I am retired, I am almost 71. I wore makeup to work every day and did my nails. After I retired, I had breast cancer. After I went through that, I did not give a hoot about putting on makeup to run errands etc. Now, I put on makeup ton to go out. Not an every day or even every week. I see those other channels and they have every hair in place, makeup just perfect, brand new outfits. They never seem to sweat or get dirty. You are real and that is what I love about you!

I am the same way about not wearing makeup to clean my house. When you get my age you can't see well enough to put makeup on at all anymore....Lol. I need my glasses on to see what I'm doing. I can't have my glasses on and put on eye shadow and mascara. I feel that the women wearing makeup on RUclips while cleaning are only wearing it because they are videoing themselves. I love watching you cook and you sharing your recipes. Those are my favorite videos. Please share more of your cooking and recipes.

I have my grandmothers old cast iron pans. She bought them in 1945 and she washed them after every use with hot soap and water. That’s also how I wash them. They are in beautiful condition and have never had any rust or anything on them. They were passed to me 4 years ago when she died.

I of course have my supply of socks, well a lot of friends loved them, I of course told them where to get them. So of course they didn’t, but for Christmas I made a little basket for them including the mop socks, and got some squeals( if you know you know), thought you’d get a kick out of that.
I usually do my hair and makeup and squeeze into my prom dress then I start to clean my house😁😁😁

I have 3 cast iron pans… 1 shallow, 1 deep and 1 grill pan (not a griddle). I know there are cast iron purists who are vehemently opposed to using soap, others use soap and don’t have problems.
I tend to not use soap, for no real reason, I just don’t. I rinse, scrape any food debris off then use kosher salt as an abrasive for the littlest bits. Spray with cooking oil then store it.

I like to wear a bit of makeup each day and do my hair and nails, as I find that doing so makes me feel so much better and ready to tackle the day.

I use soap and a scrub daddy to clean my cast iron pan! Then I season it with olive oil. Been doing that for years!! The pan is still fine!

I use to never go out without makeup I was so embarrassed always dressed up. Now I could care less if I wanna go out in my leggings or my joggers with my slipper clogs I'm going that way of course if I have to dress in jeans I will but I just don't care anymore. I do compare myself to others then again some of mine could be from depression and anxiety. ❤❤❤ either way we are beautiful with makeup or going natural I say do what makes you happy 😊 ❤❤❤

I made the best deconstructed chicken pot pie this week! Three chicken breasts, bag of frozen veggies, cubed potatoes, can of family size cream of chicken soup, various spices in the crock pot. Canned biscuits in the oven and voila! It was so good with this cold snap we are having here in Florida recently.

Im still a Rae Dunn collector but I've transitioned into her older, harder to find pieces. My daughter goes to school in the town where Rae Dunn has her studio and where the company who now manufacturers her designs is so I have found some sample pieces and older designs at thrift stores and goodwill etc. Its so much more beautiful and a lot of fun to look for 😊
I am 66 and still working. I wear eye makeup for work, haven’t embraced my gray hair yet, and have a very modest wardrobe. My emphasis is on function and presentability.
I really like your house. It is roomy and spacious and you and Bobby have done some excellent updates, IMO. You are inspiring to watch and keep your home well maintained. Oh, and I've got to get myself some of those mop socks!
I haven't worn makeup for the past 3 years!..I will put a little on if we go out for dinner or something, but other than that I never put any on! I just don't see the need! 😂😂❤

I used to at least put on makeup to go to the store, but now I just put lipstick on and go! 🤣 If I go out for dinner with friends or anywhere else, I'll put on makeup, but I sure as heck don't do unless I have to! 😂 It's just unnecessary, imo. Your boys were so sweet helping you! I agree, it's good to have them help when they're around. I agree; I love the 'emptiness' of the house after the Christmas decorations are put away. I like less decor on tables (like in your bedroom) than more. I think I sent you this recipe but if I didn't here it is again & its so easy & delicious: In a 13x9 pan layer cooked, bite-size pieces of chicken or turkey, chopped frozen broccoli, 1 can cream of celery soup, any kind of shredded cheese, prepared pepperidge farm (or similar) stuffing cubes. Bake at 350 approximately 30-45 minutes or until the cheese is melted & stuffing is per your crispiness preference. It really is excellent. Great video as always, thanks.

im a makeup lover, i just love the pretty colors and glitter. but most of the time i am without makeup too as i spend a lot of time at home. but also i might be makeup free when i go out and then do makeup just for fun when i hang out at home.
Cambriea if I am home for the day or just running to the local grocery store I never worry about makeup. I take care of my skin & am confident enough to go out, it truly does depend on where I am going.
I’m putting my stuff away now. My son made a blower with an old vacuum,it is small and has a hose. I use it on every thing. It is like what they have for motorcycles. ❤❤❤❤

More recipes, please! This mom of two plus one bonus kid needs some ideas to accommodate all the palettes.
Soap doesn't destroy cast iron but it is not good the reason why no soap is because when you cook in them the lack of coating on the pan helps to season it. So what I do is clean it the best I can with just water then if it needs a little more put it on the stove and heat it with olive oil then when you pull it off carefully scrub the pan again while it's still hot rinse and dry completely and you're done.

This hour long video was perfect for me today. I just put you on and went on a tidy of my house. And Im glad you arent totally involved with hair and makeup., Im older gal and it doesnt matter to me much either.
Over the years with my decorating ive found odd numbers of items on shelves/displays always look more visually appealing. I love those baskets too!! I think though the basket next to the large planter would look better if it weren't the same size as the planter. Varying the height would really improve the overall look I think. Take all this with agrain or salt because i am the polar opposite of your decorating style. Im a maximalists through and through. Everyone else's over the top is usually my starting point 😂

Cambria it may help storing your potatoes in the bottom of your fridge, There is just me and my husband now so don’t use them often but find storing them this way they can last 4 weeks so not as much waste, worth a try! love the recipes we all need help in the kitchen 🇬🇧
Cami, a big YES to sharing cooking recipes.....about cast iron, no soap....what I do if I have stubborn cooking stuff left on the skillet, I drain any grease, pour hot water about 2 inches worth, in the skillet and put it on the stove and let it come to a boil, turn it off, let it cool a bit, and just pour out the water, you may need a scrapper, or a soft brush to get it all off, no soap, just the boiling water and brush or scraper, the next step is the most important.....set the skillet back on the stove, wipe out the inside with a paper towel, turn on the burner, when smoke comes up from the skillet turn off the burner, put about a tablespoon of oil in the skillet and spread it around with a paper towel, leave the skillet on the burner until it cools completely, make sure any excess oil is wiped off with a paper towel...then store...NEVER EVER, wash a cast iron skillet and store it without seasoning it, the seasoning, which is the oil rubbed on with a paper towel and heated, is what keeps the skillet from sticking. that is how my grandma and mama took care of cast iron, I still use the skillet that belonged to my grandma....

I like that you also decorate with the things that Bobby likes and means a lot to him, next to your own wonderful memories. Also, with face care, my mama always told me (and I still do it to this day) that when you're putting lotion or serums on your face, to use your ring fingers when applying around your eyes. When putting lotion on the rest of your face and neck, you apply it in an upward motion. You don't want to apply it down your face because gravity is already going to pull your skin down and you don't want to help it lol. That's what she always used to say. It's good practice that I follow. 🙂

When I first started my channel, I'd do my makeup and hair, but I realized it wasn't realistic. I get hot, my makeup runs, and my hair gets in the way. Now, you get what you get 😅

Used to wear makeup, nail polish and wore suits, dresses and heels to work everyday. When work went casual, off came the suits, dresses, heels and makeup. So freeing 😊

Oh my , im 34 years old with 7 kids from 17 Year's to 18 months old still nursing and is being like 8 years since I used makeup every single day or my hair or even a bath at night, last 8 years I just wash my face clean clothes hair up and start my day cleaning and cooking taking care of my kids drive them to school at night just a shower to go to bed clean and just once in a while a bath and every Sunday for church I do my makeup I rather spend time cleaning my house and time with my family then time doing my hair or makeup every day 😊

My mom always put on make up and good clothes, when she left the house.
For sure, she was struggling to see here daughter don´t care if she has dirty workwear on to go shopping or not using make up at all.
It´s not that you need to compare yourself with someone else. You only need to keep in mind that every person is comfortable in a different situation and also has a unique focus on goals and lives a unique life with unique factors which are influencing this person.
I wash my cast iron with soap and then oil it afterward i have done this since day one of having them and have had no problem

16 pieces of cast. Everyone of them sees soap. Not ever use. But when needed, yes. As long as taken care of AFTER soap they will last a lifetime.

You need to try the frozen Dorot garlic cubes if you think you like jar garlic. It's incredible, way more vibrant and bright. I get mine at Safeway or Trader Joe's usually, maybe 4$? They're in like little ice cube trays about the size of a wide smartphone, usually nearish the frozen veg.
I have two cast iron pans that were my grandmothers, as an ex chef, this is how I clean my cast irons. I rinse under warm water, then take A handful of Kosher salt and rub the pan with your fingers or a plastic scraper if you need to. Rinse with warm water dry completely and take some neutral oil and rub it in. My pans are over 150 years old. And I love them. Dorene Weiss
I just use my cast iron over and over. Using soap will get the seasoning of the iron washed off. If there is lots of things still in the pan, i let it cool and use a paper towel and a bit of oil to wipe it off. Storing on an old towel or on the stovetop and clean paper towels inbetween the pans.
About every month i clean mine normally with a brudh and dish soap but put it in the (hot but cooling down) oven with a fresh bit of oil in so the seasoning is not completely gone
I handwash my dishes so, as to cast iron, I wash it at the end of the process, then dry it with a towel. All my cast iron is out so it gets a chance to dry completely without any problems. Nothing ever sticks. I've done it like this all my life and it works a treat. I just don't believe in babying my cast iron. All of it is very old... and so am I! No coddling allowed! 🤣
