I forgot to mention that you can avoid grounding out your vehicle if you have air suspension fitted(albeit very expensive)…you can raise it higher whilst driving or when stationery to avoid situations like that. John & tash (life beyond brick’s) have the same suspension fitted. It’s also excellent for levelling the van as long as it’s not ridiculously sloped
Hope you don't regret the swop from that 3ltr !! I did the same 2013 Autotrail Comanche to a 2021 Warwick XL I did 9000k in 12 months and have sold it.Every 100 miles 1ltr of add blue I had the superb 9 speed auto box(no complaints there) but those new Fiat engines they can keep them.Once the amber warning light comes on depending on your driving style or load you get 350 miles then it goes red. Apparently you have about 20 miles left before it wont restart, not a nice feeling.I was told 10,000 miles before amber light came on. I got 1350 miles and sometimes a lot less. Good luck guys 👍keep the channel going PS Ive bought older again LOL🤣
Oohhh castleton x it’s a lovely park up x we were there this weekend but was so busy we moved on at first light x Glad the new van is out and about, shame about the little accident but easily fixed x Great family vlog guys Hope you are all well x Leanne & oliver x
Why Swift decided to fit the drain valve there I just can’t understand. It in a really badly designed position right in the middle of the wheelbase so when you go over the slightest hump it’s hits the ground. Our van is an 8 metre Bessacarr so like yours it’s got quite a long wheel base, consequently once the wheels at one end go over any undulation in the ground the belly of the van is very low down, and the water valve is the lowest point. I’ve knocked ours of twice, and both times it was going over a very small hump. Rob and Lyn on tour have knocked theirs off as well. To stop me knocking it off again I’ve moved the valve, it’s now temporarily fixed to the chassis as far back as I could get it (limited by the length of available wire) I got some 28mm pipe and some elbow fittings, so now the drain comes out of the tank goes to the off side as before but now turns 90deg runs down the inside of the chassis to the valve. From the valve it continues down the inside of the chassis towards the waste drain pipe then turns through 90deg and comes out next to the waste pipe. At the moment everything is held on by cable ties, I’ve yet to make a couple of proper brackets and get the pipe runs levelled out a bit better to drain the water fully. What I might do is extend the cable for the valve and position it next to the waste water valve behind the rear wheel so then there’s no way it can ground out.
Have you been to the Weatherspoons in Exeter called the Imperial? My favourite. I want t return to Exeter just to go back to that pub. If you haven't been check out the pictures on the internet - incredible.

If a new RV van , wheels spin out . There a bigger problem. 1 you may have to much weight in the van. 2 you have the wrong tires on for the van. Many RV sellers will out the cheapest tires on when you buy. Because they know you'll be back. 3. You have packed the van wrong. To much weight not balanced. 4. Your trying to carry to much water with you. If you drain the tanks to just what you might need. You'll save of fuel, and the van will be lighter. Fill the water back up when you hook up.

Fantastic video 📹 you have just got a new subscriber to you channel..quick question please on your broken dump valve does it have a make or model number as I would like to add one to our van to make it easier instead off getting on our knees to open a hand valve...thanks justin & carol
Hi guys, and welcome along. I’ve just had a look for you and there’s no part number on there I’m afraid. Also as it’s electronically controlled it would need wiring run and a way to trigger it, although ours just works through the control panel.
You’ve exhausted me…currently sitting on the drive in my MH which is nearly bouncing all over the place owing to continuing high winds here in Somerset!!
I live in America and I've never heard of a manual rv in this country. We must have them but I don't thinks it's very popular in America. Love the channel!

Hi Phillip, I believe they are planning to amend where this is fitted on some models going forward. We still just have ours bunged up but are hoping to get it sorted soon even if we have to do it ourselves
@@RoamingRadfords Thanks Steve. We panic at every humped back bridge sign, I’d happily pay for a fix. I know you have strongly backed Swift but I’m afraid to say, it’s shocking that they haven’t sorted this.
Good to see you out and about using the new van. Steve if it’s any consolation in all my years of owning a motorhome the only place I’ve struggled with the roads was Yorkshire about two months ago heading to the Will o nats pub some narrow lanes and steep inclines round that way. I fitted rear air to give an extra bit off lift been invaluable the extra lift comes in handy especially for getting on and off ferries. And I’m with young George you canny beat building dens.👍

Other than this small issue the MH is lovely and we agree with you, the cab is wonderful.
@@RoamingRadfords Hi Steve, did you ever get a fix fir this from Swift? Despite my best attempts I have heard nothing.
How are you finding the comfort levels compared to the 649?
Love it, especially during the day!
Thank you Wully xx
It's about time that Calor Gas got their act together. It is getting ridiculous now.
Them fish and chips will get rid of the new van smell
That’s OK! So will 3 sweaty boys 🤣🤣🤣
Love the video but a 2 litre engine??????in that size of van.
It’s a 2.2 180bhp engine Jon and I’ve done over 1000 miles in it now and I’m adjusting my driving style to suit and it’s working well
Llandudno have a nice wetherspoons 👍
