get you up to speed is a vid they just released called I Am Clancy. Tyler explains the lore and catches everyone up because he’s ending this storyline with the upcoming album may 17!! 🎉🎉🎉
Ahhh -- you've been sleeping on these guys -- time to catch up!! There is a new album dropping in May that will be the culmination of the lore -- so get to it! lol. You could also use them for reaction videos -- I'm looking forward to it!
