- In this video we shall learn about the differences between the two bewilderbeasts, the alpha dragons that appeared in the movie How to train your dragon 2. These gigantic monster dragons are the biggest in the franchise, even dwarfing the red death and other bigger dragons. These dragons are alpha tidal class dragons, which mean that they are primarily aquatic in nature and they don't seem to possess any fiery breath but instead has the icy breath as their main attack. They also have two large tusks that they use to battle each other in combat, ramming against themselves like rhinos and big deer species. So these two bewilderbeast are pitched against each other in size, power, origins and temperament, put against each other in comparison. Of course in the movie, the Drago's bewilderbeast won the fight but how did it do it? Was the other one, Valka's bewilderbeast much more weaker or was there some other factors that came into be during the fight. Not only because it was abused all its life but the bewilderbeest was probably younger then the white one. Meaning that the white bewilderbeest was weak, old, but wiser.

The eyes on Drago’s Bewilderbeast seem to be a colour blue as well. I’m not sure if it’s just colouring, but Drago’s Bewilderbeast’s eyes seem to be bloodshot. As you can see in the centre of Drago’s Bewilderbeast’s eyes, they’re a nice pale blue like Valka’s Bewilderbeast. Maybe it’s from over-controlling dragons.
In the hidden world, Drago's bewilderbeast is blind, it has no eye colour and no pupil, what is the eye colour of blind people, white

In race to the edge, the mini series, hiccup saved an egg of a bewilderbeast which valka took and raised, becoming the bewilderbeast on the movie

I am hard pressed to believe those are the same, I suspect that egg is different than the egg that hatched Valka's bewilder-beast and she took it in order to protect the egg meaning it's likely either still in the frozen caves, or has newly hatched
yes at beserk island there lives the bewilderbeast which layed an egg which hiccup gave to the maidens and they putted in ontop of a mountain to protect it and then hiccup's mother came and took it

I’m the show httyd race to the eage on the last episode you can see valka taking the bewilerdeast egg so she raised it
we also know that drago got his bewilderbeast after race to the edge so he did not find it in his first conquest actually a quite recent one. This means that both dragons are yearlings and might not be at their full size.

@@daimiyanhuber7520 I don't think that is possible as the bewilderbeast in berserker Island was clearly white with blue eyes not grey with red eyes.Drago could not change that so he must have gotten a different one. we also know that neither of the bewilderbeast we see the full body of are titan wings(maybe even not broadwings) due to the vanaheim bewilderbeast skeleton.

@@mohammedashfaq8191 I think everybody who’s seen rtte thinks that. There 18 in rtte and 20 in httyd 2. So if the bewiderbeast that valka has in that one from rtte that means it was 2 years old. It’s confusing

First of all the black bewilderbeast's tusks were designed to fight and the White bewilderbeast's tusks were designed for protection in most beasts from dragons to dinosaurs the same designs are used for predators and prey in offence and defence so when the fight happened the offence or black bewilderbeast was ready for that fight and the white bewilderbeast was not the fighter type and the black bewilderbeast was tamed by drago as drago has tamed dragons by roaring at them who's to say that it was against his will but to his liking
Yeah, drago’s bewilderbeast had hook like tusks, while valka’s had straight tusks. Which is why it was able to hook under valka’s bewilderbeast’s head and throw it aside. I have noticed drago’s had dry cracked skin and scars, and holes in it’s wings/fins. I first thought that it might be slightly smaller but was difficult to tell.
And drago's bewilderbeast is slightly larger then valka's bewilderbeast as its been living longer then white bewilderbeast as its a type of bewilderbeast black bewilderbeast must be training when it have a small tusks when it was born so we could tell that black bewilderbeast is a type of bewilderbeast other then a fighter i've been living in this world for 19 years but still don't know why or do they fight with tusks
Dondon the dog actually drago’s bewilderbeast is younger. At least that is what I read. Maybe 2 years younger since in race to the edge the ending Drago says that “he will find a king of dragons himself”. Saying that he doesn’t have one yet. This kinda proves that bewilderbeast grow very rapidly or have a titan wing form. This is where a dragon will have a major growth spurt and new details.
And also in race to the edge. Hiccup found Vanahiem, the resting place to some dragons. It is a island made from the skeleton of a massive bewilder beast. Maybe 10 times bigger than Valka’s bewilderbeast. It was theorized that this one died of old age rather than getting killed.
@@Billie115 also, they fight with their tusks as weapons. As you can see when Valka’s bewilderbeast gets killed Drago’s stabbed it with it’s tusks. The tusks are naturally made weapons to enforce dominance over other dragons. It is the same with elephants fight. They clash tusks while fighting other elephants.
Was gonna mention that myself. The white bewilderbeast has straight almost downwards facing tusks, which are good at digging and blocking, but not fighting, while the blacks upwards facing tusks are clearly designed to hook and stab. My guess for this, due to the location of the chains as well, is that drago was able to manipulate the growth of these tusks by somehow blocking certain directions, forcing them to grow up and in, making the fighting stabbing weapons we see.

Fun fact, Valka actually discovered her bewilderbeast when it was an egg, in httyd race to the edge, the mini series.
even though valka at the end took the egg i feel like drago stole that egg from her.
i think valka ended up making the adult bewilderbeast living under beserker island to move, because dragon hunters knew where to find it, which she then ended up living with that bewilderbeast.
if valkas where the egg it would have been much younger then dragos and should of theoretically won.

Its tusks curved up, which allowed it to get more hard hits off.
Valka’s Bewilderbeast chose to obey Valka to stop fighting. That allowed Drago’s Bewilderbeast to pin Valka’s Bewilderbeast down, and stab his underbelly with the sharper tusks.

if u remember in dragon race to the edge last episode of the last season the valcrie put the bewilder beast egg some place were then hiccups mother found it.this could mean that the egg she found was the son of drago bewilderbeast and the place were all the dragons are were formed when the egg hatched causing my opinion to be that dragos bewilderbeast is hiccups mothers bewilderbeast son but the reason hiccups mother bewilderbeast is a white and dragos is a black is maybe cuz of the mother dragos bewilderbeast had breeded with is a white causing hiccups mothers bewilderbeast a white like its mother and not a black like dragos bewilderbeast his father.

One thing, is drago's bewilder beast is valka's bewilder beast parent, if anyone seen the final episodes of the httyd show, you can notice that the parent bewilder beast was trying to save its egg from drago's men and won, so hiccup and his friends gsve the egg to the winged mages and they hid it on a cliff where valka found it and raised it to be the bewilder beast she has in the second movie, so it was parent vs child in that fight

He didn’t abandon him he just liked the triple Stryke more as a dragon to fly because at the end when Daguerre gets married to molla you can see shatter master in the background
There's a theory that Shattermaster was too injured to ever fly again so Dagur couldn't ride him and just kept him alive and happy on Berserker island. And then he flew 'Mr.Triple Stryke' instead.

No, I don't think the Berserker Island Bewilderbeast was Drago's.
a) The Berserker Island Bewilderbeast was smaller and was probably a female Bewilderbeast.
b) It had very similar tusks to Valka's Bewilderbeast and Drago's Bewilderbeast's tusks were very different to Valka's Bewilderbeast.
c) The Berserker Island Bewilderbeast was white and slightly red like her son whereas Drago's Bewilderbeast was dark red and grey.
The ending of the dragons race to the edge was valka talking the egg of the bewilder beast but u are roght the dragos alpha is female and there are two males in the dragon world

mohammed ashfaq I think it was a different one from the egg, because valka’s armor is like the bewilderbeast, with tusks and spikes. Also she said that when she was taken she was taken “to the home of the great bewilderbeast” meaning it was there before. Most likely the egg was their but hatched and left on it’s own and grew large and had to make it’s own home. But that is just my thoughts.

Bewilderbeasts are 8 or 9 tons they stated in an episode called “dragon stats how to train your dragon 2 bonus feature” which is pretty light for a dragon thats 520ft long
I find that hard to believe. Tanks are smaller than this dragon and are about 40 tons

Valka actually raised the Bewilderbeast as at the end of the series, Hiccup saves an egg and gives it to be mother, not knowing it is her, she then takes care of it.
i dont think so, in the 2nd movie valka said cloudjumper took her to the king as thats where he thought she belonged there instead of dragon killers (aka berk).
and htty rtte ended when hiccup was 18/19 years old, which wouldnt give the bewilerdbeast to grow that size in 1 or 2 years because it seems to short for a dragon that size

Nope, HTTYD 2 was released in 2014 but the episode of RTTE where they introduce the King of Dragons was released in 2018, so people saw the Bewilderbeast in HTTYD 2 way before they made that episode in RTTE.
Probably referring to the cinematic timeline but yes, HTTYD 2 gave us the first look
Actually draco's bewilderbeast is the father of valca's bewilderbeast that is why it was defeated by draco's alpha... When the fights end hiccup in trusted the womens with wings to hide the egg away from draco and so they did they travel very far and place it in a rock and as the womens with wings flew away valca appeared from no where and she took the egg and raised it... While the other bewilderbeast dive beneath the ocean but one of draco's minion able to find it so he tells draco where the bewilderbeast gone too

I don't think that Valka's Bewilderbeast is dead or else Drago's one would have blood on its tusks or blood flowing out onto the ice.

The ice thing was made after valca hatched the egg of the bewilderbeast
in the 2nd movie valka said cloudjumper took her to the king as thats where he thought she belonged there instead of dragon killers (aka berk). which meant it was already made
and htty rtte ended when hiccup was 18/19 years old, which wouldnt give the bewilerdbeast to grow that size in 1 or 2 years because it seems to short for a dragon that size

To anyone who thinks the egg in race to the egg is valka’s bewilderbeast is wrong. Valka said the dragons brought her to the nest 20 years ago and there was no nest without the bewilderbeast so valka’s is 20+. But drago in the end of the series says he wants the king of dragons meaning he didn’t have one yet so drago’s is 2-. The egg might have had to be fertilised in order to hatch so maybe it wasn’t. I think the bewilderbeast under berserker island is related to valka’s because they have the exact same horns in the exact same spaces. Either that or they are the same dragon which is unlikely because valka’s one had to be in the nest. You can’t change my mind and if you have ANY questions, just ask me and i will answer.
That may not be true because it is very possible that there was an older Bewilderbeast who used to be the king of dragons and it could be that the older Bewilderbeast died between the end of RTTE and the start of HTTYD 2 and the egg that Valka had took over as the king of dragons.

@@petkochamukov6926 It could be that the skeleton on Vanaheim was very old and that Bewilderbeasts stopped going to Vanaheim because there wasn't enough space for them. So Valka's old Bewilderbeast might have died in the nest and could be underwater where the younger king of dragons lives.

a bewilderbeast would not be able to grow that fast in 1 or 2 years
My real question is, if Valka received a hatchling, and Drago found another hatchling, what happened to the 3rd one?
