Oxyturbo 200. Gas set. Unboxing and test.

I've felt the need for some time for a means to spot heat. I hope this is the easiest solution. I bought the Oxyturbo 200 gas set. Here is the unboxing, initial lighting and test.

I reccomend that if you leave the equipment out of use for a long period of time you not only turn off the gas at the regulators but also unscrew the bottles since otherwise they can still leak and waste all your gas over a period of weeks/months.

Open your gas, add a little bit of O2, then light. Stops the black fairies flying around your shop. otherwise, that was painful to watch... thanks for posting, am looking at one of these, myself. Keep safe.

Basic safety !!!
When you start work, first open the gas and light the fire. Then open the oxygen.
When you finish the work, first close the gas and then oxygen.
Cool the nozzle in the water and then blow through the oxygen.

@@nightschoolblacksmith6219 System to have a fuse but ... When you turn off the oxygen first, the fire can burn in a nozzle or hose. Oxygen does not burn
and make that all the burning gas is pushed out

One question:
Have you tried to melt small quantities of say brass with it? Did it work?

Not yet! I do have spent brass that I'd like to try it with though.

I think you might have had the regulators set far too high

I'm sorry, I don't know. I suppose you could, but the oxy wouldn't last long IMO.
