It's ironic how people label nasty C a guy with two hits to be the hottest right now. Okay! it's debatable, but then u turn and say Cassper wants to be American when Nasty C cant even rap in an African language or sound like an African artist. Many of u guys are hypocrites and bandwagoners calm yourselves. All these guys are doing great. Support them with your wallets not your Envy.

This is just an embarrassment. We don't want to be American. We want to tell our own story through Hip Hop. Artists like these do not progress the culture, they keep it stagnant. Sway tried to get Cassper to talk purely about the South African rap game without any mention of America. He failed to detail important aspects such as how Hip Hop has shaped the consciousness of most of South African youth.

Consciousness is not an abstract thing.....it has context and in South Africa's reality....unemployment is a big problem. Despite his academic shortfalls, Cassper has used his musical talents to employ himself and turn his name into a business brand (music, clothing, endorsement deals, etc) which is respected globally. He is an inspiration to African kids through his music, business mind and overall resilient spirit that always strives to be heared and paid at that. His content represents his personality, his reality and vision....its not imprisoned by your biasness.

Great interview on many levels. Much as Cassper is African...he should not be boxed and stereotyped. He represent in some ways Africa and in some ways he's individual experience, dreams and personality. I can relate to an artist like him. One of the biggest problems facing South Africa is unemployment and Cassper is a living example of a young South African who rose above the economic reality and used his talents to create an independent music venture that has givine hope to other young South Africans like Tshego, Nadia, Major League DJs. S/O to Cassper....the Fresh Prince of Maftown. Motswako-Nation for life.
