      @RinkatsiTV 5 лет назад +19

Yeah it rhymes sometime but most of the time they do not.
      For example first rap
      Nahihirapan - pakiramdam
      Second
Pauwi na ko - wag ka na sakin mag tampo
      They're not rhyming perfectly.
Sometime the vowels rhyme but the consonants didn't. And vice versa

    • @RinkatsiTV
      @RinkatsiTV 5 лет назад +16

@Andrew Diaz do you even know what rhyming is? The last syllable should sound the same. Not one letter of the last syllable.
      For example.
      Mawala nang galang,
      Ako'y nag papaliwanag lamang.
Hindi ko nais na ikaw ay mainsulto
Kaya't wag na nating paabutin kay tulfo.(tulfo with pinoy accent -tulpo)
The first one rhymes perfectly but the second one it kinda rhyme but actually it did not.

  • @markcruz359
    @markcruz359 5 лет назад +15

It does rhyme, you'll notice that a lot of the lines ends with an "a"
    Like the chorus
    Miss na kita
    Baby hindi ko na kaya
    Sobrang saya ko na
    Muli tayong magsasama
Pangako hindi ka na maghihintay ah!
The captions are correct, although its hard to translate word for word and make it rhyme or even make sense. So words get arranged according to the english grammar.

As a song writer for both English and Tagalog our writing process is no different from the American way of writing. Then that’s also depends on the creativity. But like everyone said it doesn’t rhyme if it’s translated in English but in Tagalog it definitely rhymes.

Their Tagalog rap does rhyme but I think, for Filipino songwriters, the story and content is more important than the rhyme. Also, delivery and emotions weigh more than rhythmic lyrics that's why a lot of Filipino singers are soulful.

  • @wuck2226

The Lyrics and the Rap is on point. It happens that one word in English gets longer when translated to Tagalog.
Nahihirapan - means "Suffer" or Struggling"
    Pakiramdam - means "Feelings"
It happens to have plenty of syllables so it looks like we rap faster.

They always create there lyrics with rhymes.. different kinds of rhyme are in here some are rhymes a long and fast lines, some have rhymes between the lines like in 5:43
"Mahirap pala ang malayo sa TULAD MO,
    Isa yan sa NATUTUNAN KO,
    Kaya mga PAGKUKULANG KO,
    Ay PUHUNAN KO,
Ako na ulit ang UNAN MO"
If you translated it in english it doesn't have the rhyme anymore but the rhyme schemes here are quite good if you know Tagalog..
    great reaction btw..

    Panty Dropperz League
    Hey!
    Miss na kita
    baby hindi ko na kaya
    Sobrang saya ko na
    muli tayong magsasama
    Pangako na
'di ka na maghihintay at ('Di na)
    Hindi ka na malulungkot

    baby pauwi nako
    Ako'y pauwi na
    Baby pauwi nako
    Miss na miss na kita
    Baby pauwi nako

    Walang segundong sasayangin
yung tipong maya't maya mong hahanapin

I get what you're saying. The rhyme isn't conventional because the "rhymes" hit and connect on the vowels, in English it would be like forcing a rhyme between "same" and "take" (the old English poets did that too). Filipinos will say "ba" rhymes with "kita" or stretch a link between the A sound in "lamang" & "tandaan" bec the lexicon/grammatical rules don't make for conventional English rhymes and has always relied on phonetic vowel and syllabic connections.

10:57 I will do my best to answer your question. IMO, the Filipino language, Tagalog, is easy to rhyme or easier to rhyme because of vowels. The vowel "a" is most used instead of "e" in english. In tagalog, for the most part, the number of syllables in the word depends on how many vowels there are.

This is the English translation of this song:
    Hey!
I miss you so much baby, I can't take it much longer.
I'm so happy that we can be together again.
I promise that you won't ever have to wait again (never).
You will no longer be sad, I'm almost there baby, I'm coming home.
    Post-Chorus:
    I'm on my way
    Baby I'm coming home
    I miss you so much
    Baby I'm coming home
    I'm on my way
You will no longer be sad, I'm almost there baby, I'm coming home
    Verse 1:
I don't wish to see sadness in your eyes.
That's why I found a way to ease your sadness.
Rather than you being like that, I don't want you to be hurt.
I know your feeling of struggle,
that's why I don't want to make you feel that way again.
I'm almost there, just a little bit more and we will be together.
I will be there by your side soon, a little more patience my love,
and your sadness will be washed away.
I'm so happy to be with you again,
after we haven't seen each other for a long while.
I will never stay away from your side again.
I promise you won't ever be alone, because I'm coming home.
    Chorus:
I miss you so much baby, I can't take it much longer.
I'm so happy that we can be together again.
I promise that you won't ever have to wait again (never).
You will no longer be sad, I'm almost there baby, I'm coming home.
    Post-Chorus:
    I'm on my way
    Baby I'm coming home
    I miss you so much
    Baby I'm coming home
    I'm on my way
You will no longer be sad, I'm almost there baby, I'm coming home
    Verse 2:
I'm coming home, so baby please don't sulk no more.
I already brought what you need.
I miss you so much, what did I do wrong?
I just want to see you.
Please don't be mad, coz it'll only make you uglier.
But even if you get angry,
I'll still be coming home to you.
No one else attracts me like you do.
Why are you always so grouchy?
Maybe we can try talking it out.
Sometimes, I can never tire of making sense of our arguments.
I love you so much, you know that I'll never search for any other.
Just remember only this: My love for you is yours only.
But more importantly, I'm coming home.
    Just a moment.
    Don't scold me please.
I miss so much about you,
even our petty quarrels where we'll end up being pissed at each other.
One of the things I learned is that it's hard to be away from someone like you.
That's why, I will make up for all my shortcomings.
I shall become your pillow once more.
    Chorus:
I miss you so much baby, I can't take it much longer.
I'm so happy that we can be together again.
I promise that you won't ever have to wait again (never).
You will no longer be sad, I'm almost there baby, I'm coming home.
    Post-Chorus:
    I'm on my way
    Baby I'm coming home
    I miss you so much
    Baby I'm coming home
    I'm on my way
You will no longer be sad, I'm almost there baby, I'm coming home
    Verse 3:
    I'm on my way (way!)
    Sorry for making you wait.
Sorry, I'm already on my way.
Are you getting anxious? (are you)
    Just wait, I'm almost there.
Is there anything you want, so that I can buy it here as well?
So that there will be no more disruptions.
No one will disturb our time.
Just the two of us and no one else.
We will journey to the stars together riding our bed.
    Because when I'm with you,
I know that I will never get lost (woo!).
I'm so excited to hug you (hug you).
Make all of you mine (mine).
No second will go to waste.
I will cherish you so that you'll crave for it every so often.
My tenderness that's comparable to no one else's.
Expect that you will never be cold again once I get there.
    Chorus:
I miss you so much baby, I can't take it much longer.
I'm so happy that we can be together again.
I promise that you won't ever have to wait again (never).
You will no longer be sad, I'm alomost there baby, I'm coming home.
    Post-Chorus:
    I'm on my way
    Baby I'm coming home
    I miss you so much
    Baby I'm coming home
    I'm on my way
You'll no longer be sad, I'm almost there baby, I'm coming home
    Verse 4:
We haven't seen each other for a while, right?
That's why you should know how I miss you so much.
And you don't have to be sad anymore, so please smile.
I'm yearning for you baby, I'm coming home.
You shouldn't be anxious because you will get to feel my kisses again.
Those hugs of love that are so tight, that no other love can transcend.
I really can't explain why it feels so good.
because you don't know how long I waited to be able to kiss you.
That's why if I hold you, I will never let you go.
    I missed you, you know.
Sorry if I neglected you, but you were never out of my mind. Sweet, right?
    Don't worry, I'm almost there.
Don't get angry anymore. I'm coming.
Let me make it up to you, so just hang in there.
    Chorus:
I miss you so much baby, I can't take it much longer.
I'm so happy that we can be together again.
I promise that you won't ever have to wait again (never).
You will no longer be sad, I'm almost there baby, I'm coming home.
    Post-Chorus:
    I'm on my way
    Baby I'm coming home
    I miss you so much
    Baby I'm coming home
    I'm on my way
You will no longer be sad, I'm almost there baby, I'm coming home
    Outro
    I'm coming home woah
You will no longer be sad yeah
You will no longer be sad, I'm almost there baby

It is not intended to find words that go and rhyme together for these rappers in Filipino as the Filipino language or the Tagalog words normally end in vowels as it is the orthography of this language. So to you, it seems like they arranged it that way which may be true for some phrases/parts in this song but it is mostly & spontaneously done more on their attempts to pull off a natural and casual narrative of the song enrapt about the story being told rather than focusing on words to achieve rhymes. Nonetheless, wordplay is an idea furthermore being employed here in this rendition. The faculty of reason behind the rhyming effect, I believe is paved by their artful verbalization intervals which were tastefully done and very apparent in this wonderful song. All said is my personal view alone. Anyhow, thanks for the video. Take good care. God bless us all.

we use mainly the vowels 'a' and 'o' especially the 'a' so i think this is the reason why we sound rhythmical i guess...but they still rhymed it and it worked wonderfully

You should listen to more Filipino rap or hip hop songs. The more you listen to them the more you'll understand the rhyming patterns. It's hard for other people that don't understand tagalog to hear the rhymes unlike these Spanish songs that blows up in the US, but when you get used to it it's going to be easy to point out where the rhyme schemes are.

The thing is that it does rhyme, it’s just a matter of getting used to the phonemes (syllabic sounds) of the language to actually identify it. The English words that are loosely translated from the Tagalog lyrics do not rhyme which is why rap in different languages have different rhyme pairings with words that aren’t paired with in English. For example, in English you can rhyme coin with join, but when translated to Tagalog, barya (coin) and sumali (join), does not rhyme. Complex differences like this make music a transcendent language and why music is so much more than the instrumentation.

It rhymes perfectly, and the message is clear in tagalog thats true they choose words in tagalog to make the rhyme. The thing is tagalog is more easy get rhyme than english maybe. But the message and translation in english is no play it is what it is.

It's probably because it's a different language so it's hard to spot the rhymes but it's actually easy to rhyme in the Tagalog. It's easy because there's lots of languages in the Philippines not just Tagalog so if there's a rhyme that doesn't sounds good most artist just takes some common used words from different languages from different parts of the country so they rhyme all the time.

  • @bluewolf4789

Maybe yes. Rappers pick words to rhymes. Some part are in purely tagalog (esp the chorus) they used philipinized or tagalized word or known as Filipino language

It rhymes. Read the lyrics...if it ends in the letter “A” then the next should be the same. If it changes to another letter then it follows suit.

They probably do however it isn't that hard. Majority of our words end in a vowel.
I work outside the country and when I talk to a fellow Filipino in Tagalog, our Indian front end developer says it sound like I'm rapping. I think it's more on our cadence when we talk that make rapping work when the words don't rhyme.

the thing about Filipino language. Actually if you are bilingual, it is not that very hard to speak.
    Like check this out
    Argument (English) = Pagtatalo (Tagalog)
Idk I do write songs and poems but if you could observe carefully its easy to get another rhyming word
for that tagalog world. Of course there's expertise when it comes to making rhymes and meaning of the song.
Besides O.C dawgs is just a taste of our hard core rock. I reaaally recommend you to hear gloc 9 if you haven't already. A legend very good at rap both tagalog and english :)
