  • In this video my daughter and myself get to take a tour of the Phoenix Bass Boats factory and headquarters in Tennessee. It is amazing how many employees work here and all the hard work that goes into developing and making some of the best boats in the business. Thanks to everyone for showing us around and hope you guys enjoy seeing the headquarters as much as we did.

    This reminds me of a tour of the old Bumble Bee plant that I was fortunate to take in the early 2000's which, if I'm not mistaken, is in the same location. The amount of craftsmanship and "hands on" work done to produce a bass boat is mind boggling.

      With all of the different competitions in this part of the country at the moment. Rob Smith spoke about Lake Lanier, Santee Cooper and the introduction of striped bass (and white bass, striped bass hybrid fish). Into lakes in the south east. He was interviewed for episode 199 of Anchored Outdoors. Rob had guided for striper fishiing on fly rods. Catching striped bass up as high as thirty-five pound weight. Over twenty years. Rob explained how he recently gave up guiding for the species. As the lake Lanier fish were gone he explained.

    • @academicmailbox7798
      @academicmailbox7798 2 года назад

      Rob is featured in 'Das Boat' episode five on Meat Eater a while back. Fishing in Georgia. Using various kinds of tackle (recently he explained on the podcast he visited Brazill too to fish there). Discovering that the water had rose (January in 2022 I think), so high. He was disappointed. Because he went down to fly fish. And needed a bait casting rod in order to manage in those high water conditions. Rob is a very versatile angler though and understands a lot of the history. Of fishing in that part of Georgia, Carolina's and so on.

    In the BTL episode on Cherkokee lake, Bradley has this voice from the heavens thing. A mad echo. And Matt didn't seem to diagnose it on his end (even though Bradley mentions it to Matt early on). Matt does, 'ah no, it'll be fine'. Let's keep on keeping on. There were like two Bradley's talking at the same time. Spaced apart by about a quarter or a half a second. Very odd to listen to. It gave the talk about swim baits versus crank baits. An extra and added weight of importance. There was no echo on Matt's end. Which really made it sound. Like Matt was talking to some higher form of intelligence (like in that film where the scientist has to figure out a way, to translate what the aliens are saying).
