I think this is the most nicely illustrated of the 50’s brochures you have shown so far. The colouring has a real warmth to it. You’re right, some of the really talented artist’s use a bit of poetic licence when drawing the vehicles, marginally changing the dimensions to make the cars look wider or sleeker, your Zephyr 4 brochure was a good example. I’m sure a few people turned up at the showrooms and got a bit of a shock to find their prospective purchases looking a bit dumpier than they expected ! Great vid.
Maroon and Champagne with the red leather upholstery sounds nice. I've only ever seen the Wolseley 1500 on the Idriveaclassic and furiousdriving channels. The illuminated badge on the front is a Wolseley exclusive item.
Really nice brochure as I have seen these on Twin Cam and Idriveaclassic so it’s nice to see the actual brochure for this car. I do like the illustrations in these older style brochures. I also like the longer videos like this too
This was the first car I remember my parents having. It was champagne and red. It was 1969 when I was 4! I believe it was collected/towed away from our house because it failed its MOT due to rust etc. it was replaced with a brand new G reg 1969 Ford Escort 1100 de luxe 2 door in ermine white which in hindsight was a much more modern car. I remember the wood dash and red leather interior and the illuminated Wolseley badge on the front grille.
This is something that is lost. When a family member crashed the family CX5 Mazda took ages to get a replacement and it had to be white or wait months for a blue car. Most of the colours aren't very nice and are absolutely invisible in traffic. Ofcourse I'm a child of the 70s but this is one area where modern cars could improve.

Wonderful- great memories- certainly a huge leap forward getting into an Escort.
I love the art in these old brochures. Such a beautiful car.
Absolutely
Good News! ALL Wolseley badges lit up!
Just something a bit special about that
