Check out the Vortex Razor lightweight scopes. Available in 3 0r 4 magnifications. I just bought a 4.5 x 22 x 50 that only weighs 20 ounces. I just bought one at Optics Planet at Christmas sale for $1188. I wanted a light scope for hunting, longer range target and accurate load development.
That new ZCO 2-10x30 is 95% identical to the Leupold Mark 5 HD 2-10x30 minus the reticles offered, diameter (36mm vs. Leupold at 35mm), and glass. Crazy how they chose to rip that scope off. I'm sure the ZCO glass is much better, but yeah. It's almost the same scope. Looks just like an LPVO from the body of the scope, but it's an MPVO.
Don't really need much else than what they offer on an SFP unless you like shooting sub tensions at max power haha. If these were FFP scopes that would be another matter.
@@PowFairways They don't though. They come out with bizarre reticle options, only offer things in MOA and not mils for some reason depending on the line, and they have this weird bone to pick with offering illumination. There is no way adding illumination makes an optic $400+ more expensive than it's non illum counterpart. Their glass is oddly dim at the price point. The Razor Gen II and III have excellent ED glass and cost several hundred less than the equivalent Leupold optic.
Hunting scope line therefore SFP and MOA. Their Mark 4 and 5 is geared more toward the precision and tactical folks or hunters who want an FFP/MIL. For a SFP don't really need much else in terms of reticles they already offer unless you like shooting sub tensions at max power haha. If these were FFP scopes that would be another matter. The VX6HD I have has great glass although I prefer an FFP the majority of the time. For what the VX6HD line is geared for, their nice scopes. But plenty of other options out there for guys not in that category. I know they sell a lot of these. I wouldn't mind another one myself. My Mark 5 is also great.
@@Theman3806 My Razor Gen2 4.5-27 doesn’t compare to any of my Leupold Mk5HD’s in terms of image clarity and it also weighs a lot more! When you add Illumination they are still a good value IMO. Price is right in between a Razor and a high end premium optic.
Burris scope looks cool. I dunno if I want it, but it is headed in a direction I do like... Clickless infinitely adjustable turrets with HUD. Except I want it to only display the click value inside, or at least that be an option. The ability to dial exactly 75.84 repeatedly every time for instance. F Class uses 1/8moa turrets because it is the finest adjustment made. And still, for f class, you have to hold just a little sometimes. Fclass shooters would love the ability to dial to finer increments and you dont actually need clicks if the electronic mechanisms are accurate and repeatable
For the hunting crowd. How much more innovation do you need to kill something effectively😂? I don't need my scopes to play music and warm my cold hands. Just hold zero and track with the best glass I can get. For what it's intended for, these upgrades are awesome on an already great line of hunting scopes.
@@acedj4 I just said it. Lots of folk just put the time and develop the skill needed to use a simple operating tool and do just fine. More power to you if your looking for a fancy doodad to do everything for you. Seems like it would take the fun out of it personally. Many states are moving to ban stuff in that category due to fair chase concerns as well. Will see what happens. Of course my opinion is geared toward hunting. But to each their own. Have no issues with others wanting and getting fancy doodads. But the point here was that the VX6HD Gen 2 is a fine scope IMO and the upgrades are awesome for those that prefer this type of hunting scope.
Cool, it's about time holosun made a prism sight.
It’s probably out of some hunter’s price range but the new SB 3-18X42 Meta in 1fp they introduced seems to be the best new kid on the market
Awesome that the burris doesnt have a range finder or blue tooth, makes it legal in most states that are picky
I started with open sights in 1968 😂😂
6.8in in NOT short! 😤it’s above average!
Top seven scopes that this guy hates 🤣
Took the words outta my mouth hahaha
$4-5k for zero compromise scope is ridiculous
I just want lighter weight quality scopes for hunting

Leupold still making 1980’s MOA scopes with 1980’s duplex reticles. And for twice the price! smh

Leupold vx 6 hd gen 2……… not worth 2300.00 bucks
Says hold my beer zero compromise at $4-5k
Leupold doesn't understand their market
Pretty sure they do.

@@Theman3806 I’d pay $400 to not have illuminated
I would honestly rather watch paint dry than listen to anything this guy has to say. He is terrible! Talks like he is totally clueless. 🤷🏼♂️
The lack of innovation is disgusting. Seems like the only scope manufacture that’s creating new products is March. Everyone else is recycling

have you been paying attention to this industry lately? it's all copycat bullshit.
Primary Arms came out with a bunch of new scopes that seem cool, including an LPVO FFP that is actually red dot bright…
