Tesla just needs to bite the bullet and offer a built-in heads-up display in the Model Y/3
As I’m watching this, I’m thinking a table (spreadsheet) of functions would be really useful to highlight the differences among the three displays.
Appreciate your comment.
I will try to improve the comparison video next time and include more virtual facts.
Thank you for watching and your great support!🙏😃
It is about personal preference. The integrated model looks like the S and X cluster and has the front facing camera as well, although you did not have it. The unit also has a little hood that gives some shade which helps block windshield direction glare and the vent redirection is clever.
The TesLogic style (not in this video but separately reviewed) is also very good. It provides a thorough data centric design and uses your cell phone as the display, which wirelessly charges at the same time. There is something for everyone and no "one size fits all" approach has to be accepted.
Agree, it’s definitely personal preference.
Thank you for watching and your great support!🙏😃
Hi. Is there any display which can show navigation without Carplay or Android Auto? Just more tactical view of the tesla navigation? Just like on tesla model X/S? I just don't want to have second navigation system in my car.
@@Leonidshishlov Not at the moment. Non of the aftermarket displays have that capability.
However I have suggested this function to Teslasy and hopefully they will try to implement this function in the future.

Can anyone with this 8.8 in screen measure it in mm for me please? I'm buying a screen protector for it and need to know what the dimensions for the glass part only. Thanks.

Do any of these instrument clusters allow to have more than one phone connected for apple car play? Obviously it will only have 1 connected at one time, but if wanting to switch over to another person’s phone, would there need to be a new pairing process each time? Or can you simply click on a setting and choose which phone (where there could be previously paired phones showing in a list)?
@@naomicoupe8842 Appreciate your comment.
You don’t have to go through the whole process again you just have to select Apple CarPlay function on the display and select previous pair device on you phone’s Bluetooth setting and it will connect to your phone again.

Once you find one that plays waze audio output through the car speakers then I'll buy one.
just set bluetooth to your phone audio for waze notifications
T8 display and 9.6” display output CarPlay audio to car’s speakers as well as Waze. You just have to setup Bluetooth audio output on your phone to the car.

Just dont buy these display from Tesery! My biggest mistake!
Bought the wrong version for a dashboard display, i purchased the intel, needed a amd version. So i ask for an exchange, my expense of course. They made the return process a pain, so i sucked it up and ordered the Amd version. Guess what, no android auto.....its just a display mimicing what is already displayed on the main screen......
They even proclaim it doesnt come with android auto! There pictures show android auto! Do not do business with these scammers. They will treat you like $H!T after they take your money!
Buy from amazon! The screen comes with both amd and intel connection! Larger screen and guess what...cheaper....yeah F U Tesery!
I was hoping T8 would have the blind spot warning like the dash one, sadly it doesn't.
Teslasy just sent out the latest software update on T8 with blind spot warning and optional graphic for Model Y.
I will try to release the update video soon.

After installation, I noticed there is a bug in the settings. The scroll wheel control is still on even when you turn it off. How do we fix this issue? Can the engineer send an OTA update to fix this?
Does the 3rd screen you show at 10 seconds in the video work with HiGHLAND model 3 2024+? I like this and see it on hannshow but it’s not listed under 2024+.

I am seriously considering the 8.8 inch for the Model 3 Highland I have on order but I am still a little worried about the air flow blockage. I actually like driving with the steering wheel set very low and was wondering if you could please share whether the screen blocks the air flow at all when the steering column is set all the way down. This is the only thing preventing my from going right ahead and buying it. Thanks in advance!
Since Model 3 highland air vent is a little lower than current model 3 air vent, the display might block a little more than what you see in my model 3.
Adjusting steering wheel lower will help since the display moves with the steering wheel.
Thank you for watching!

I see you came out with a T8 Pro which doesn't block airflow.
@@TerenceLi I don’t think T8 Pro Display is compatible with Model 3 highland as it has to attach to the dashboard but model 3 highland doesn’t have the same dashboard.

Thanks this was super helpful. I’m considering a 2nd hand M3 and all I really want to add is the missing speedometer in front of me - The T8 you chose looks hands down the tidiest, simplest, and least ugly 😆 for these modest needs - am I right?

You will see your mistakes once you Buy & Use a Tesla and then you will realize like I did and am having :
*Specifically when you pay 12K (previous price) to FSD. However, Tesla calls its "driving assistant" feature Autopilot or FSD but says it does not build self-driving vehicles and requires active supervision by the driver!!! 12K/OMG!. FSD software still has a lot of stupidity. *And the car won't have internet if you don't pay more $9.99/month then all features will be disabled indefinitely:((Live Traffic Visualization, Satellite View Map, Live Camera Sentry mode & Internet browser & ...!! ))
And it's also a lot of trouble every time you wait in line to charge your battery!

Which do you prefer between the Tesla’s T8 and the Tesstudio/Hansshow F9? My one concern with the T8 is that they state that they will resolve the conflict in using the right hand steering wheel scroll button with FSD in a coming software update… I’ve had a really bad experience with the F9, with Tesstudio shipping me two units by accident and both the wrong ones (for the older Model 3), both missing the front camera I paid for. Their support has been terrible. They’re extremely unresponsive. Is Teslasy better in that respect? In your experience if you pay for expedited shipping for Teslasy, will they really ship in 5 business days?
T8 has been great from my experience but my car is 2021 Model 3 so hopefully it’s the same with new Model 3.
Teslasy customer service are great so far. I don’t get a lot of complaints and they’re very responsive.
In my opinion T8 looks more OEM.
Thank you for watching and your great support!🙏😃
So much redundant feature overkill. Just give me the speed, speed limit, and blind spots.
Teslogic v2
I don't want to mount a phone om my dash.
Definitely 8.8.. But.. I dont like the plastic part.. Previous 6,9 display has it more OEM looking.. I mean plastic root under the screen its too narrow and looks a little bit weird
I think that plastic part helps lift the display up so you would see the whole display through the steering wheel.
But you won’t really see that part when you drive.

If all these accesories are connected to the OBD, can I install 2 accesories? e.g. the S3XY Knob and a screen instrument cluster?

Does installing any of these voids your warranty or causes a problem with Tesla service centers?
So far I never had any issue with Tesla service center with these displays in my car but if your car has any issue that Tesla service center may think that would be from the display. I would remove it before visiting service center. Because they might blame the third party parts for the issues even though it might not be from the display.

@@dadstoyscars Yup, if it could just be a press of a on/off button on the 8" display versus having to click on Car Settings, Click on the Connection system tray item, and then clicking the WiFi on/off switch. That would eliminate 3 clicks there.

Hello from Belgium, in one of your videos you presented a screen behind the steering wheel from TMA, I ordered and installed it, I requested to have the latest update 2024 but I remained without answers, if you have it can you send it to me cordially
Does the 8.8” (steering wheel mount) display notify you that a software update is available? If no, how do you know? I think you said earlier the Model Y graphics will be released in May. Is that correct? Also, hopefully that update adds US Speed Limit icons!

@dadstoyscars The tesstudio display with the speaker and top display vent need to add a firmware up date to get rid of the "READY" symbol since that is completely useless and add the "range" and "total mileage" fields to the bottom of the display. There is sooo much room to add that detail and removing useless features.
I assume for the OTA update, did you set the following wifi settings on your phone hotspot?
SSID = car
pw = 12345678
I believe the OTA update function works on the 8.9 inch display with the bottom air vent that is pretty similar to this 8.9 inch with the top air vent.
