- This video is another dying light 1 video. for those of you who didn’t know, dying light 1 had its first update since 2022 when support for the game stopped. This update was to celebrate the 9th anniversary of dying light and reintroduced the super crane event to the game. So today we are going to check it out for a bit.

I played it, and got the goal within about an hour. The game is STILL amazing, 9 years later.
Same I just had to go to Old Town and just fling them off the restaurant quarantine rooftop.😂
I couldn’t pull them it rarely worked for some reason 🤷♂️

Unlimited grappling hook was needed because we don't have a paraglider like In Dying Light 2
We don’t need a paraglider in dl1
We do have Pyza suit tho
Playing as Crane from Dying Light 1 made me feel like a tank that could do parkour. Playing as Aiden made me feel like Spiderman in DL2.
Idk what dying light you were playing enemies take like half my health in dying light 1 with like 2 hits

We all know experience and skill wise crane had the edge and we can say devs just wanted to make it easier for us BUT TGATS BORING soooo I wonder who is physically stronger between crane and Aiden
@TrayGolden you get invincible eventually with each level-up you had. Idk about you but I had indestructible I mean powerful weapons that could even kill volatiles

I decided to replay dying light 1 on nightmare, and was actually surprised that an event was going on. It definitely gave me some fun.

while the event was up i found a cheese where drop kick kills counted inside the quarintine zones. but they have to be one zombie at a time, and it worked best in the stuffed turtle

He keeps talking about Dying Light 2, and I still haven't even played or touched it yet, I will someday though... But I absolutely love the first Dying Light iconic and amazing I still play the hell out of it today. And also it's really amazing they did this hyper mode event for the first game👍
I think you have to move backwards so when the grapple hits u move back and they get pulled towards you

Also, you can just throw them off roofs with other methods & as long as the fall kills them it still counts.😂
You don't necessarily need the grappling hook to do the challenge you can either throw,kick or dropkick zombies off the roofs and it still would have counted

You are right it just works like that, I don’t know if its a bug or something..
@juannaco4803 I think its intentional cuz it would make sense to hold the button to pull zombies rather then tap

Fun fact: i started playing it with my friends cause i couldnt get my minecraft server running and we all had it on epic (then i bought Dying Light Definitive Edition on steam for 10 euro cause why not) and we still havent finished the story (event was fun af)

I brought DL 1 and finished it love the story and the following(already finished the dlc) and I saw my game time is 48(currently 55+ now) hour and 55 percent achievement 🗿💀🗿
Now, I see play event and without event and I did not know what event it was. Next thing I know I'm powerful as lol, but killing zombies with the grapple hook was easy. So I got my new favorite the spectral baseball bat, and it really felt good ngl. But one thing is for sure it was FUUN
At this rate the devs should add a Aiden costume for dying light 1 and more skins 😄👍

Dl1 is definitely special, but maybe in the future dl2 can catch up

Dying light graphically is a masterpiece that still holds up today.
Reused textures everywhere, lack of visual effects, the only thing good about the game were particle effects and entity effects, even then by 2014 standards they' were pretty outdated.

They need to optimize the crafting system like they did in DL2, so you don't have to spam click for 30 min to craft all your medkits.
They should add a survival gamemode, Like with hunger and thirst and stuff.

I just wish dying light 2 had dying light 1s grappling hook everything else I’m pretty much OK with tbh esp with Guns comin n such. Hopefully if techland doesn’t change it a mod comes out when the mod support update comes out
I'm going to be honest the grappling hook in dl1 was unfun to use. It just launched you at buildings and nothing else. In dl2 the grappling hook actually has gravity which makes it more enjoyable to use.

Bro u hadda weakened the zombies with the grappling hook first then u can pull them towards u an yes the grappling hook has unlimited use now
For me i didn't have to weaken them, i just had to hold the button while using the grappling hook
I tested it on the zombies before and found out i had to hold the trigger to throw them
I like dying light so much...

If only we could have a choice to have these modifiers like whenever i want to, i can make dropkicks make zombies fly into the outerspace or remove fall damage or something

Tbh people just need a little pull to come back. The game is fun, but it does get repetitive like any other game. If the devs added a little more story to the game like additional side quests to fill in more details for harran and the survivors, you can bet even more would return

They really should to remake all animations of crane in 3 person, looks really weird when you are playing with a friend

I honestly didn't really enjoy the event, it might've been because of i played it on my 100% save but i just didn't find it fun to knock zombois over the big bridge (yes that's how i finished the personal goal) or fly across the map instantly.
Hopefully they do last update and make pvp balanced and make the game more optimized for new gen consoles cuz the game is so buggy with last update that they did and performance is shit if u tey to play pvp with 4 player is so bad and add fov for new gen consoles 😢

It's not an update, the game code is long done. All they did was activate an existing event in the code that has been done 100x.
Is the gold UV flashlight a mod or can you get it?

Dying light 1 always had great physics. I’m pretty sure they never overhauled the physics, unless it was for an event like hyper mode.
Should I buy dying light 2 for $60 or dying light #1 for $8.99. I have the money for either, I’ll even buy both if it’s worth it. I just wanna know what’s better in your opinion
u dont have to pay $60 for dying light 2, there are sales all the time just wait for a sale. a new update is coming in a few days and there will most likely be a sale then so just get it then

It's beyond me how it's 9 years and DL1 is still better than DL2 on so many levels and they still wont stop shipping DL2 to continue DL1.

I'm a new player. Today when I played the game I realized I couldn't spam grappling hook anymore. Now I know I had been playing in a limited event period. Fuck
