The middle school I went to has the vintage glass covered pull stations. They are connected to simplex 2901-9840’s with single projector covers and in the class rooms (middle school side) they have simplex 624-940’s. The portables (on the elementary side) have Wheelock AS/MT’s and the middle school portables has Wheelock 34T’s. The middle school system is on continuous and the elementary is on Temporal (code 3)
I've seen quite a few Simplex 4251-30 break-glass pulls with the newer glass pane like that on actual alarm systems, usually at least one of them would be like that in such a system (I think one of the 4251-30s at my first elementary school has replacement glass in it like that.) I remember the school I got a bunch of Simplex 4051+4050-80 horn/lights from five years ago had nearly half of its' 4251-30 pulls have replacement glass like that in them!
The horn on the 9219 sounds cool and all, but the strobe on it will get fried because it’s being ran on FWR power, which is why the horn sounds a bit raspy. Just be careful when running Simplex 4903s on FWR, it can potentially kill the devices when it’s being ran for too long.
If you’re going to run any newer Simplex devices (4903 horn strobes,4901 electronic horns, newer 4904s, and any TrueAlerts) get a filtered power supply first. FWR can kill newer simplex devices. Just be careful with FWR.
@Dank Fire fighters are not engineers - they would not have this knowledge of the horn/strobe power signal waveforms or any other technical aspects of the systems.
How It Works: nulln is sitting on a seat with an animation that plays with the holotar. The seats settings are set so nulln is standing when on it, not sitting down. Then its just slight tweaking until it works!
