I made one of these blankets as a gift a few years ago and it turned out great! I enjoyed making it too! I love how you used three colors. I am going to try to make one tricolored as well! Thanks for the great instructions! Always love your ideas!
I love that it looks so simple when you’re doing it! I’m a bit new to this and you were going too quickly for me. I slowed playback speed down but those hands were still quick for me; I want to see it step by step. I’m going to look for another channel to teach me and maybe I’ll come back when I get a little more comfortable. Thank you!
Love your knitting blanket, and you haved inspired me to pick up my knitting again for Christmas. It has been about 2 years since I last pick it up! Thank you, L.
I buy a lot of yarn from Michael’s and I NEVER buy it at full price. If you happen to be a senior, teacher, or military you can use those discounts (10 or 15%) on top of the on sale price. You have to ask for it though, and may have to show ID.
I made this blanket for my father (as a gift). It took me 4 and half hour to complete the blanket (I took breaks too) . My mom helped me so i finished it up quickly. It turned out great! It so fluffy soft and cozy. I made it in light grey colour! Your tutorial is soo well explained! ✨
Thank you for really simple, user-friendly instructions!! I watched your video twice, read the written instructions, then gave it a whirl. I did it in one colour… Turned out beautifully!!
I can not knit to save my life, but I'm going to give this a try. Your video is perfect, so I should do ok. A chunky pillow would be nice to see as a video. Thank you for this great idea.
Thanks so much for this beautiful blanket video. I love your color combination. I will definitely be making this. It is perfect for the upcoming winter season.
I made one in a solid color with another video from this channel - would love to make one like this too, Also, I’d love a video about how to make a pillow with this method.

At the end, if the ends are just woven back through how do you keep them from falling out when you wash the blanket? How do you wash them? My daughter is making a couple for her older brothers and I want to make sure if doesn't fall apart.

I have done arm knitting with this yarn and liked it, but it was much looser than this. Thanks! I can’t wait to try it. Also, do you know where your glasses are from? I really like them.
I SAW SOMEONE USING A LIGHTER TO HEAT UP EACH END OF THE YARN WHEN ADDING A NEW COLOR... MAYBE THAT IS JUST WITH CERTAIN TYPES OF YARN... IT STUCK TOGETHER AND HAD NO LOOP NEEDED. ANY POINTERS ON THAT OR INFO.?
I have had the hardest time with my ends being so loose on this one. The middle came apart had to redo three times. I don’t know what I was doing wrong.
Hobby Lobby has a better deal. 7.99 regular price and I get them on sale for 30% off which brings it down to only $5.50ish each! I got all 6 for around 30 bucks and the quality rivals Michaels big yarn.
So my blanket it 60 long and I’m using way more yarn and I’m using the needles that connects and it’s taking way longer then a few hours. Is it because I’m using needles?
Semi helpful, but hands blocking important parts of the loop. Makes it harder to follow. After getting the hang of it, it’s quite easy. Just understanding the angle and the important part of the loops and knots is a little hard because of the pace and the hands 😂 otherwise wonderful.
Thanks for watching! I also have a written tutorial on my blog with photos: thediymommy.com/how-to-knit-a-chunky-blanket-for-beginners-no-needles-required/
I have never watched a worse tutorial. Even at 50% speed, and pausing for example at 2:21, what you’re showing and saying don’t match up (or if they do, your explanation really lacked). Off to a different tutorial.
My daughter has made several of these and loves how fast and easy they are. This was a great how-to demo, thank you!😊👍

Would love to see the pillow video as thats more my speed financially and timewise. The blanket is beautiful and you did a great job explaining it!

A chunky pillow would be nice to see as a video. Thank you for this great idea.
Beautiful job! You can also use this idea with simple crochet stitches.
Christmas blankets would be nice too!
This is really neat. I love chunky blankets, too. Thanks.🎉
Thank you! 😊
That blanket looks so cozy
Love, love, love this!! always used needles. About to make my first finger blanket, so looking forward, your demo is great and am so excited! TU

I made one in a solid color with another video from this channel - would love to make one like this too, Also, I’d love a video about how to make a pillow with this method.
Perfect timing; thanks.
I love these colors
Beautiful! I’m going to try to make this!!!! Can you show us how to make a stocking using this technique?
Beautiful blanket, what colors you recommend on a light grey sofas?
I can’t wait to try it!
Absolutely beautiful blanket looked so easy. Thank you.
Beautiful thank you for the details
I’ve been making these the last couple of months I love them please post a tutorial when you do the hat I tried it and couldn’t figure it out
Love this type of video! Thank you! ❤
I'm so glad!
Very good video. Luv your blanket. Thinking giving it a try.
Beautiful! Nice instructions 😊
This is so great! Thank you
You have inspired me!!! ❤
This is beautiful!
How do you clean the blanket? Handwash?
I would hate to ruin it, lol. ❤
Probably handwash in a big tub.
You can wash on delicate cycle
Great video!! Thank you!!
I’m considering making this for my 2 year anniversary for my husband. Do you have information about washing it?
Probably depends on wool type. Some Acrylic wool could handle washing but not tumble drying. 😊
So pretty.
Thank you! 😊
Wonderful!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊
What are the actual colours called that you used? Thanks!!
These kinds of tutorials are the bane of my existence. Is it so hard to go slow and show us what you’re doing.

I admire how well handle rude people. @thediymommy
Couldn’t possibly agree more.
Rude. Slow it down if you cannot cope.
I thought it was straight to the point and made a beautiful blanket!
Just over a minute into this video and I am craving a pumpkin spice latte, lol. 🙃
Hahahaha 👌 Love it!
my parents are wondering why im sitting at my kitchen table with a ball of yarn crying
Do you have a tutorial for washing them?
If I wanted to connect each side to make a sock like or a sleeping bag like thing say - how would I close it off? Is it possible in this stitch?
At the end, if the ends are just woven back through how do you keep them from falling out when you wash the blanket? How do you wash them? My daughter is making a couple for her older brothers and I want to make sure if doesn't fall apart.
I use the handwash setting on my machine and lay flat to dry and they seem to hold up well!
I agree you where doing thing fast that I could barley make it through half way without getting frustrated.

I think I like this better than arm knitting now! Here are my glasses: liketk.it/4kxps
Thank you so much! And these are such a reasonable price.
can you tell me what is the best wool/ yarn? to make a chunky blanket
How do you wash these?
Very nice
How do you make the edges so even. Mine don't look consistent.
You can do that too! I’m currently making a blanket with this type of yarn and use the lighter to attach them!
How many rows per color did you end up with?
I have had the hardest time with my ends being so loose on this one. The middle came apart had to redo three times. I don’t know what I was doing wrong.
I use hair clips to stop it from unravelling as the same thing was happening to me as well

How many skins for a queen size bed?
How many balls of that yarn would i need for a blanket abut the size of yours please? Thank you
I used 6.
@@thediymommy thank you
You can see how many in the beginning lol
Where did she get those bernat blanket yarn from which store. How much did she have.
I used 6 skeins from Michaels
@@thediymommy which country.
I can’t find the written instructions. Where is the description?
So my blanket it 60 long and I’m using way more yarn and I’m using the needles that connects and it’s taking way longer then a few hours. Is it because I’m using needles?
Yes, the needles you're using are probably making smaller loops which would require more time and yarn.
How much gram is one ball of yarn
❤❤❤
❤
I have tried to make this blanket four times and have messed it up

You can actually burn the ends and stick em together instead of tying them
I've tried that, but it didn't work for me. 😞
Holy cow! That is one expensive throw
