J10C does not offer any advantages that JF17 doesnt provide - It carries identical payload as to JF17 - Instead J-31/J-35 would be a fitting platform for PAF, if it comes with an engine commonality to PAF's existing JF-17 Thunder fleet. Such as the RD-93MA.

The issue is Jf17 is not a solution for everything and it is not a big aircraft as compared to F16 and J10. PAF needs a new aircraft to replace its aging and dying fleet of F7's and even mirages which is very old and is outdated in the modern world of fighter jets. Project Azm is very good initiative from PAF but it's going to take almost 15+ years till we get to see the first version of it. I believe PAF needs one modern aircraft with its existing fleet of F16 and Jf17 to strengthen its airforce and in my opinion J10C is a right option. Many are saying that J31 might be inducted in PAF but again it's not ready and it may need another 5+ years until it reaches its full potential and maturity. Let's see what happens.

For those who saying J-10 is unnecessary and JF-17 is bad aircraft, it has nothing to do with JF-17. The PAF is interested in buying J-10C (not confirmed) because if FC-31 is not matured and US disapproved on Viper upgrade/new Block 72+ , then PAF shouldn’t have been in hard time situation like 1990-2006 on F-16 sanctions. It would make sense J-10C can boost the role(s) of F-16 in limited number.
