I had a 156 2.5 V6 for about 11 years and loved it. Replaced it with a GT 3.2 V6 which was fun as well. It's a shame Alfa have stopped making affordable, sporty cars like these.
The one to blame is not alfa but fiat
On the other hand, 156 with 2.5 V6 can be had for pennies these days..
Giulietta 1750 Tbi 240hp is super fun and affordable, buy this is your last year to buy one.

I had Alfa Romeo 155 V6 and It was very good car. I never forget of him.
He finds ways of moving the shifter you never knew existed, and tries them all out in one lap.

One cannot command such a vehicle, one can merely ask for cooperation and hope that she will comply today..
I have the mere 1.8 and it has this amazing responsiveness in 5th gear at higher speeds....... It's as much a tap to prepare the lady as an acknowledgement to the 'Stephen King's Christine' type spirit that possesses you when you get in it and go...... And this driver has some bottle as well as faith in the old girl....
Dude is using that understeer to get him at up for the next corner. Total commitment every where on that lap. If this is without the quafe upgrade then there may be hope for that corner push.

Just bought my first Alfa ,147 TI ,my dream is to drive a 147 or 156 gta version , hopefully I will do it in the next few years ,this engine is amazing ,a true masterpiece.

The 156 V6 is pretty neutral when it is pushed to the limits. The Alfa engineers did a very good job!

The good thing about these type of cars is that since they are FWD, they are very forgiving with how much throttle you give it when turning, even if you floor it, it will just understeer and not spin out.

I've taken a 3.0 V6 24V Busso out of an '99 Alfa 166 automatic and built it in my '98 Alfa 156 instead the 2.5 V6 24V Busso and combinated it with the shorter 6-speed 2.5 gearbox...
I've done this work in 2008...and the result was/IS an beast of an Busso powered Alfa Romeo 156!
Even also because i've modifed this 156 with a KW Thread-suspension and also with 8.5& 10J 18" rims... The 10j rims at the rearend with an offset of 0! The 156 is in the deep black Nero 601 and RED Momo leather inside. It's so wide with that 10J, 0 Offset stance, soo wide and also deep.. 225/40 & 245/35 ZR18 tires... It's so elegant like a Mafia Boss Limousine, combinated with that wheels and only a deep front Spoiler at the stock bumpers. And so it's not only elegant, der it's also soo evil looking too.
But the most amazing thing is that PERFORMANCE! The combination of an only 1350kg Alfa 156 from 1st Generation (98) with the shorter 6-speed gearbox of the 2.5 Busso...and this Euro 2 226hp 3.0 Busso uses also headers without cat's out of stock. It's also a lot more faster than every 3.2 GTA!

People that dont understand a 156GTA or a 4C have never driven them for sure, although the sound(especially the Busso in the GTA) and sight of both cars should already given them a hint.

you are a great driver. But you should know that at the nurburgring with touristenfahrten there are other slower cars on the track who drive casually. You should not push cars aside because they don't move out of the way fast enough, you should drive behind them signalling that you want t overtake, when they move to the right side, then you can overtake them safely. Other then that great driving.

Slower drivers should know that at the nurburgring with touristenfahrten there are other faster drivers who can actually drive, and are enjoying themselves .
Slower cars should just stay on public roads.
They drive slow every day, and then when a man wants to get away from them by going, oh, i dont know...to a freakin track which is ment for people to drive fast on - here they are again, screwing things up for everyone !!!
