Interesting fact to know, when Enzo Ferrari died in 1988, 4 things were on his desk: a phone, a diary, a calendar.. and a photo of the piccolo Canadese.
"My past is scarred with grief, father, mother, brother, sister, wife ...my life is full of sad memories. I look back and I see my loved ones and among my loved ones I see the face of this great man: Gilles Villeneuve,'' he had said few years earlier.

He wanted to compete in every motosport with an unquenchable thirst for victory and his vision and genius are unparalleled. A spirit he shared with Ayrton Senna and that's one the reasons why they were so successful and why Honda is one of the most legendary name in motorsports together with Ford, Alfa Romeo, Porsche and Ferrari..

Despite the backing this channel pretty much never has captions unfortunately. An approx transcript of the first bit if that helps:
0:02-0:24 *Tom Clarkson:* They’re the most storied team in Formula 1 history. The one that's been around the longest. The one with the most wins and the most championships. The one that generates the most headlines and *definitely* the one with the most mystique. But what’s it like to drive for the biggest F1 team in the world, Scuderia Ferrari?
      0:26-0:30 * :* In Italy you're driving for a country, you're not driving for a team.
0:31-0:41 * :* To be once in your life a Ferrari driver, it's a very special feeling. You are the one being choiced to deliver the happiness and the [?trophy/driving?].
0:42-1:00 *Mario Andretti:* It's a cliche to say that every driver's dream is to be a Ferrari driver at one time or another. Well mine was, the original dream, I don't think my career-I could call my career complete if I didn't have that opportunity quite honestly.
1:01-2:09 *Tom Clarkson:* I'm Tom Clarkson and on this, the first of two very special episodes of Beyond The Grid to celebrate Ferrari's 1000th Grand Prix, I'll be finding out the answer by chatting to the men who drove for the famous Prancing Horse. On this week's show I'll speak to four drivers who drove for the Maranello team under its iconic founder Enzo Ferrari. We'll find out what makes Ferrari so special. The unique pressures of driving for the team in red. The incredible lust for victory, the famous internal politics and what it was like to have Enzo Ferrari as a boss. So get ready for plenty of fabulous anecdotes from Mario Andretti, Jody Scheckter and Gerhard Berger, but we'll start with Tony Brooks. The rapid Englishman who drove for Ferrari in their first decade in the sport, the 1950s. His previous team Vanwall had pulled out of Formula One and no other British team had a seat available. Then Tony got a phone call from Ferrari and set off to Maranello with his Italian wife Pina in tow.
2:11-3:56 *Tony Brooks:* I had a call from Tavoni, Romolo Tavoni, the team manager of Ferrari saying, you know, what would I think about driving for Ferrari. I sort of, well wasn't playing hard to get, but I said 'well, you know, I'd like to consider that' and-I think-I was invited to go to Italy, and I met Enzo Ferrari in his grand office and, uh, had a very constructive discussion with him, for about half an hour, that was all. And, [I'm] sitting on one side of a formal desk and Pina actually happened to be with me because I did need her help to communicate. We had this very congenial meeting and we discussed the terms and everything, and uh he said, 'Oh, by the way I don't appoint number one drivers until they are participating in the team and we see who's doing what in the season at the time.' In a, performing in a particular season. So I wasn't asking for the number one driver anyway, but ah he just made it clear that's how he worked, you know. You had to earn it. I did finish up with the number one drive but it was on the basis of results and not being appointed from the start. It had certain glamour about [???…???] a great reward, uh, if you'd like, that I'd betrayed the British side for the benefit of Ferrari.
3:57-4:13 *Tom Clarkson:* From one driver who had never considered driving for Ferrari to another who had always dreamt of racing for the Prancing Horse. Mario Andretti grew up in Italy and as a child watched his hero Alberto Ascari win for Ferrari at Monza.
4:16-8:14 *Mario Andretti:* It's because of Ferrari that, ahm, I was infected by the racing bug. At a very early age, of course still living in Italy, you know, I would suspect that my brother Aldo and I became enamored with the sport probably at age ten or eleven, early '50s, because, ah, Formula One being so prominent in Italy, ahm, obviously through Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo. And then, ahm, my absolute idol, first idol, became Alberto Ascari, and, you know it's a cliche to say that every driver's dream is to be a Ferrari driver at one time or another in their career. Well mine was, the original dream. As impossible as it might seem at the time, which it was, but um something that I'd never given up. As fate would have it as my career went on, obviously my biggest inspiration-and a lot of people don't really know this-as a driver, racing driver, I wanted to be a Formula One driver first and foremost, our fate brought us in a different direction at the beginning but, ahm, I never ever gave up on that idea. I'll never forget my first real experience meeting Mr. Ferrari. I had driven-my first long distance race was with one of-Ferrari North America, you know for [?Ginetti?] at the (1966?) 24 Hours of Daytona, ah, teamed up with Pedro Rodríguez, but ah my first factory Ferrari experience and my meeting Mr. Ferrari was in '69 at Monza for the 1000 Km, and again, you know, it the only race that [?] would go to in those days, Chris Amon was my teammate and of course I wanted to impress as you can imagine. Chris Amon was very quick and obviously I wanted to be the quick one on the team because, well mostly I usually qualified-nevertheless I'm going out there and somehow in the chicane, just before going up on the high banks, that's ah-you know it goes right-I kinda stuffed it. Didn't really do any damage other than, just some body damage in the front but I come in with the car all askew and I figure this is the end of my career in Ferrari. You know, every thought, terrible thought went through my mind as I came into the pits, and Mr. Ferrari was there with this, he had his hand(s?) right on his chest in this ah -heh- and he had a smile on his face. I couldn't believe it. An' this tells you just he knew that I was trying 100% and he would never fault a driver that-he was a true racer. He knew that I was just trying would never fault a driver that would just try. That's why he was so involved with Gilles Villeneuve for instance with how many cars that he went through, just that he was 110% always. That's the beauty about this man, you know, he was, ahm, the experiences I've had throughout the, you know, the decades, you know, I had the opportunity and contact with him, every moment was so precious and, ahm, Colin Chapman gave me my first go at Formula One but as fate would have it I won my first Formula One race with Ferrari.
8:15-8:26 *Tom Clarkson:* That South African Grand Prix in '71. How did that opportunity come about? And then just tell me a little bit about the race and what Enzo said to you after.
8:27-9:49 *Mario Andretti:* Well, ahm, first of all I had driven for Ferrari, you know, a few races in long distance at that point, and of course I was trying to still do some Formula One because I felt that ultimately I wanted to devote my, you know, a part of my career to Formula One, so, I was doing it basically part time. At that point Lotus actually in some of the races they hired Emerson Fittipaldi in my place. So Ferrari had a relationship with sport cars and I expressed the desire to do some Formula One races and he said 'right' and I said whenever you [???…???] drive a car for you. And that's what it was. So, again, it just turned out to be a great situation and to win that and the caveat on that on was, you know, the likes of Jackie Stewart [???] I was leading the race, you know, late in the race when he dropped out, and so that I was controlling that race but, then, nevertheless I was up front, took advantage of that,

I bet Enzo sBins in his grave every race weekend.
Ferrari has certainly lost it by appointing a clown as Manager.

These scumbags have a long history of screwing drivers over. What they did to Seb, they have done to many others. No amount of nostalgia and romanticism excuses how they have treated people.
