I am Croatian and have been living and working in Istanbul for 2 years and it is really hard to believe that someone has experienced something like that in Turkey because I know the Turks and I really don't know of a more hospitable nation in the world. I don't want to say that you haven't experienced it but honestly it is not usual because the Turks are very very very courteous, helpful and nice to strangers.

I went to Turkey as an Iranian tourist in 2019, and when we boarded the Istanbul Metro, our card was out of stock and we really didn't know which way to go to charge the card, suddenly a female police officer came forward and gave us her Istanbul card. we used it and we were able to get on the subway on time and I have very good memories of the people of Turkey, there are good and bad people everywhere and fortunately you pointed out this issue with great understanding that this incident may be repeated anywhere

Heres something you may find interesting. :)
The name of my country has nothing to do with the interesting and delicious bird ''turkey''......
.....but the name of the bird does have a connection with the name of my country, let me explain. :)
Name of my country has always been Türkiye, it's been known as such since around the 1200's.
The name it self has a suffix, '' -iye '', that is Turk-iye, where the -iye suffix means 'land of/belonging to',
just like the Latin suffix of '' -ia '', which exists in such country names like
    Austr-ia, Austral-ia, Latv-ia, Roman-ia etc etc again meaning 'land of/belonging to'.
Many would remember the country Czechoslovak-ia which changed it's name to Czech Republic and a few years ago changed that to Czechia (that is Czech-ia).
The Latin suffix -ia probably originates from Turkish -iye as Turkish is much older, ancient Turkish been over ten thousand years old.
Spelled in different languages in different ways to phonetically resemble '' Türkiye ''
    we got various spellings like;
    Turquía (in Spanish),
    Turchia (in Italian),
    Turquie (in French) and
    Turkey (in English)
all trying to resemble the pronounciation of ''Turk-ia'' thus Turkiye.
Mind you this was way before the animal we currently know as 'turkey'' was found by the europeans when they explored the north americas. The bird was first sent to europe from north americas in the year 1519, so up until that point there was no bird named 'turkey'....
...they came across the bird and thought it was a specie of the fowl/chicken they had been buying from the country of Turkiye at the time, so they named the bird ''Turkey Fowl'' meaning ''Turkish Chicken''.....
....just like how a dog breed is known as German Shepherd (because it's from Germany), American Bulldog, British Terrier, Greek Harehound etc etc.
In time you don't get to call the Greek Harehound as simply as ''Greek''; or you don't call the British Terrier as ''British''; or the German Shepherd as ''German'', but in time the Turkish Fowl started to be called just ''Turkey'' and later ''turkey'', and has been going on for hundreds of years.
Now in modern times, this is causing confusion, especially when we have people across the world unable to point to their own country on the map, this ''confusion over the naming'' needed to be corrected.
So my country decided to rectify this confusion that has been going on for so long and corrected the name to Türkiye, which it always was. Basically we didn't change the name of our country, we changed the mistake made in the English language. : )
So, there's some tid bit information for you to have a great day, if you read upto this point you have a great night too, ohh just have a wonderfull life. : )
    Best wishes. ;)

I'm so sorry to hear about what you ve been through. Remember, wherever you go, no matter who you meet, always be wary of people you don't know well. I must also say that since you are a lovely female foreigner traveling alone, you should act smart around men in Turkiye . Never follow a guy who wants to show you around, especially out of town. There will definitely be people who will perceive your friendly approach, even your smile, differently. Please keep my warnings in a corner of your mind..have a safe travel in Türkiye

I am thankful you got out of there. That guy has deep seated issues and abusing alcohol. Sadly, he may never receive the help and treatment he needs. I have family members who have been overtaken by alcoholism and it is a neuropsychiatric disease.
Yes, this can happen anywhere in the world.
I started watching your vlogs and am keeping you in prayer, too! God bless your journey and keep you safe in Jesus name.

Unfortunately Turkey, of which I am a native, teems with men with some serious issues and sadly, Turkey happens to be one of the difficult places for women in Europe and in the region, if not the most. As you say though, this may happen anywhere on our beautiful planet and wish you safe travels.

I saw your video by chance. I subscribed. As a Turk, I can say that Cappadocia is an overrated touristic place among tourists. There have been no horse farms there for centuries. As tourists increased, this type of farms increased and are very touristic. Get well soon. There are a lot of places to see much local in Turkey and central anatolia...

Hi Dear, I hope you are doing well. I am a RUclips video SEO expert. I was analyzing your RUclips channel. I am really impressed by your videos, but your RUclips channel has some issues. You have made many videos, but your RUclips channel is not getting as many views and subscribers as expected. Because you have no complete SEO for any videos, no channel tags, and no video tags, if you SEO your videos, your subscribers and views will increase, and your channel will grow. Your video quality is very good, but the channel is not increasing due to not doing video SEO. By doing video SEO, the channel grows faster. I can help you if you want.@@krikkosadventure

So sorry to hear of your unfortunate events Kristina. I hope, in fact I'm sure you're already gotten over it. I do not own horses, but I do have a house in the village just outside Marmaris with a garden that needs looking after. If your travels ever pass by this area, I'd be happy if you give me a shout. Other than that I wish you the best of luck and let you know that you're doing what many people can only dream of doing. I'm also a biker and my 2nd bike was a transalp. The same as yours but black many years ago. Probably when you were about 5-10 years old. :) I've subscribed as it's the best I can do currently to help. Regards from Marmaris, Turkey.

Hi Kristina! I'm traveling with my motorcycle like you. I'm not sure how you planned the rest of your route, but I completed the Iran-Pakistan-India-Nepal-Bangladesh-Myanmar-Thailand and Malaysia tour with my GS almost a year ago. I am very sorry for the unpleasant incident you experienced in my country. I hope one day I will find a chance to make up for this myself. If you need any answers/suggestions and/or contacts/addresses with your route, I'd be glad to assist. Maybe you'll pass through my country again on your way back, or maybe you'll visit it in later years. Please remember that you have a house in the capital city, Ankara and also in Izmir. Me and my girlfriend would love to host you and make you forget those unfortunate memories you had, and also listen to your exciting stories full of laughter of your entire trip! Have a nice journey! Thank you so much and please accept my apologies on behalf of him! All the best!

You're doing fine and running away was the correct decision.
And know this these situations are common and everywhere, and your incident is minor comparing to what happens here in the USA.
    Even in Europe.
I must admit that you Swedes are very relaxed and refined, that other people won't even bother mentioning what you felt strongly about.
At any rate when you return home you'll be a different person.
Also in Saudi and Kuwait you must cover your head and avoid the sun and heat between 12 and 5 to avoid sunstrokes, I mean it.
In Saudi I myself had a sunstroke and it was bad.
    Have fun and stay alert.
Also if you plan on an escape don't make it known, just vanish quietly.

    Hi
I just encountered your video and heard about your unfortunate experience. It's so nice and kind of you that you're still trying to be empathic and stay away from generalizing the issue. As a Turkish citizen I am ashamed and felt really bad for what happened to you. It is definitely not nice and acceptable to make anyone feel unsafe in our beautiful country. I am apologizing for that man's behaviour and I hope during the rest of your journey you can encounter many more beautiful memories and those will make your visit unforgettable. I wish you a safe and pleasant journey. Also I strongly advise your to inform the authorities so they make sure that this will not happen to any other visitor in our country.
    With my best regards.
