What is the stuff you spray on iridescence to protect it from yer gentle washing? Then, reapply to permanently help protect ? Saw on another site . Looks like hairspray application, but still didn’t catch product identity. Please share if you can ladies. Mahalo/ thank you.
History of the button was fantastic! As soon as you said Rough Riders my mind automatically jumped to Teddy Roosevelt. Who of course was the inspiration for the Teddy Bear.
Rough Riders IS a cool name! So cool, in fact, my city's football (Canadian, which is like American football but slightly different) team was called the Ottawa Rough Riders, which was founded in 1876 and was one of the oldest teams in North America (seriously, Canada only became a self-governing dominion in 1867!) but they took the name in 1898 from Roosevelt's regiment in the Spanish-American war (also their colours, red and black) ...that is, until another Canadian city, Saskatchewan, decided they also liked the name! So now, to avoid confusion, we have the worst football team name, the Ottawa Redblacks (I know, it's terribly uncreative.) Anyways, a little bit of useless trivia for you about the name Rough Riders.
I'm new here. It hurt me to watch you put some of those things back down. Ha ha You may have a bunch of something, but is a bunch enough? ha ha I enjoyed watching your adventure.
Thank you for taking me on all your adventures !! I love both your channels so much. You both reminds me so much of my Mom and me 💝 We loved going on adventures and crafting together. Unfortunately being that I live in Canada there is not much chance of any Mudlarking adventures for me. Oh well, I get to live vicariously through you both !!
Nicola white talks about spraying something on her iridescence to keep it. And Dirty Secrets used to fix bottles with resin, dont know about that large of a repair.
Have you tried putting you encrusted ceramic finds through the dishwasher? It can be quite surprising how much crud comes away without causing any damage to the pot.Lovw as always,Jo.xx
Some nice old treasures there! It's always the odd finds that are most intriguing... I'm interested in seeing more of Kate's home made watercolour paints 🤔 I've been doing lots of kintsugi type repairs, but with various mica pigment colours and epoxy resin / glue.
Oh my goodness! Nicola White just found another broken onion bottle and put it back together. She said it was starting to flake off and she sprayed something on it but I don't remember what she said she used😋 Her older ones still look beautiful. Fleur your bottle is so very pretty! ❤
I hope you picked the blackberries they make a delicious cobbler.I hope you keep the highly iridescent bottle. The top is perfect so cool don't change it.
You always find the most interesting treasures! Brilliant bottle the iridescence is amazing! Is there away to glaze it to keep those colors? Fantastic finds. The history of the button was fascinating thanks! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
My favorite things you find are the adorable paint pans and goobies..it's so nice you found two pans and that lovely vase..do it up in silver leafing..would be stunning! Much love
Hello from clinton Utah .USA I absolutely love watching you two lovely ladies! You make a guy want to do some mud larking .keep up the excellent content!
Great finds ladies, those paint pans would look good for garden pots in the garden for the dolls house garden 🤷♀️🤷♀️ take care and thank you for sharing 👏🙏❤️
That bulb vase is one of the most amazingly beautiful things you have found, I was thinking silver leaf for it too. The RR button is however my favorite for sure being a Yank from the US.
I've been watching some other mudlarking channels and is it true that you need a permit to mudlark in the Thames? Do you guys live closed to that river?
I'm always so happy to see a new adventure, i just love listening to you both as you laugh and discuss the treasures you find. The iridescent vase ? you found is beautiful, I don't know if you would want to put a light coating of Lacquer on to preserve it, although it might make it to shiny. It does kind of remind me of a Christmas ornament too. Such a lovely place to wander, I could stay for hours 😊 Thank you for making my day ! 🥰🥰 xx
Fancy Kate finding another of the clay gun water pistols at the same dump!! The bottle is beautiful and I can understand you wanting to make it whole again. Can't wait to see it. Be careful you two when you are out and about. X
That bottle was magnificent. I'm so glad you brought that home. I'd like to see what you do with that little treasue. I was quite amazed at how well that button cleaned up so nicely too. X
Located at 1:37 I see what I think is usnea. It is a very powerful anti-biotic used as a tea once its been boiled for 10 minutes and allowed to steep another 10 minutes. Its very powerful used by the indians and i have used it for years. Its the light colored lichen with arms and a sucker foot holding it to the tree limb. To test it simply try to pull apart one of the arms. If as you stretch it slowly there is a thin elastic string in the inside then it is the correct one.
With the iridescent bottle, could you not make that into a bauble for a Christmas craft?! It would look gorgeous!
I thought this too!

Great finds ladies, those paint pots could they be used as kitchen sinks in a 1/24 scale kitchen?, tfs x Julie

Beautiful piano music in the back ground relaxing video whilst in bed thank you ❤
Love that mini onion bottle! Can’t wait to see it repaired! Nice day out ladies. 🌼
Kate has the cutest collection of overalls
Could you spray something on the bottles to keep the iridescence? 🌈
There is a clear resin that can be brushed on..that would bring out the different colors on the bottle.
I'm new here. It hurt me to watch you put some of those things back down. Ha ha You may have a bunch of something, but is a bunch enough? ha ha I enjoyed watching your adventure.
Could you use the paint pans for flower boxes in the doll house? Just a thought.
Love your videos,so peaceful and relaxing.
Do you ever see things in your videos that you missed whilst there?

You could alway bind wool or sting round the neck or nice silver string 😊
Looks like a small onion bottle. Love it.
Oh my goodness! Nicola White just found another broken onion bottle and put it back together. She said it was starting to flake off and she sprayed something on it but I don't remember what she said she used😋 Her older ones still look beautiful. Fleur your bottle is so very pretty! ❤

You could turn that round bottle upside-down and make it into a hot air baloon for the dolls.
They would like that.
I hope you picked the blackberries they make a delicious cobbler.I hope you keep the highly iridescent bottle. The top is perfect so cool don't change it.

I miss your garbage dump that you could walk to from your home. Thank you for this trip!
Fancy Kate finding another of the clay gun water pistols at the same dump!! The bottle is beautiful and I can understand you wanting to make it whole again. Can't wait to see it. Be careful you two when you are out and about. X
😃❤❤❤Very nice.
Love your videos but I had to keep looking away on this one! Fleur too often held her object so that it wasn't in focus causing discomfort in my eyes.
Nicola white uses hairspray to keep the iridescent finish from falling off.
That bottle was magnificent. I'm so glad you brought that home. I'd like to see what you do with that little treasue. I was quite amazed at how well that button cleaned up so nicely too. X
Thanks Ladies - love your channel! Can you please tell me what causes the iridescence?
Do you sell your crafts somewhere? I would love to buy that irredescent bottle when you put that beautiful gold rim on it.
I loved the iridescent bottle. So pretty. The history of the button was very interesting.
I would clean that beautiful luminescent Globe up and stand it upside down in my garden and make it a gazing ball

I adore you two! Making memories to last a lifetime!❤
I do like the Rough Rider button best and your mom's rounded object.
I would Love to see you repair the beautiful bottle, silver would be my choice but I’m sure what ever you use it will look fabulous x
Nice to see you🙂🍁🍂 Were those water pistols with a rubber bulb on that round end to squirt?
I love the iridescent bottle!! It has so many beautiful colors!
You can build a miniature world inside a suitably broken jar. 🥰
Where have y'all been? Missing the amazing finds!
Spray so the iridescent will stay ,other wise it will dry and start faking off.
Hi fleur and kate, the cotton reel ,couldn't you take it and sale it.Great finds.
You guys reject things no one else does. It mystifies mt that you even think of rejecting ink bottles and other pots in perfect condition
The sun is blazing down in Northern California today too!
Ask Nichol she will know how to keep the outside from flaking.
Lovely find's. The bottle is beautiful!
Could you spray that lovely broken bottle at 7:39 with clear spray to keep the iridescent look to it?
What is your other channel? I couldn't see it linked below
Book Ends for the water pistols maybe?
I was hoping you would keep the little cream pot and the ink bottle that was by it.
There is also a movie Rough Riders,is a western film.
You have found some nice things with promise.
Anyone else surprised that they didn't find any beads??
Those little guns would be cute as doll hands for a cowboy doll!
Couldnt bear to see that lid used as a digging tool! Who esle was cringing?
Can you show your way of "Kintsugi" on video some day?
Hello once again Kate. Hope you have a successful day.
What would a round bottle look like with a light inside? ,🤔
Nothing on the piece of metal? But very pretty bottle.
I could watch you both every day you are the best mudlarkers ever
Lovely video and very nice finds . X
A lovely surprise to watch xxx😊
Thank you for this great video🤩👍
The iridescent bottle is fabulous!
The bottle would look beautiful with a light inside if it!!

Short and sweet. Enjoyed a lot.
I wonder what twinkle lights would look like in the iridescent bottle
A good day out in the woods, and rewarding.
Do you go hunting everyday?
I like the idea of mending with gold.
? Please explain what is a sherd.
Lovely video as always ❤
