torchlight infinite actually has a fantastic training dummy i'd be happy to see blizz rip off. It works in real time, showing your average dps as well as your highest 5 second window. Gives you an idea of your burst window and average dps very quickly.
Tempering should be changed. Let us choose what we want but give us less % and make it costs more gold/materials. If you choose to roll the dice, give higher % on the rolls and make it cheaper.
What developers don’t seem to understand is that having extra item slots enables those classes to have many more aspects, affixes, and tempering additions than others can have. This significantly buffs those classes while significantly limiting the classes who don’t have extra item slots. Increasing damage in some classes and decreasing it in others isn’t going to make up for the difference between having extra aspects, affixes, and tempering additions from having additional item slots. There is no reason they can’t give every character class the same number of item slots. It’s like none of the developers have ever read a fantasy book. Sorcerers are insanely powerful and can use multiple weapon types and have them available to them at the same time in most books. They don’t typically use bows or bludgeoning weapons, but many use staffs, wands, daggers, swords, and sources (focus) and have all of them on their person at once. There is no reason sorcs in D4 can’t have an arsenal like barbs do. They don’t necessarily need to have the same arsenal skill setup, but the developers are just utterly ridiculous in their presentation of the sorc class and how much more they think a barbarian would outclass literally every other class of combatant. It’s time for all of the classes to have the same number of item slots.
I don't think the 3 more temper rolls will matter. Instead of giving you the same useless roll 5 times in a row it will just give it to you 8 times now.
Learn the tempering trick.. temper anogher item FIRST up to 5+ times what you Dont want, in a row. Then do your item. Ive almost never failed a temper. But it IS stressfull.
Nerfing both the defense passives and removing the tempering manual on Barb is unacceptable to me. I love the gear chase while thinking "one day I will be unkillable". Same goes for sorcerers not being able to be 100% immune (all the time) with flame shield with insane CD gear and +ranks to flame shield.
very happy to see that they acknowledge the fact other classes are weaker than barb due to the lack of equipment slots. but a flat dps buff to compensate has to be the laziest way they could have tried to fix that problem. (paraphrasing) they talk in interviews about rewards/buffs/damage being part of a pie chart and how it can be hard to find space available to give people meaningful rewards. this was the perfect opportunity for like… additional interesting class passives, extra enchant slot for sorc etc but they just give a % dps increase. thats so boring. i hope they are working on something better and this is just a temporary solution.
Update: After further consideration (thx Robb for clarifying), it is highly probable that the S5 change is not as I described below, but instead the CHD % simply acts as an additional additive stat in the "additive stat bucket" for bleeds with Gushing wounds, which def won't help nearly as much as before. Here is how I interpret the Gushing Wounds dmg calculation (assuming 4872.8% CHD): LIVE: 100% + 1.4 x CHD % = 1 + (1.4 x 49.738) = 70.63 multi (Edit: This is likely wrong) S5 Change: 1.7 + CHD % = 1.7 + 49.738 = 51.438 multi Change = 51.438/70.63 = 71.41% of previous dmg, or a 28.59% dmg loss. (again, likely not correct, will be much less dmg if it is indeed simply additive with rest of stats).
Hm interesting take - from my understanding the cd is just additive after the change. They mentioned they just want bleeds to function like normal Crit (so just additive category). We will have to wait & see!
Nah. Crt chance 100% => You have a 100% chance to do 70% (x) multiplicative damage and nothing more. ADDITIONALLY, you will do 100% (+) based on your crit damage.
Live: 100% + 2,4(increase by140% not 40%) x CHD% = 1 + (2,4 x 49.738) = 119.371 multi (assuming 4973,8% CHD) result in 56.9% dmg loss.....the rest is correct;)
@@Rob2628 Ah... I see. That is def a weird way of putting it in the description, but I guess that sorta makes sense since CHD normally doesn't work for bleeds, so now you are making it work for bleeds, but as an additive stat. I think you are likely correct though after further consideration.
@@AlexandraSpeaks the problem is that they nerfed barb while all other classes suck. which leads me to believe that they really do not know how to balance their classes lmao

@@aleksfreeman3627 honestly, I'm pretty pumped to be a druid player since a large part of the reason why druids were bad last season is because druids need a ton of uniques to make their builds work and uniques were bad last season. Did you feel good when you played other classes with their sub-par damage? Having played a rogue and sorc I didn't. Now barb has been brought into line with other classes, and the rest of the classes suck. If I want to play s5, I have to endure subpar dps, which sounds like a shitty deal to me
@@ItzumiMario Nah, barb is going to be fine. It'll be worse than last season but it's still going to be pushing farther than most classes were last season. Most classes also have pretty substantial buffs that should put everyone in a better spot. Also, I'm surprised you didn't do damage with a rogue. Rogue is insane this season.
The nerf to the gushing wounds passive is understandable but to nerf the other 3 passive is into the ground makes them completely useless. Build variety is a good thing but barbs are going to be limited to bleed builds once again.
@@Rob2628tbh, i understand their reason. Everything is getting nerf to x1.35% but walking arsenal which has a x1.56% + 20% atk speed increase is unreasonable because people would all start to use it then we'd be back in ground 0.
Well game kinda easy, i think it is the right call to nerf and make the game generally harder. I dont count pit 200, since it is not supposed to be doable imo, if everybuild that has good gear and 8/12 MW can do pit 61, then that would be good. everything after pit61 is just for the challange and hopefully they add a leaderboard to the pit.
@@HDPolarBear Why 61? I feel like 101 should be the baseline because that's the optimal level to to farm neathiron, past that is just for bragging rights

@blazedehart2748 I think the new uniques might make barb just fine or better than we think. It looks like we'll get easy 100% crit with easy Death blow core skill which means 140% multi from the aspect. This is definitely why they're nerfing the key.passives. imo. I think barb will be fine and maybe.even top tier. I hope^^ cause I love barb now ; ;
I'm pretty excited for the Sorc and Druid buffs but i wish they wouldnt have nerfed Barbs and Necros. Really wish they would have buffed the classes that needed it to keep it fun and exciting for all classes
Yeah hate when they do this shit. Just leave the class that is good as it is and buff the other classes appropriately. Also the sorceress survivability is still questionable, mana shield , barriers is trash gets depleted in split seconds. Ice armor got nerf, teleport got nerf, ccd got nerf. Flame shield got changed to work only after duration ends so it's going to be weird af trying to time it when to use and sorceress still only has w enchantment slots blizzard team doesn't know wtf they are doing
I know it looks like Barb got kicked in the teeth, but it's possible some of these nerfs were necessary to compensate for the unique reworks. Everyone got super upset when they saw the Bash temper reduced to 1/5th it's previous strength, but once they tested it on the PTR with the new unique sword, it was still super strong. The Walking Arsenal is really the only nerf that seems completely unjustified since I don't think the buffs were that big to begin with, which is likely why nobody was even playing it. Gushing Wounds will probably still be strong as well.
I never like nerfs based on gear. First, gear is RNG. Second, said gear becomes mandatory making everyone pick the same stuff even more than they do already. If you are unlucky and dont have that gear then your damage sucks.
@@sols.2525 I can certainly understand that, but I'm just saying that if they didn't lower some of these effects, while adding some of the new unique items, then it would be even more out of control. Also, they've made gear, including uniques, much easier to get and you can even target farm them next season, so it'll be kind of hard to not have the uniques you want. I personally would rather have a strong build because of unique gear rather than because I got lucky with tempering.
The problem is by the time you can get any of the good gear that character is basically finished. Or it just won’t drop for you etc etc. a bad way to try & do things. IMO.

18:28 Actually, Burning Instinct gets nerf. In s4 this paragon node doesn't have a cap (My sorc has x122% damage). PTR capped it at x40% then changed to cap x80%. Anyway, it is a nerf. Ceaseless Conduit also gets nerf. My sorc in s4 gets x240%. PTR capped it at x60% then changed to cap x120%. Elemental Summoner node in s4 also doesn't have a cap but s5 caps it at x60%. Yes, Frigid Fate, Searing Heat, and Icefall node are buffed.
I really dont understand some of those barb nerfs. Was Walking Arsenal that strong? LUL Their game philosophy seems weird and my copium levels for season 5 are depleting.
The Unconstrained nerf is way out of proportion... as was it was already barely usable. Gutting it by more than half will make it straight up unviable.
Barely usable is a bit of a stretch dontcha think? Considering I ran 101 pits with it meanwhile my almost fully masterworked sorc struggles? Gushing is far better late game but don't act for a second like 10 seconds berserk and 100x DMG is at all fair compared to other classes leveling key passives. Get real
@@droid5785 barely usable in the context of comparing to Gushing Wounds. Exactly to achieve 101. Oh btw some more testing shows that the full practical effect of the passive after the nerf will be a TOTAL of 8% dmg...haha increasing a rank on another skill is more valuable than wasting a skill point on the key passive
@@droid5785lol you could run 101 without taking a key passive as well. Just because you are making them does not make suboptimal decisions not suboptimal
I think instead of removing the protection tempers, they should have considered just reducing gutteral and martial by 1% or capped to 1 rank on temper so the 100% isn't obtainable instead. It is also weird to nerf imposing while also removing the temper, which ruins thorns viability. There is also just a lot of double dipping into nerfs across the board with barb. For example, we get caps to paragon nodes, but then they nerf key passives almost as if not considering what impact the paragon node change alone will have on the numbers. The idea of dipping into nerfing several things at once are going to result in damage feeling bad if you aren't using optimal gear with a more meta build. I will also add that they consistently nerf damage when as far as I know, even with current numbers no one is doing tier 200 pits.
Core skills was weak and now they are probably unplayable. I don't understand why they nerf unconstrained, walking arsenal and unbridled rage when it is bash, flay that was extremely OP and beserker ripping and dust devils and bleed from dust devils that is OP. Are the devs happy when core skills are so weak. The tool tip says powerful attacks. I want to hit demons with my weapons and not play a caster and spawn dust devils and holy bolts and never hit anything with my weapons. And why nerf when we have the pit? Polearm will probably be alot better than the grandfather with the changes to Gushing wounds.
Yeah since release they systematically destroyed Whirlwind, then Upheaval, then HOTA, and Rend has never been good. I know people wanted a Frenzy barb like in D3 but that doesn't mean only generator skills should do damage lol
The bash itself wasn't that big of an issue. The bleeds however, those I agree were absurd. I would've much preferred to bring up other classes to the level of direct bash and adjust the bleeds.
@@sixtynine226 well in their mind, just gutting barb is easier unfortunately, than actually making 3 other classes up to its level. and that just makes most things less fun. they just nerf so much like d4 is some super competitive game, when the vast majority of people just play it pve lol. its a revolving door with blizzard, nerfing shit to the ground is their mo, has been for 2 decades now
@@BloodyElbow707I know, part of me just wishes they would get rid of PVP all together and in its place put like a PVE Raid Zone or just something else. Whenever I’m on the PvP zones are always dead and some classes are very difficult to balance around them. It’s just frustrating with all of the hard caps and temper nerfs instead of just bringing under utilized builds up. I liked how Rob mentioned soft caps in a previous video and would definitely agree that these hard caps limit build diversity. There’s gotta be a better way to combat power creep without compromising and gutting the builds that people are having fun with.
Rob, Need to ask a Question and hope you can help. Say i find an amulet with the passive skill like Counter defence, but I do not have thick skin active. Would counter Defence then work or do you need it linked to the rest of your skill tree? I currently have an amulet with 2 passives on, only one is linked directly to my skill tree, the other one is not. Does it still apply?
I don't think main stat scaling is enough. The disparity is also the difference of how many aspects each character can hold. Or the number of unique gear that can be integrated to their respective builds that sacrificing an aspect wouldn't be so detrimental. And I've been saying this everywhere, Ossified Essence for Necro should return to 1.0!!! >,..,< Greater affix adds 1 more chance at rerolling temper ----> **unwanted affix rolls all 8 times on a 3GA** no difference!! it's like slapping duct tape on a crack on a dam
Can someone please help me understand Gushing Wounds calculations that Rob does around 27:00? Im trying to undestand the game better, and I have no idea how he arrived at that 34x nerf. I get how he arrived at his multiplier on live server, though according to my calculation it should not be 62,66x but rather 64,87x == ([4873,8*1,4]/100 + 1)*0,937 But I have absolutely no idea how he arrived at 1,84x multiplier given this patch notes, help please. Thx
I'm probably ok with the stat changes and the removal defensive temper, but they buthchered all of our key passives without giving any compromise??, wtf. And look at unbridled rage key passive 😂, it's a dead node in season 5. That walking arsenal, i remembered they buffed it cuz no one use it and now they nerf it 😂. Dead node. I don't know how their train of thought works 😂
Hey Rob! Love the videos - you’ve become a legend in Barbworld D4!!! Quick question, with the removing of the defensive tempering manuals will existing equipment have Imposing Presence tempering removed or replaced? I am planning on playing eternal realm with my Season 4 carry over barbarian and now I’m not sure if I want to play at all anymore…
We heard you, necro is underpowered after all of the gutting nerfs we have given it over the last year. So we are giving it a minor lucky hit buff! - Smooth Brain Blizzard
@@Rob2628 Any buff is welcomed, but overall, after watching the video the changes show me that Blizzard is completely out of touch with the community and what makes an ARPG fun to play. They didn't learn their lesson from season 1 at all, and their idea of balance is still taking a sledgehammer to whatever is the strongest class/skill/glyph/etc.. Main stat increases are nice, but that isn't the dividing factor in what makes Barb and Rogue so strong. It is the fact they have an extra weapon, barb having two, that they can put aspects on. They could have added one extra weapon slot for necro and sorc easily considering their weapon sets. Just make one slot for staff and greatsword/scythe. They can then equip their one hand, focus, and two hand and gain one extra aspect slot which would open up the builds to new ideas. I could go on forever since a majority of these changes are tone deaf to me. The uncapping of the dungeon mob xp scaling is just them removing a season 1 mistake that was a key reason the game died instantly. That is good, but they then add hard caps to key passives and paragon nodes? Hard caps are horrible for this game. The content is not hard, it is just a constant hp scale up for mobs. The mechanics are non existant. So finding a fun build that scales through the fuckin roof makes the brain dead content fun because you can just explode everything and get showered in loot. Adding hard caps only makes the brain dead content slower, not more complicated or intense. D4 is a kindergarten arpg so stop adding child proof locks to every class and let us fuckin finger paint!
minor? its double on most of them, and some skills were buffed more than double and main stat increase, dmg will go up by a ton on most builds, and it'll scale a lot better with the lucky hit you get making it even stronger

No he's not no one knows shit about season 5 no one knows the meta yet and wont until it launches just spewing bs
They can change the entire game, if they don't allow temper reroll reset like masterworking, that is hugely disappointing. We traded the loot RNG to never find items we really want to temper reroll RNG to break items we really want.
With the nerfs to unconstrained passive and protection temper being completely removed this makes it so playing thorns is unviable because you're damaged scales with your health, no more temper means no more health which is no more meaningful damage.
I understand removing that temper but they should have moved that passive rank to somewhere else, like an aspect or a unique item so that thorns is still viable
they only removed "immortal" tempers like Gutteral Yell or Martial Vigor but not Imposing Presence. And I think this was a good move because other classes can't temper "immortal" passives e.g. Druid can't temper IronFur, Vigilance, or Heightened Senses.
@@tomtomkowski7653i dont want to sound stupid but wasn’t literally EVERYONE running just imposing presence for more toughness where tf did this “ immortal “ barb 💩 come from ? i thought that was only the sorcs ?
PIT boss stacks is a big loss. I hate the stack mechanic in general and wish it wasn't in the game for any boss. I'd rather just have mechanics but no stack that will guarantee your death no matter what. Stupid.
The Gushing Wounds changes could be a buff in disguise if the + is added to the wrong/right spot: if it is added after the multiplier it is a huge nerf, but if it is added before it can easily be a 3-4x after optaining Grandfather couse the base Bleed amount is quiet low. Lets see where it will be added. math: (1000 bleed dmg + 3000 Crit DMG) x bleed mult x dmg mult (Strg, Close, Vurnable etc.) x 1,7 Bleed Crit > 1000 bleed dmg x bleed mult x dmg mult (Strg, Close, Vurnable etc.) x 1,4 Bleed Crit
Blizzard truly needs to understand that we don't need all meta builds to get nerfed, we need all the other options to get buffed to be at least viable. You can't have build variety if you are constantly nerfing man, you no longer feel strong if you are not using the meta
The game is way too easy, we do need meta builds to be nerfed and trash builds to be buffed so everything meets in the middle. Otherwise it’s just unrestrained power creep.
I'm fine with some nerfs, ie build x is leaps and bounds above anything else. But for the most part yeah I agree, underperforming builds, classes, ect need to be brought up. Continuously nerfing just further kills build diversity since everyone will be pigeon holed into one build to do anything. The opposite is also true though like in my first example, if x build is just doing so much better than anything else in the game, then of course everyone is just going to play that build. Saying that, no matter the balancing, there will always be a meta, there will always be some build that will perform the best. But generally at least in other arpgs, even through there may be some build that is stupidly strong, there are usually a lot of other builds that are not far behind it.
@@HoustonPlaysGames as much as I agree, Blizzard is hardly trying to take stuff to the middle ground, and putting difficulty not in new or harder mechanics, but just giving stuff gazillion health, and restraining the damage of any build that is not meta

Good looking changes overall. Barb needed to be deflated, other classes needed a leg up. We'll see what happens with the Uniques though, that might be interesting.
Personally I think the boss debuffs are terrible in general being incredibly difficult to avoid a lot of the times with no real good attack indicators basically the whole one shot mechanic in any game is never fun especially when they already have billions and millions of health and they need to fix tempering because more times than not you’ll see the same one or two affixes out of 3 or 4 affixes almost every single roll whic mathematically makes absolutely no sense.

I wish they would have just target nerfed what was causing the major issues with Barb instead of nerfing things that didnt need it. They needed brought in line but I question Blizzards methods. Also I will echo others comments that I wish they just would have given Druid/Sorc/Necro another item slot which would also help with build diversity. Especially with Druids we are SO aspect starved because we require a lot of aspects/umiques fof basic functionality.
I don't know if all these changes will bring balance to the game but it should be a lot closer. The changes they made make it look like there was a massive difference between the haves and have nots. It looks like there will still be certain builds that are good and ones that are bad. Hopefully all builds will at least be playable. It will be interesting to see what some people come up with. I'm sure there will be a few surprises.
The most cynical thing blizzard can due to nerf rogue and barb to the same base as the other three is to disable the weapon that isnt being used, ie if you are using frenzy or double swing..... you will have the stats of the duel wield weapons while the two hander weapon's stats, tempers, and aspects get disabled until you use a skill that uses it.... But of course blizzard wont do that..... And yet barb players are complaining about nerfs when they have more builds, weapons, and aspects than any other class Barbs been op for a few seasons Calm down
I don’t like the seasonal mechanic, I hate bricking items and the way the tempering system works, I don’t like the cooldown nerfs and the hard cap changes. They still haven’t addressed Druid or Sorc class balance problems, they NEED to add at 2 least more aspects slots. There are no buffs they can make to the class that will overcome the missing aspect slots they desperately need. All in all this season looks like a skip for me.
Tbf I swear I see people say this every season and then the first video of someone one shotting Uber Lilith or a tormented boss is always barb. Not saying ur wrong but there’s at least been two seasons we’ve gone into where every video has barb theory crafted as last and then we get to live and it’s hitting the craziest numbers off rip
Barbs needed to be brought back down to earth though. Or other classes needed substantial buffs to keep up. Barbs had so many good builds and other classes were just a joke in season 4
Good, that they finally trying to equal classes because let's be real... Gushing Wounds was the most broken PassiveKey in this whole game. Also good to see buffs for other classes. I would prefer to see more slots for Necro, Druid, and Sorc for more variety of possible builds but increased base damage is more than welcome. Are these buffs enough? I have my doubts. They didn't touch PassiveKeys for other classes like Sorc and these Passives just suck.
It seems like they feel these unique buffs will be significant and they are nerfing the barb to make up for the fact we have an extra item slot to take advantage of these strong uniques
Wow, not too sure what I make of this. I think they went overboard with gutting the barb. I think I will wait a week or two to get feedback before I jump in. I was more hoping on end game changes. Right now, I got every class (except Druid) in S4 stacked to the max, and there really is no more point in playing as there are no gains. I am hoping that there will be more end game to keep players active to season end, but I do not see it. Oh well, I will wait and see.
We’re 1 year+ into D4, and the devs are STILL tuning class skills instead of focusing on adding skills or interactions with gear special affixs. When will we be out of Beta
Nerfing walking arsenal just shows they have no idea what they are doing. This plus the pit boss stacks is enough for me to find another game. I understand changes need to be made, but holy shit. Rob can't even put a positive spin on this our boy was defeated. Clearly devs saw ppl having fun on barb and we're like nah none of that shit. Make your other classes enjoyable and then modify barb. Putting caps on the legendary nodes, sure, that's reasonable. Absolutely dumpstering all of our passives, tempers, and defense while buffing everyone is lazy. See you guys on another game.
''Goal to have 4 uniques for builds'' kinda feels like d3 where you needed 4 set parts for the build.. Hopefully those 4 uniques wont be mandatory for the build to work
Many good changes, some nerfs I'm still confused about but hopefully we still have fun builds on all classes. I didn't hear mention of Crown of Lucion and Locran's Talisman, wonder if those are staying at the level in the PTR or if they'll be nerfed as well
Rogues have TWO extra slots and barbs have FOUR extra slots. 2h weapons = double strength aspects, double stat rolls, double temp rolls = two extra slots. Rogues have 2h + 1h + 1h = 4 Barbs have 2h + 2h + 1h + 1h = 6
all of these changes are very welcome. barb was getting out of control, sorc needed a lot of help. Im sure the new uniques and aspect reworks are going to help with this as well. with some changes to monster HP and some focus on making the game difficult in other ways, this should make the game more challenging at the higher end without relying on quadrillion HP monsters.
Can the devs just add a dps calculator on the training dummy
yes please, it's so obnoxious trying to pick out the particular damage number I'm looking for I have to record myself doing an attack and watch the playback, sometimes still can't see it
torchlight infinite actually has a fantastic training dummy i'd be happy to see blizz rip off. It works in real time, showing your average dps as well as your highest 5 second window. Gives you an idea of your burst window and average dps very quickly.
I'm definitely with this. Apart from base and over power, all the others are pretty blended depending on the contrast.
Small indie company is blizz
@@jasonlucia6682 Probably one of the things I actually really like about TLI, It's super great for testing.
My mind is blown that they buffed the shit out of bone spirit again but threw crumbs to the rest of necros kit
very happy to see that they acknowledge the fact other classes are weaker than barb due to the lack of equipment slots. but a flat dps buff to compensate has to be the laziest way they could have tried to fix that problem.
Here is how I interpret the Gushing Wounds dmg calculation (assuming 4872.8% CHD):
LIVE: 100% + 1.4 x CHD % = 1 + (1.4 x 49.738) = 70.63 multi
(Edit: This is likely wrong) S5 Change: 1.7 + CHD % = 1.7 + 49.738 = 51.438 multi
Change = 51.438/70.63 = 71.41% of previous dmg, or a 28.59% dmg loss.
Live: 100% + 2,4(increase by140% not 40%) x CHD% = 1 + (2,4 x 49.738) = 119.371 multi (assuming 4973,8% CHD)
result in 56.9% dmg loss.....the rest is correct;)
@@Rob2628 Ah... I see. That is def a weird way of putting it in the description, but I guess that sorta makes sense since CHD normally doesn't work for bleeds, so now you are making it work for bleeds, but as an additive stat. I think you are likely correct though after further consideration.
So Gushing Wounds is still amazing. 20B - 30% or 50% is still billions.

@@zengokigyh Frenzy was an awesome build in D2 and D3. Im still waiting for it to be viable in D4. I hope this is the season!
In short:
1. Buff Unique (not season exclusive)
2. Remove Barb (possibly be season exclusive because it is an odd season)
3. Skip Season 5
IMO.

Any changes for the scrolls which used for upgrading Infernal Horde's key? They're very hard to find one.
They need to add something where if and or when we brick items we can recover them but of course at a great cost. As in so much so that it has to be the absolute item we need for said build to even fathom it type of deal.
Still think uniques including Ubers should get a separate tempering manual that can be used to raise the cap on select paragon glyphs.
LUL
Their game philosophy seems weird and my copium levels for season 5 are depleting.
I agree & gave this feedback right when I learned about it
Devs can't play their own game so what do you expect?
I liked how Rob mentioned soft caps in a previous video and would definitely agree that these hard caps limit build diversity. There’s gotta be a better way to combat power creep without compromising and gutting the builds that people are having fun with.

I don't think main stat scaling is enough. The disparity is also the difference of how many aspects each character can hold. Or the number of unique gear that can be integrated to their respective builds that sacrificing an aspect wouldn't be so detrimental. And I've been saying this everywhere, Ossified Essence for Necro should return to 1.0!!! >,..,<
Greater affix adds 1 more chance at rerolling temper ----> **unwanted affix rolls all 8 times on a 3GA** no difference!! it's like slapping duct tape on a crack on a dam

We heard you, necro is underpowered after all of the gutting nerfs we have given it over the last year. So we are giving it a minor lucky hit buff! - Smooth Brain Blizzard
The buff seems rather significant like I mentioned in the video. I am trying to all the info, but many skills got buffed!
@@Complication84are you okay? Lol
minor? its double on most of them, and some skills were buffed more than double and main stat increase, dmg will go up by a ton on most builds, and it'll scale a lot better with the lucky hit you get making it even stronger

How does the ultimate damage bonus from flickerstep interact with unstable currents on sorcerers?
No Lucky Hit Chance increases for sorc skills, could really increased the lucky hit chance of Hydras at least.
They can change the entire game, if they don't allow temper reroll reset like masterworking, that is hugely disappointing. We traded the loot RNG to never find items we really want to temper reroll RNG to break items we really want.
So you think for eternal realm all previously bricked items will get the temper boosts for GA?

Yea blizzard is completely unattached with it's community. Why make a game with fantasy and build variety if your not going to let the player base use it. Braindead

@@chaddrusso8850 and pvp wins the worst class atm.. pvp is no reason to play Diablo. But you want to hit high pits and fight the best tormented bosses to get the best loot. And the best ... No the almost only... way is to play a bleed barb.
@@animago81 what are you talking about have you looked at the max roll ladder? Heart seeker rouge, mekuna sorc build and Flay barbs are all at the top. Most decent builds can run pit 80’s and kill Uber bosses just because you play some home brew build that doesn’t work well shouldn’t mean the rest of us should suffer.
I think speed farming 101's will still be okay for WWDD but anything more would be miserable without insane gear but Rogue is looking to be the king spec now.
Yeah sure, but with 4 ubers lol
Did not see one thing that excited me. Seems like every other season is one step back then two steps forward.
When does this patch is going to be applied in game?
I enjoy Barb but this is the right move. Other classes feel too bad when u play them after u try Barb
then buff them , do not cut barb !!
@@belthazor9090 they had to. To one-shot Uber bosses was a stupid idea.
Let all classes do billions of damage per second? THen what? Oh... buff all bosses and NPCs.
The end result would be the same as if you would just nerf Barb.
Finally some common sense, I played two barbs and tbh shit was absurd.
@@belthazor9090 you guys should have an option on the tooltips to add how many 000 you guys want on your damage without fucking the game
Every time there is a barb on screen I just sigh and think “well I guess I’ll just watch” because I can’t keep up with them they kill everything instantly and it’s not fun to be around.
Your key passive gave you 60 times dmg and your temper gave you 500k life and you think that was fine? Buffing other classes to that level instead of nerfing is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
so they nerfed imposing presence from 6% per rank down to 5% per rank. now that the barbarian protection temper is REMOVED, can our passive at least get buffed back to 6% per rank? I want my 18% max hp for 3/3 ranks, instead of just 15%. especially since this is like classic blizzard style of double / over-nerfing things that only need ONE nerf, NOT TWO
It needed 5 nerfs tbh

What even happen to the item with "imposing presence"?
People farmed weeks for it or bought it for bilions.
Its a joke, instead of just nefing it, the items is unusable or gone? For real?
@@darkdraconis love stalkers! Can just say - fuck you :) I'm doing and saying what i want, who you are to stop me?
What a problem with nerfing the barbarian, instead of leaving him and boosting the rest, they do it the other way around.
In the end it won't be worth playing with him. 😡
Power creep
Mindcage come to eternal? Or stay as season only?
Two weapon slots are worth way more than 16% :D
Something like 50%, and they are also worth in survival since you roll life on weapons.
Is it easier to Nerf the Barb instead of Buffs to all the other classes? 25:54
Barb: And it's gone......
Something costing double fury is not a downside for the barb. It is an upside. You spend more so you buff yourself more, and you have infinite fury anyway.
The items slots don't just provide damage for Barbs. They also get health, other stats, and another legendary aspect! How do these changes help Sorcs and Druids in that area?
That's probably why all of the other nerfs to Barbs came, so that maybe with their extra aspects and tempers they'll end up at a similar level to the other classes
Fix tempering…or no thanks lol. Not even close to enough, just going to feel even worse bricking stuff with GA when you roll the same thing 8 times in a row.
Yeah its demoralizing, and just remembering tempering kinda kills my hype.
Ye just allow us to keep the last rolled affix. Feels bad to have some tempers in the bank but afraid to try for a higher %. Otherwise system is great.
@@HDPolarBear not sure I’d go with “great” as a description for the system, but to each their own. It feels horrible to roll the same thing over and over, maybe if they made it so you never got the same one twice so at least your odds were improved. It’s not like the other temper options are a small damage decrease, it’s either a huge damage increase or something completely useless for your build in most cases. I think there is too much power in tempering, I’d rather see them lower temper power and put more power in masterworking.
This is how I know they don’t play their own game lol, they just see RUclips clips and “oh that’s way to strong” every barb build got GUTTED and it’s gonna feel like shit
yea thats what happens when everyone complains about barb being too op, should have complaineda bout other classes being too weak instead
@@adamjohanssonn then you get D3 numbers ffs
Nerfs suck but barb was way too strong and their nerfs probably will still leave them stronger than other classes. Now they'll only be twice as good as every other class instead of 500 time as good.
Good
@@gl8862 yeah hopefully they nerf every single good spec/build to the ground for every class, then you can say good. while every spec/buil/class feels like dog shit, great logic you dummy
And just like that d4 bad meme is back on the menu.
Sucks ,s4 seemed to be a step in the right direction, this just shows the devs truly have 0 fucking clue what theyre doing.
To me, it’s two different leads that don’t align with their direction on Diablo. Odd team nerfs every time and cages the player while the even team says let’s make this fun
@@MrGlass- you're not wrong,I've always thought it odd that there's 2 teams,it means there will never be a cohesive vision,it will always be like this.
Are we getting another ptr? if yes will we be able to play the new class?
What yoy mean? Season5 ptr is over. No more ptr and character comes in season 6 not 5
Windforce isn't Windforce without the knockback. They missed the whole point of bringing back some of the legacy items.
Windforce sucks compared whit D2
The knockback effect actually makes windforce not work well with barrage so it's a good change in this regard
Except knockbacks are effect we dont want. You want packed ennemies, not spread out. It’s a good change
They should rename the bow to something else that works well with Barrage. The point is that Knockback was the best feature of the Legacy Windforce bow. They should find a skill or stats that compliments compliment the knockback and call that bow "Windforce".
Sometimes you have to sacrifice flavor for usability.
I'll still play the season, but once im done with everything, I'll be back on D2. Finally got to build Enigma for the first time ever.
them adding stacks to the pit bosses is a big negative thing for me
Bash temper remain moltiplicative?
Good looking changes overall. Barb needed to be deflated, other classes needed a leg up. We'll see what happens with the Uniques though, that might be interesting.
I was expecting nerfs to key passives but not to walking arsenal and I reaaally wanted to try it next season. Welp bleed barb here we go again EZ
And we still need to create 2nd character (rouge) to get critical damage in s5?
They gave every class crit damage tempers for s5.
Sorc buffs are very good for example frozen orb gets so much better with the frozen orb amulet buff. With all the changes around 2.5-3x more damage
Rob can you make a video demonstrating how much in Dots/max damage will the next season have compare to now??. Blizzard Give Druid 15% buff but the. thunderstruck is capped and caps on other nodes. Shepards 180%x is also gone. Thank you for passing our feedback 🙏
All builds are playable and can beat all content basically. High pit pushing is where things differ
Because even barbs lacking abilities far outperform other classes strongest
@@kevinsims5791not true

The most cynical thing blizzard can due to nerf rogue and barb to the same base as the other three is to disable the weapon that isnt being used, ie if you are using frenzy or double swing..... you will have the stats of the duel wield weapons while the two hander weapon's stats, tempers, and aspects get disabled until you use a skill that uses it....
But of course blizzard wont do that.....
And yet barb players are complaining about nerfs when they have more builds, weapons, and aspects than any other class
Barbs been op for a few seasons
Calm down
Even if they say they're nerfing barb you know they'll leave huge lanes to protect their favorite class, lol. May just need to find them.
The nerfs to Barb are unacceptable. Way too heavy handed (no pun intended). Sounds like season of the Bone Spirit Necro to me.
Or season of the rogue.
Much needed nerfs!! Gushing wounds was already ridiculous. You cant even make the argument to bring classes to that level of damage.
Barbs need to go down even further this wasn't enough
playing one but I don't mind if they keep nerfing barb, feels like 75% of d4 population
Rob, I feel the pain in your voice even though you tried very hard to hide it. The Barb nerf is insane.
I don't understand why they nerf Barb .No one want that happen we just need our beloved class become as strong as Barb.
Can someone link the wallpapers Rob is using for the background?

@@Rob2628 Thanx!
Barb should be nerfed harder
Those boss debuff stacks are horrendous. Hopefully they at least dial things back even on tormented bosses.
''Goal to have 4 uniques for builds'' kinda feels like d3 where you needed 4 set parts for the build.. Hopefully those 4 uniques wont be mandatory for the build to work
I moved on to TFD for now until i see how bad the season is.
Those devs were asked about OP builds and they said "try harder" 😂
Many good changes, some nerfs I'm still confused about but hopefully we still have fun builds on all classes. I didn't hear mention of Crown of Lucion and Locran's Talisman, wonder if those are staying at the level in the PTR or if they'll be nerfed as well
Bone spirit dominating the pit but barbs get nerfed into the ground.
Rogues have TWO extra slots and barbs have FOUR extra slots. 2h weapons = double strength aspects, double stat rolls, double temp rolls = two extra slots.
Rogues have 2h + 1h + 1h = 4
Barbs have 2h + 2h + 1h + 1h = 6
Exactly…,and blizzard thinks 16% damage buff from stats at endgame compensates for that…god these devs are clueless
Will shard unique offset bash nerfs?
all of these changes are very welcome. barb was getting out of control, sorc needed a lot of help. Im sure the new uniques and aspect reworks are going to help with this as well. with some changes to monster HP and some focus on making the game difficult in other ways, this should make the game more challenging at the higher end without relying on quadrillion HP monsters.
