And congrats to Ma Te and Liu Fei, especially Ma Te. He was hyper aggressive for a chopper, almost all attacks landed and either put pressure on or outright won the point. Hope those two keep playing together and find even more success in their career.
Right handers most often do this to create side and underspin to assure that the ball will come on the choppers backhand, regardless if it's a spinny attack from the opponent. This way they know exactly where to place the third ball to keep the opponent unballanced in his shot.
I'm a chop blocker. I use Long Pips at my backhand. often play against chopper.. yes it's correct that U must know how to use LP, but the easiest way to counter heavy underspin is by using vertical long pips

@@teguhdharmawangsa6514 just reverse it back with top spin from you LP. That's what I do with a lot fom speed and 9/10 doesn't come back.
