Thinking about about going to Disney by yourself??? Get your own travel planner AND itinerary here: www.themeparkhipster.com/disneytimelineplanner
I travel 3-4 times a year by myself and I've done it for years. My friends still ask me "You're going by yourself?" Yes. I like traveling my myself and I can do what I want and when I want. I don't have to worry about someone not wanting to go or eat at a particular place. Don't be afraid. Get out there!
Absolutely!!!!! 🙌🙌🙌
I can't understand why people think it is the kiss of death if you go on a trip by yourself. It's not. I can't stand people's rude comments when they ask that as I got asked a lot at my old job. It was always who you going with so I just lied and I'm going with a friend or friends.
I'm going to Walt Disney World by myself this weekend Im scared, excited and proud of myself. Thank you for sharing your story!
Doing my first solo trip to Orlando for my birthday in April this just gave me so much more courage to do so ❤️❤️
I’m doing my first solo trip and to Disneyworld next weekend! I’m nervous but I feel good on how prepared I am! Thanks for this pep talk! ♥️
My pleasure! What makes you the most nervous about your upcoming solo trip?
I needed this video.....
Thank you so much 🙏
Booked my first Disney solo trip April 21-25, 2021
Glad it was helpful! Have you thought about doing a solo trip to Disney (or any theme park)?
Cheers! 🙏🏼 I’m doing my first solo trip too to Disneyworld April 25-26th!
Yeah I came to this video after tryin to plan a trip with my friends, but none of them were able to come. I’m tryin to go down to Orlando there to meet someone too and I get socially anxious easily on my own, so going these parks on my own scares me. But I know I need to get myself out of my comfort zone and just as you said “self discover”
I'm happy to hear that you're thinking about doing the parks on your own. We have a group of Solo Theme Park Travelers on Facebook if you'd like to meet other people who are thinking about traveling to Disney alone. Just search "Theme Park Hipsters" and you'll find us all there :)
Good advice, went downtown by myself in my city--baby steps to one day going to Galaxy Edge FL solo...💪
Yep, baby steps! Doing Galaxy’s Edge solo is so much fun. You can truly get lost in all the little details there 😊
Planning my first solo trip to Orlando for the end of October. 😁 Can’t wait!
I’m planning my first solo trip to Disney World in November!
That’s funny. I’m planning for the end of next month too. Just thought about it for Universal for Halloween. I’ve wanted to go for a few years.
@@amira_shmira, did you go?? How was it goin Solo??
@@tita8202 I had a grand ole time. I actually enjoyed it more that Halloween Nights at Universal.
Girl you really are inspiring. These are some amazing reasons and tips that people should travel to Disney solo. I absolutely love it. Get to do everything that you want when you want.
You inspire me too! Love your positivity and how you explore the parks in your own fun and unique way 😊
Thanks for this video, I just came back from DisneyWorld and had a horrible time going with my siblings. So much compromising, confusion, and arguments. I'm going back this coming April. Alone!
Thanks for sharing. I love traveling by myself, I do my research ahead of time so I don't feel overwhelmed nor surprised of any complications. I'm very introverted, and I enjoy doing things on my own time and pace.
Thank you for your wonderful insight and tips!
What a profound share. Disneyland's not for me, but I've gone solo to Knott's Scary Farm and Legoland. I resonate with many of your points. I sat next to strangers on rides. Having short funny conversation with them was nice. I've heard one guy shout, "Why's he all alone??" Plenty of memorable, unique experiences.
I go solo cuz I don't feel understood by anyone; even my close friends don't get me.
1) I feel alone being around ppl who aren't inclined to high-lvl compassionate, intelligent, substantial conversations.
2) Also, everyone's pacing is different. I feel dragged down by slow people (they rly need to finish their unimportant text msg or to get their faulty Bluetooth speaker to work), or I feel rushed by others (they eat so fast while I'm only 2/3 done with my meal, so I don't get to relax and enjoy my meal). (oh hey, you resonate with me at 9:45 xD )
3) Also, trying to align everyone's day-off with yours is extra burdensome. I can take a sick day anytime, but one friend may need a one-week notice, while another friend might not be able to take a day-off until next month.
Nuclear tip: bring earphones and a language-learning audio program. Cuz those hour-long lines give you forever to catch up on your Pimsleur. Better than scrolling around and depleting your battery.
5:54 "'No YOU have to compromise.' On those solo travels everything is about what you want." Preach it sis!
8:57 heck yeah, I seldom go to the theater, but when I do, I only go alone nowayears.
I sure hope to someday bump into you at a random theme park around the globe.
I am going on my first solo trip from the UK this November for my birthday, as my friend can no longer go. Love this video - just what I needed! Thankyou! Have subscribed ❤️
Yes, solo trips to Disney are the best, most relaxing and takin it slow kind of trips to have. I’m glad you decided to do what makes you happy with your life.
Enjoyed
I’m thinking of doing my first solo trip to Disney World, I’m from the UK so it’s quite a way and I know my parents really don’t want me to. I’m so torn😩
I was so scared, but it was shockingly relaxing. I want to try it at least once a year.
i know this video is 2 years old, but this is motivational. i'm 25 years old but have bulldozer parents and i would love to travel by myself. i need courage to go and just do it and i am also and introvert with extrovert tendencies. so this gives me hope for traveling by myself :)
I'm a introvert with extrovert tendencies as well but prefer traveling alone and sometimes fear holds me back what if this happens or that happens.I love being able to go at my pace do what I want definitely gives you more confidence and becomes easier the more you step out and just go.
Wow, thank you for that story. Just know that you have a fellow introvert with extrovert tendencies and I got your back. If you come to Disney, I’d love to say hi on your visit 💙
Going to Disney solo next week. Did Universal solo last summer. I love the freedom to do whatever I want on my own time. When I was tired, I went and slept. No disappointing anyone else.
I love going to theme parks alone. Yes I love going with family but when you go alone you can do what you want when you want to
Perfectly stated!
Wow I feel the same way about my career. I’m a Nurse Case Manager. It’s very draining and I’m always dreaming about traveling and gaining new experiences. I’m glad I found your channel. ❤️
I TOTALLY feel you! I have worked around so many healthcare professionals and I understand how demanding the job can be. Many times you just need an escape to keep going. Disney became that escape for me.
Thank you for this video !! I actually only live about 4 hours away from Orlando but the thought of traveling that far away alone freaks me out . Thanks for the motivation. You have a new subscriber !!
Thank you for watching! I am so happy to hear that you're thinking about having a solo trip out to Disney. Remember that I'm here to help so please don't hesitate to reach out to me :)
Thank you so much for this. I'm going by myself for the first time in January 2024. So exciting and scary at the same time.
You're going to have a great time! Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Thank you for showing me that I can do Disney solo!
You are so welcome!
This just sealed the deal for me. Im gonna go by myself. I CAN DO it. Its gonna take some time, but i want to go to Disneyworld on my own.
Doing my first solo trip in September!!! 😀
Have fun! Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions :)
I live in Orlando and I'm thinking about getting an annual pass but I'm nervous about going alone. Thanks for this video.
My pleasure! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions 😊
I went to Magic Mountain by myself that was my first “adult” trip alone It was perfect but it was scary as hell at first but once I got to my hotel it was easy there were no lines. I go to kings island alone all the time and it to six flags over Texas alone when I lived in Dallas. As long as I have my music I’m good. When your doing what you enjoy the most it’s so easy. When your alone you can do what ever you want. I plan on going to Kings Dominion and Bush Gardens Williamsburg alone for Memorial Day.
Great tips! Thank you! I think researching and planning will be key for my solo trip. I’m thinking of going next year, maybe for my bday, as I’ve never been.
I am in Tampa for work for a couple of months, planning for a solo trip to Disneyworld and this video gives me more confidence. THank you. yet i still finding for a partner here. ahahhahaha
I'm glad I found your channel ❤❤
Aww, thank you!!!
I might try this next week. A little nervous but I think I can do it, I think I can, lol just kidding I know I can I do it all the time Love you so much incredible video keep it up keep it up
Thank you! You're a pro at solo travel 😀
Thank you for this video I’ve been a solo travel for along time now always wanted to do Disney but there’s something about it I just can’t get the courage to go there alone
Beautiful advice! Thank you!
My pleasure! Are you thinking about having a solo trip?
been thinking about solo traveling, thanks for sharing
This is a really great video! I was expecting the typical Disney tips and hacks but got so much more! Thanks!
My pleasure! If you ever think about going solo, please don't hesitate to reach out to me :)
Nice Kevin Samuels backup music 😂
I literally pick up & travel the world buy myself its the most amazing experience
It absolutely is!
Thank you for the kind words and good advice
Thank you for this! Listened to you and Amanda with Lou Mongello on WDWRadio podcast talking about best places at WDW to dine solo. That podcast and your videos have inspired me! Excited to venture out of my home town and go on more solo vacations - starting with WDW! Thanks again, this was very helpful.
My pleasure! I'm so happy to hear that you are going to take the leap and do more solo trips starting at Disney. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions :)
Thank you for this awesome video. I've secretly always had the desire to go to Disney by myself. I'm only 3 hours away by car, so I can literally go whenever. Especially since my partner's work schedule is very different than mine. I'm home alone a lot and daydream a lot about solo trips. BUT, I feel guilty planning a fun time without him. Maybe one day.
You are so welcome! I understand how you feel about the guilt. Maybe if you did a trip where you start off the first half solo with your fiancé coming in on the other half of the trip. This may make you both happy. But, if he really wants to go and would be upset with you going alone, I can understand that too.
if my sis isnt down for hhn this year, im making it solo but still a bit nervous
You can do it! You're pretty brave for going to Halloween Horror Nights alone. I did it once and it was quite an ADVENTURE! Let me know if you have any questions 😀
@@NikkyJThemeParkHipster omg! would you be making a video about it? it'd be really helpful
@@cynm1821 I sure can! 😊
I travel often alone but not to a theme park, planning my first time alone a WDW!
Yay!!! Please let me know how it goes 😊
I really wanna go to Disney this year and sadly can’t find anyone to go with but the thought of doing it solo scares me. I’ve traveled solo before but Disney would be a big step 😓 I hope to be able to conquer this fear soon
I TOTALLY understand. It can be a big park to take on. If you do decide to come alone, I recommend staying on-site at a place like the Swan or Dolphin Resort. That way you'll be right in the middle of all the action. So, if you get a bit overwhelmed, you can quickly return to your room and regroup ☺️
On the road to 1k
Thank you!!!!
@@NikkyJThemeParkHipster ok u hit it
@@Idontknow-hl5mh Yay!!! thanks for letting me know that I hit it! I'm super happy 😊
Thank you ♥️
I needed it this!! I want my first own solo trip but very intimidated
You can do it! I know it can be a bit scary at first to think of going to Disney alone, but if you need any help, please don't hesitate to reach out to me :)
Omg, I love your vibe! Definitely subscribing✨✨✨
Yay! Thank you! If you have any video requests that you want me to do, please don't hesitate to let me know 😀
So true, amen sister!
Have you ever driven a long drive alone for your solo trips?
At the most 8 hours, but I do love the long distance drives. I recommend taking some time to plan out your route, leave right before sunrise and try to avoid driving at night (for safety reasons) if you can.
@@NikkyJThemeParkHipster Yes safety! I am driving from Louisiana, so I plan on driving half way, before the sunset, stopping mid way and staying at a hotel and then driving early the day of check-in at Disney
Thank you for this video!
You are so welcome!
Love your channel.
How did you take your pictures? Did you carry a tripod or did you ask people to take one for you?
I asked people to take my photos, but Disney Cast Members are more than willing to take your photo. People understand and they may ask you to take theirs too.
I truly love this video. This had me thinking if I could branch out and explore different places by myself.
You definitely can!!!! Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions ☺️
Any advice on how to talk a spouse into letting you go alone? Every time I bring up that I want to go to DW alone, my spouse takes it personally and gets upset that I don’t want them there with me.
That's a tough one. Especially since they want to join you too. Maybe you guys can meet in the middle where you get there a day or two early and your spouse can join you later that week.
That's a good tip, but the spouse likely still won't handle well.
I have a better not-really-viable tip for you: don't get married. Kind of a joke, kinda not. Cuz practically, the definition of marriage is compromise. Someone's gotta give. I know I'm rly difficult, and ppl are difficult, so I'll prob nvr get married.
Love these tips, thank you!
I'm definitely going back by myself. I went there with my family and......nah. love them but noooo.
That’s how I feel 😂😂😂
I want you to know I always go to Disney by myself, and while I do find a sense of freedom to do what you want by yourself, sometimes, it's just not the same when you have a companion, it also makes you feel left out of alot of things.
Welcome to reality. Many friends and relatives rly aren't compatible. We tend to invite to eschew loneliness. I've nvr been successful at finding a compatible companion to feel included in a lot of things. Instead I make peace with loneliness. Accept that maybe no one alive is capable of understanding me.
My (ex) we were supposed to go together in august he broke with me… broke my heart. We been together for almost 4 years now. We been planning this trip for 4 months now and it’s a few weeks away… should I just go alone or just cancel this trip.
I hope you were able to still go alone to Disney 💜💜💜
@@NikkyJThemeParkHipster yes I did! My sister actually took his spot! lol ❤️
