Using oil to stop the lids from sticking is a really good tip. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had to use hot water and a pipe wrench to open glue I haven’t used for a while!

That would work in the kitchen too, like with honey and molasses.

I love your blue nails. I wore that color back in 1974 wearing a navy and white dress, headed to an interview at The Colonial Baking Company. The receptionist, I was later told, called all the women to the window to see this girl with blue nail polish. Haha. I also wore a dark green color at times. They were beautiful. Now being an elderly baby boomer, I no longer feel comfortable wearing colors that draw attention to my arthritic, wrinkled hands. So, wear it proud, Ms Sherry wear it proud.

Wow this is an awesome method. I never thought of using oil on glue tips. I don’t have the glue bottle tips like yours and I’ve been holding off on buying them. Check this out! My husband vapes and buys the liquid juice for his vape. Those bottles have a thin tip. A few days ago he was going to throw away about 20 empty bottles and I got an idea of using them for my projects either put glue or paint. 😎

I highly recommend the small glue bottles. You won’t be disappointed. I don’t use a pin to keep mine from clogging, I use the cover that comes with the bottles. I do know some pins made leave a rust-like residue in the glue.

I also use a pin in my little glue bottles. When the original pin broke, I replaced it with one of my rust-proof pins from my knit & crotchet supplies. It was a perfect fit. I didn't even think that this would mean the pins were stainless steel but that totally makes sense as they are rust-proof. Thanks for mentioning that!

I don't use the same type of little plastic bottle as yours. Mine doesn't have the handy little strap on the lid. So I used one of those tiny, flat magnets with adhesive on one side, which I stuck on the side of the glue bottle. It holds the pin while I'm gluing, and doesn't get lost. Your refilling idea with the condiment bottle is excellent.

Hi Sherry, I hope that you are keeping well? What a great tip, for transferring glue, from 1 bottle to another, by putting oil around the grooves, of the neck of the bottle. Also, you can use a wide funnel, that will fit inside the neck of the glue bottle. Julia Cassidy from Nottingham England 🇬🇧 ❤
