To me a lot of these older songs feel more like they were written and recorded by "a bunch of guys playing their instruments together", rather than "a song made by a producer in a studio". It's not necessarily a good or a bad thing, but I do feel like as bands get bigger it becomes harder to hear the identity / personality of each of the members in the recorded songs.
True. I think it's probably because it's to "give what the fans/public want" so that they become even more famous? I don't know. But you do have a point there.
One ok rock actually said they're doing it to "attract the western audience"... I mean, it's certainly working, but I agree they're also losing their unique sound drastically.
Anrei Hope, only hope on that promise. A comeback to their true style would be an awesome success and for sure they will hit in America, like certain song said once in the past. Keep It Real
Aika Sumeragi Maybe the song Unfinished Symphony, from their Niche Syndrome album. And another song in my opinion that's similar to Karasu is Adult Suit. I'm talking about the overall feeling these songs make me have, not the rhythm or lyrics.
Dreamer, kanzen kankaku dreamer, Riot,Dreamer,No Scared,Liar,Wherever you are,Re:Make,Yes i am, Mikansei Koukyoukyoku, And many more! just get their whole album! lol.
there might not be any webtoon readers here, but anyway, the lyrics remind me of john from an amazing webcomic called unordinary (he was treated super badly by others, so he wreaked havoc on everyone (twice) and when he realized what he had done, it was too late. a lot of the story revolves around how much resentment and trauma he had and how he moved on to become a better person. also his color in the story is black.)
@@yazyaz2969 no way, unordinary is like my fav webtoon ever! i haven't been able to read the last episodes because it would pain me if i read them on impulse and then had to wait until 2025 for more lmaooo. also i just learned that karasu means crow, and john exemplifies all the personalities and symbols associated with the crow :))
@@mehlanie13 It's in hiatus rn. The song really fits john with how its feather change to white and in the end it doesn't know how it'll turn out, either it'll be black or white like how we still don't know how will be john at the end of the story.
It’s not from the album, it’s either EP (extended plays) or soundtrack from CROWS ZERO (Japanese film). Also, this might be the debut song from ONE OK ROCK.
Wow what a hugeee difference. Taka's voice in Live is like hundred times more beautiful & impactful than recorded version where they sabotage his voice lol
I don't know why always found this song in particular creepy. It always gave me a bad vibe. Despite the how I feel about it I enjoy this song very much in a weird way
Same here. though I’ve tried listening to their new stuff and I just can’t do it, literally had to force myself to listen thru the entire album. I guess one or two song is ok, other then that it’s not my cup of tea. Hoping they would go back to their roots on their next album. Btw I’m a loyal fan. Been around since the release of their second album.

It's hard to say. I love the guys and I wish them all the success in the world - so I guess I'm happy that they're doing what they want to do.

I mean, it's certainly working, but I agree they're also losing their unique sound drastically.
Oh, also, they said they'll slip back into their old style once they've attracted the western audience. Fingers crossed they'll stick to that

Love old and new ONE OK ROCK. But damn, their old stuff was a lot more complex and interesting. Especially their lyricism, ngl.
How come this song never made into any of the albums? It's good.
it is a single, it is not available on apple music for whatever reason.
@@azurefoxbh9280 Could still buy as a single on iTunes store for $1

Woww... This is actually a dark song than i think.. Did someone do dirty to them or what?.. But still love it
I came here because my ears can't stand their new style ._.
Same I was a huge fan with their first music until they changed their style which seems kinda generic :/ I just come back to the old ones..
I think you will understand these new styles one day.
