What’s your best tip for decluttering?

Lummm: One thing I've done which has been really helpful is use what I call an "expiration box." I will put items in a box, and then a post-it note showing the date packed, general description of contents, and then an expiration date, such as "Give away, if not used in three years" or "Toss if not used in one year." It gives me psychological space ~now~ to keep stuff for a while, yet also psychological permission ~later~ to simply take the box to good will and just not worry about it.

I like that! Because, honestly, it’s that space that we often need - especially with gifts and sentimental items.

Advised Fund not realistic for most of us. . Best is to have quick garage sale and gift the rest on your local buy nothing group. Then anything left over to a charity shop that does some good work in your community ( Not a fan of Savers or Goodwill ) . Take pictures of sentimental items. . store your memories flat :-)

Thanks for a great video! I had a habit of collecting shot glasses from every city wherever I traveled. Then one day I went to a garage sale and saw a box marked with a sign of $5. These were about 40 some shot glasses in this box. I found out that it was an estate sale. Ever since, I quit my collection!

Too long a preamble before getting to your tips.
