- This video is the intro sequence for Ys Book II (part of Ys: Book I & II) for turbografx-CD. The game was released in North America in 1990 and was one of the first CD-Rom titles ever released.
To make the recording, I had to run it via MagicEngine, an emulator for PC. The video was captured using FRAPS. - Игры
- 8 bit gameplay
- 16bit graphics
- 80's synth and hair metal combo soundtrack
- 80's anime-style video sequences
- 80's cartoons high quality voice acting
Honestly how could anyone not fall in love with this game?
The voices at the beginning. That's Jim Cummings, and Alan Oppenheimer!
Finding this intro is way to damn hard for some reason.
That's beacuse in the PC-E both games play consecutively. There is no way to play it until the first game has been beaten.
While I love the TG-16 verion graphically and the outstanding audio theme for this sequence. This was run on an emulator and its enhanced graphics does not help it visually. I believe Magic Engine Emulator has the option to run it as though you were playing on a standard tv back in the 1990s when this version of the game was released. Which in my opinion is better visually.
This intro still gives me goosebumps

Still better voice acting than many modern games.
"His bravery presents an interesting challenge...."
lol...this is so cheezy XD.
Turns out the technique of including a Season 2 anime opening in an RPG is a bit older than I thought.
This is so cool.
In our last episode...
Fantastic Synth Sound & Beautiful Pixel Animation. Nice Video!!
voice acting is very good.
I didn't know Cabal was involved with all this
Only C&C fans understand...
found out about this theme from Natraps Zero haha
The voices at the beginning are pretty dark.
lol

How is it funny?
Who's speaking at the beginning is Dark Fact, obviously. I think it makes sense for his voice to be "dark". I just thought your comment was ironic.
I also liked your channel so i subscribed :D

Well, it's far from ironic and I was just saying that I like the voice performances.
Ah, i see...
The music is still better than the remastered versions
Technically this isn't an intro in this game, since the two games were one experience.
Great intro ruined by a "HD" smoothing filter. Do you really hate the original artists so much that you must disrespect their work like this?
