@@OriginalWrestlingDocumentaries Many thanks for all the outstanding documentaries / short stories on some of my fave wrestlers like the late Bad Neas Allen / Brown & Mike Alfonso / Awesome🙂👍 R.I.P. to them both😇
“All you beer bellied sharecroppers!”
Spineless cockroaches
Pleasant surprise with this one. Bad News was the first heel I ever rooted for, just because he was such a badass.
I consider myself lucky to have been able to see Stampede Wrestling live and in person in the 70’s and 80’s and not only see some of the toughest wrestling ever but also a boatload of incredible talent !! 👍🏻👌
He was definitely the original Stone Cold. Dude didn’t give a shit and I don’t think he ever befriended anyone.
@@du6165 also the original ultimate warrior in stampede
He was one of those wrestlers that I knew was REAL and I believed EVERYTHING he said. He was a heel but I still found myself rooting for him because he was just such a legit badass.
Andre wanted no smoke w/him too...Smh
Yip,he was a badass,but he owned it,💯loved that.
He was such an underrated performer.
@WALK IN MY SHADOW he was a legitimate badass.
@@lardy70s And so was New Jack...Both them brothas was nothing to play with inside & outside the ring...They should do a feature film on them
He was pretty boring and over rated
@@Cazz8203 he would've easily in his prime LEGITIMATELY kicked anyone's ass on his roster (especially SCSA biting ass)plus today's roster, as well...ALL FACTS!
He absolutely was underrated, Mr. Torres👌 In my opinion anyway, Bad News Allen was. R.I.P. Allen Coage😇
The Ghetto Blaster was my favorite move when I was a kid. I never saw Bad News as a bad guy for some reason.
I remember when he went on the Arsenio Hall show too back in the day
Seems like Bad News Brown was the real deal even Andre the Giant didn't want no heat with him lol
Just some addition info on Allan Coage: he won the Amateur Athletic Union judo championship (heavyweight class) in 1966, 1968, 1969, 1970 and 1975, as well as winning the open division in 1970. He also competed in the Pan American Games, winning gold medals in the heavyweight class in 1967 and 1975.
He’s also in Black Belt Magazine Hall of Fame.
WOW never knew
Bodyguard Aretha💯
My arts
Shotokan
Tai Chi
Wow,he was dominating at an early age,on racked up some wicked titles year after year was very impressive.
Thank you 🙏🏾
One of the hardest wrestlers for sure
Bad News Brown was so underrated. He was definitely ahead of his time.
Stone Cold, BPP, and Lashley all rolled into one.😉
@WALK IN MY SHADOW But still far better than Hogan, Lugar, Batsista, etc.😉🙈🙉🙊
@@douglaspaterson5269 Big poppa pump? Nah
@@dsword456 Referring to attitude not body.😉🙈🙉🙊
@@douglaspaterson5269 gotcha
Yup, he was a bad ass and people loved his persona even tho he was a true heel. Stone Cold before Stone Cold
True like a black stone cold Steve Austin he was badass in the 80’s he was on Arsenal hall his match with Big Boss man Jake the Roberts Bret hart Hulk hogan Rowdy piper
Actually David Shultz was the stone Steve Austin of the 80’s
I don’t see that😬
Bad News (in his prime) vs. Kurt Angle (in his prime).
Now THAT is a dream match.
Bad News would beat his ass!
He was brutally underrated. 😊
Criminally underrated.
He should've been a champion, intercontinental or world title.
No he wasn't underrated
More like criminally underrated, Coach😕
There sure was plenty of other wrestlers doing exactly what Bad News was doing,Rick Rude, Million dollar man,kokobware,Honky-tonk man, etc, etc
I loved watching Bad News Brown as a kid. He was one of those wrestlers that really scared the shit out of me, he was so believable. I remember both those Survivor Series matches when he quit on his teams, his teammates would go to make the tag and he would turn around and walk away. The announcers said he was a loner and had no friends. He was a damn good heel and had one of the dopest finishers, the Ghetto Blaster.
Yup 😊
All you beerbelly sharecroppers he reckons,😂😂😂
I saw a Harlem street fight live and in person between Bad News and Macho Man back in the day. Always liked Allen's presentation and pro wrestling style and being a former judoka myself respect sensei Allen's accomplishments. RIP.
He was the real deal a legit shooter, Rhonda followed his career, and he was 10x tougher than Steve Austin ever will be!!
Imagine if Rowdy won the belt from Hogan and later lost it to Bad News. The attitude era would’ve came early.
That's the thing, though. Hogan would have never given up the belt and Piper would never agree to let Hogan beat him in the middle. That's why despite their history, they've had few 1 on 1 matches.
They should have given him a title run. his promos were top notch. "you beer bellied share croppers!"
"Don't Let the Hood Beat You Up and Take Your Money"
Thanks for this! I was a fan of Bad News Brown during his WWF time.
Thanks for watching!
I loved seeing Bad News Brown in the WWF. It was the first time I ever saw him in the ring and he was a legit badass. I wanted him to win the title, but it never happened. Then he was gone and I never saw him on TV again as a child. Only years later was I able to see his other matches in Stampede, NJPW, and other places. But when I heard of his passing online, it broke my heart.
I always liked his work.
he was a standout back then, always enjoyed his matches
He would've drawn so much heat in MID-SOUTH & CROCKETT back in the 80's.
It would’ve been like New Jack and the Gangsta’s 10 years earlier. Black wrestlers to that point had been mostly good guys and not talk about race issues.
Thanks man. I needed this. All you beer belly sharecoppers better listen up.
So many of the heels of the 80s and 90s are actually fantastic human beings
In my opinion, I think that Bad News Brown would’ve been a great WWF/E Champion.
Vince neva gave him a chance 🤷🏿♂️
Bad News Brown drew lots of heat!
I seen him when I interviewed him in the 1976 Olympics after winning the bronze medal
Thanks for this one on Bad News Allen
Damn fine video man! About time Bad News Alan got some real serious respect. As much as I love Archie Gouldie the stamper it was bad news on and it was the greatest heal up Stampede Wrestling!
Jesus the stamper...what a scary fuckin handle
I Admired His Heel Run In The WWF But Was Sadly Short ... S.I.P Bro 👊🏾✊🏾
Thanks for making this video Bad news Allen is my 1 no. favorite wrestler.
There was never enough BNB
I always wanted to see more from him
He was the most unique character on the roster and arguably most gifted
REST IN PEACE BAD NEWS BROWN 🙏
this was a good documentary y'all should do a documentary on Butch Reed
I met him when I was a boy such a nice man
Thank you for posting this
I remember him for the first time wrestling for Championship Wrestling from Florida, which was an NWA affiliate... He was a solid heel
A true American hero
What an accomplished man. Lived a hell of a life for sure
Thank you for posting this; Bad News was a great talent and a great guy..
Nicely done. Always liked Bad News. Only saw him once, when he had a program with Jake the Snake. His comedic style was underrated as well
Bad News Brown was one of the best heels, he was always entertaining!
I hated the guy when I was younger. Then forgot about him for years until I saw his interviews. Seemed like an awesome man
My dream match would've been him vs Goldberg in both their prime...EPIC!
@@dsword456That would of been a good match - unless Bad News decided to shoot on him.
Rest in ☮️ Bad News Allen.
I like this channel. Endless material to do in your format.
I hated him as a kid. Now I am quite fond of him.
I enjoyed this.
I been telling people that for years stone cold stole bad news brown whole gimmick from his ring attire, bald head, attitude being a loner, taking no crap and feuding with authority jack tunney first ...vince took the angle to a new level bcuz the idea was already there but bad news brown whole gimmick is all over steve austin .. difference between two is they didn't let bad news brown say profanity like they let steve austin did
exellent observation. great parallel between the tunny, and McMahon feud.
Yep Yep...And taking his Ultimate Warrior catchphrase too...Vince mad foul(Bet he never paid him a dime for that)...Smh
And Bad News wasn't white
I can see your point. But Bad News Brown honestly wouldn’t been over like Stone Cold or New Jack for that matter. I believe the fans would’ve booed that man like they boo the tribal chief or even DOM DOM. But I digress 😊
Bad News Allen also worked in the UWA(Mexico) and GWF (shown on ESPN). In Championship Wrestling from Florida he held three titles simultaneously (defeating Lex Luger for one.).
The Andre story was also recounted in Brett Hart's book as well. Also check Bad News' shoot interview which is also on RUclips.
he wasn't exactly a fan of Bret or Owen.
Great vid man....One of the most underrated wrestling of any race
I just can't imagine anybody calling this man the N word.
I would of never guessed that Bad News and Harley Race were the same age!
Thanks for giving Bad News Allen (Brown) some love. I got to see him wrestle once at an NHB wrestling event in Thunder Bay ON Canada and while he was limited in the ring, it was still an honor to see him.
Fantastic job.
Wow! Growing up watching him; he use to scare the crap out of me….I never knew he was so kind hearted. Miss you Bad News!
He was tough
Bad News Allen did quite well crossing from one sport to another sport. Im happy he was able to get out the hood & achieve his dream.
Bad News Brown should have won the WWF Champion
I've always been a fan of heel wrestlers and Allen was easily in m y top 6. Like everyone else has said, legit badass!
Great video upload enjoyed watching it very interesting 👍
Also bad news Allen was part of UWF in Japan
One of the best. Thank you for this. So few docs on Bad News Brown.
Fantastic work
More than a pro-wrestler, he was a true warrior. RIP Bad News Brown
Great video. First time watching this channel and impressed by the information and editing. Subscribed.
Was i wrong for cheering 4 Bad News when he fought Hogan back in the day he acted like the older guys in my family so i loved Bad News great video bro
Nope I cheered for him too.. Thx bro
Hogan is pathetic, you done good.
@@Hoonozit yes he is!
You had taste at a young age!!
He also had a good run in CWF
A legit badass......
Gday luv
Never knew he passed.
What a legend
Wow
Very impressive
I liked his personna tough as nails
RIP loved the fact no silly gimmick
Thank you
'He was a blue print for steve Austin'? I have never, ever, ever heard that before lol.
well you could make the case that Dr D was (guy who slapped a news reporter for calling wrestling fake).
Great documentary! I was legit scared of Bad News Brown as a fan of Professional wrestling. RIP Allen Coage Bad News Allen
I didn't know he worked for Vince Sr in the late 70s.
H e was one of my favorite bad guys in stampede wrestling along with mukhan singh and kerry brown and steve di salvo. I miss stampede wrestling on saturday afternoon
Great content
Thanks!
Thanks for this piece on Bad News!
Thank You For The Upload
best wrestling channel . no bs. tells the stories of the old territories and the legends. not covering the new so called era of wrestling of today. 👍
I had no idea he was born in 1943... I thought he was in the neighborhood of Flair (1949). I also did not know how popular he was in other territories... God bless him.
Great job, thank you so much😍😍😍😍
It was Wrestlemania 6 he fought Piper. Not 11. Just a quick correction. Love your videos
@@chrischar9428 lol you CLEARLY watched it 😁
@@KHLB516 well it's the only thing I've ever seen on him . So I liked it !
@WALK IN MY SHADOW Yup, it mainly was garbage, sir👌
He didnt say WrestleMania 11, he just said WrestleMania, unless at the time u saw the video it said WrestleMania 11 and he went and took out that part
@@KHLB516 what parts were wrong?
My favourite of all the stampede guys. True legend.
Great video
This is fascinating!
I Was Looking ForWard To Him Being A WWF InterContinental Champion ... Was Broken Hearted When He DisAppeared From WWF ProGramming ...
Awesome
Great job with this.
I'm really enjoying these. they're like Pringle chips. one is never enough.
Dope vid 🔥 🔥
Thanks
“Yeah?! Yeah, well… PIPER’s WEARIN A *SKIRT!”* Brilliance!
He was so awesome, I wanted him and Hogan to feud when I was younger with him coming out on top.
What's with the speed reading narration? Take a breath my man, it's a great video, just slow the pace down a bit.
Saw Bad News and talked to him a few months before he died
Allan was working security in airdrie Alberta at the main mall their and he was outside in the back doing his rounds and I said are you Bad news Allan? and it was dark out i couldn't see that well but his eyes lit up and I could tell he was Smiling and he said "Yes I am" Allan you inspired and impressed many people with your amazing abilities and standing up for what is Right in a world where a lot of things are wrong the world misses you God Bless Brother.
I loved his finishing move...
This channel is so good - a hidden treasure among all the other wrestling channels
good video
Thanks
Mind blown....until now never knew Bad News character was big inspiration for Stone Cold Steve Austin, went over my head for nearly 30 years
He was Stone Cold before Stone Cold!!!!
I grew up in Calgary and watching Bad News was a huge part of it.
Very underrated wrestler
I did Judo for many years. Allen was good friends with my Sensei and I also knew Allen very well. He was very nice guy and a very good father. I used to laugh back in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when people were terrified of him. One time we went out to eat at restaurant, and people who recognized him were scared of him. I just tried to hide my laughter. Ha ha ha!
He had a successful athletic career in two sports. Too bad MMA really took off after he was too old to compete. I think he would have done well in UFC, PFC, XFC, UFC, PFL, etc.
Krystof Soszynski said that Allen got him into MMA by showing him some submissions, he said Bad News would have been a great MMA fighter.
