im pretty sure the "corrupted" odd eyes are just now full moons instead of the crescents they used to be. probably because they were able to harness the full power of their odd eyes. also we know that oec can make colored smoke and since hyunjin was in oec but gave up her powers, she needs to use an incense to create her magic smoke. maybe the smoke can send messages or be a guide to whoever it comes in contact to. like chuu and gowon in hi high.

If they didn’t buy the piece, it may have been loaned out/rented. Also I think BBC took out a bunch of loans to fund the project as well.

someone already pointed this out on twitter but in ancient times (mainly in ancient china) during eclipses it was thought that dragons were trying to swallow the sun so they would beat very loud drums in order to scare the dragon away and stop the eclipse in jinsouls solo one of the lyrics is “For the sin of swallowing the sun” so olivia hye is trying to stop the eclipse/stop jinsoul?? also another neat fact olivia actually beats the drum exactly 12 times!!

there is a theory that all parts of loona mvs that are in black and white/monochrome take place on the other side of the möbius strip/the dream/shadow world. in a lot of the dance scenes you can see constant flashing from full colour to monochrome, which does look like lightning, but with the above theory in mind, it could mean that loona are either in both worlds/sides of the mobius (so the mobius has merged into one) or that loona are in one of the worlds and are trying to break into the other.
the eclipse being over and powering their odd eyes makes sense. the crescent shape is like the corona of the sun peeking behind the moon. but now that the moon is destroyed (olivia hye destroyed it) they are fully unleashed. while jinsoul and choerry seem to be in control, kim lip seems to be taken over by her odd eye as indicated by the linear lights behind her.
I think its interesting that Yeojin is shown to have two different coloured eyes when they have the whole Odd Eye thing. Makes it seem like something is happening to her.

what i noticed is kim lip and jinsoul became parallels in this MV - a ring behind/around them - light tubes scathered around them - standing on the altar
Some things I noticed: Haseul being “on fire” is a callback to the ending scene in So What where Olivia Hye finds a burning white feather on the ground= Haseul’s representative animal is a white bird. The scene with Jinsoul’s halo can also call back to her feature in Egoist where the words “Fallen Angel” were written in Chinese in the back with neon lights. Her line mentioning being “Devilous” can also tie into her being known as “the traitor” in the Loonaverse for having betrayed Vivi. Yeojin being in the “rain forest” scene also goes into the lore of her having become lost in the forests of Eden. Heejin’s scene with the planets is also reminiscent of her being the “god” of the LOONAverse since she’s the one that set it off and created it. The scene with the planets is kind of how God is depicted in Christianity, being a large celestial being in space. It’s also important to note how it’s the first members of each unit who’s first ever outfits are shown throughout the music video(Heejin’s yellow suit, Kim Lip’s odd eye uniform, Yves’s white dress). The scene with the eclipse and the hands in the background seem to be tied to Egoist. The same shot is used to depict Heejin and Olivia, but here it’s Kim Lip and Jinsoul. Heejin and Olivia are supposed to represent the beginning and the end, but it could be Kim Lip and Jinsoul trying to restore the order since Jinsoul was originally supposed to debut before Kim Lip(as teased on Everyday I Need You.) Yves mentions the pink or black grid, which is referencing Heejin and Olivia. The scenes with the red moon and Olivia being surrounded by fire are all references to So What where Olivia quite literally sets the moon on fire. This is just what I noticed, did I miss anything?
Let's not forget to mention the constant (but REALLY fast) black and white shots throughout the whole MV. Did they f up the timeline? Also as mentioned here Kim Lip's ring is "broken", I like to believe it's a reference to Jinsoul's solo MV with the neon blue bars since they seem to switch places here.

I always thought that was so random and as an older clown orbit, I have learned that I should never take any detail as random neither should I take them as cannon. some other observations: 1. choerry and jinsoul both have coloured rings, but kimlip (at 6:37) has coloured red sticks instead of a circle. this is also seen in the blue coloured sticks surrounding jinsoul in singing in the rain. 2. i also noticed that excluding Earth, im pretty sure there were 12 moons/planets/objects orbiting Heejin. Does this confirm her as the creator of the Loonaverse? 3. also, im pretty sure the back up dancers in the last chorus were wearing vivi's mask from so what as a headdress. vivi cult 2021 ??
heejin is the creator of the loonaverse, she wanted to bring more color into the world as you can see from the vivid mv. her original world of origin was eden. in the mv she is taking orders to clean the house from a higher power (most probably god) and she got bored with the monotonous nature of eden (often referred to as 'colorless world') and made the rest of the loonaverse, therefore committing a sin that caused her to get kicked out of eden however her seemingly normal, perfect universe was disturbed by the loop which caused the creation and assembly of the rest of loona in order to stop the loop somehow hope this made sense
The fire behind Haseul looks like wings, which makes sense cuz her representative animal is a white bird. But maybe fire wings represent her white bird becoming more of a phoenix. So maybe her hiatus is being explained as her dying to be reborn from the ashes even stronger(since her fire powers), just like a phoenix.
Anybody else pick up that when Choerry says "we about to" right as it goes into the chorus It's similar to when she ate the fruit in her solo mv and it changes to the dark purple color. It's like they gave her the center position on purpose just for that part :O Also, you missed Jin Soul's wink at 6:44
I think it symbolizes them like, coming into contact with each other? Or having access to each other's worlds, since OEC can travel between worlds and jinsoul takes kim lip's place at the end
That is Kim Lip's doors. The lyrics mentions 12 doors and 12 eyes. So each dood represents them entering their temple. In the song, they said that the door must be kept open for they may need to meet again. For other details, please see my other comment.
As you can see in olivia scene as well, only 1 door is opened.. So when it's a solo scene, it's only 1 door opened and when they are complete like in the dance scene all of the 12 doors are opened which represents them gathering together
my theory: (alot of references to the "&" album cover photo) the main disagreement is between yves and heejin cuz heejin created the loonaverse and yves wants to be in charge of things and make her own destiny (thats why she is collecting allies to turn against heejin, starting with escaping eden with yyxy), most theories say heejin gave oec their powers which makes sense cuz she has the same powers as a demigod. i think yves also has similar powers cuz shes traveling through space and universes in many mvs. what if yves gave jinsoul waterbending and gave kimlip power to control the black hole so that they would betray heejin? in the album photo we see the picture split in two- blue and red. heejin is on the red side and yves is on the blue. jinsoul is on blue with yves, and kimlip is also there but is wearing RED, meaning she might be playing a double agent for heejin. that would be the reason for the two hands frame- someone here said it looks exactly like the shot in egoist mv of yves letting go of olivia hye's hand and betraying her. i think kimlip betrayed jinsoul and left her in the black hole she was bending. in the same photo chuu is seen next to heejin instead of yves, and her cheeks are kissed by heejin (they said it in the photoshoot video). we also know chuu's representative emotion is love and it made her escape eden before because of yves, so i think heejin and chuu are being "close friends" lol and it made chuu turn on yves too. so basically alot of betrayal (and hyejoo is in the middle of the picture cuz shes just tired of everyone's drama) ty if u read so far
I don't know if anyones mentioned this yet, but for version a of the & cover, the colours of the background curtain are red and blue which could be related to jinsoul and kim lip reaching hands. Also on the cover jinsoul and kim lip stand together wearing their colours with hyunjin in the middle of them wearing a sort of purple dress while choerry is wearing a yellow suit

i saw other details myself or on twitter so im just gonna say it here: -Olivia hit the drum 12 times -During the loona premier greeting, Heejin has a loonaverse book (bbc release it please) and she talks about the moon being the satellite of the earth EXEPT once every 100 years i think (maybe we can find hints in the song Satellite???) -In the loona teaser &3, you can notice that 6 of the girls (hyunjin, kim lip, jinsoul, choerry, chuu and olivia) have their representave color as background while 4 others (heejin, vivi, yves and gowon) have colorless/grey and white background. Yeojin and Haseul have switched their color so maybe they are related as we can also see in the Hi High music video
I think the halos mean that the odd eye still hasn't reach full activation and once they break they gain more powers which might explain how their odd eyes started looking different since Lippie's broke. A new power might be for them to grant odd eyes to other members which might explain why Haseul controls fire, Yeojin has different colored eyes and why there was an emphasis on Heejin's eyes.
gowon and vivi were together at the end of star MV and now at this song, vivi has a cool tone and gowon a warm one during their part, which are opposites, just like the star mv but vivi had a warm hair against gowon's blue hair Don't even know if this means something but at least you know it now :D hope this is important in the loonaverse and they get at least some important shi-

All that fire thing with Haseul made me think of "So What" MV, with that omninous "burn yourself", Olivia holding fire then throwing it, and the white feather burning but reappearing. And now we have Haseul in a feathery outfit, playing with fire and having burning wings in the background. So cool.
9:49 in that yeojin's scence, it represent welcoming haseul back! It has green setting and all, but the flowers in that scence is laceleaf, it means hospitality, stable and patient love
2:39 if you pause at the right moment, you can see purple, blue, yellow, and either a pink/red book scattered on the floor blue, yellow and maybe red definitely symbolizes oec + hyunjin the pink could symbolize heejin since she's the only other one with solo screentime in this corridor (excluding gowon's "uhuh")
Oh Gowon isn't winking on purpose. Whenever she dances really hard her eye will start to close up. She just does it and it's so cute. I also love how many practical effects BBC does with these videos. It's more expensive but it does make up for it in quality.

My contribution to the theory: after burning the moon, they're creating a new world to live on (or is it the moon itself?); olivia hye invocating idk what with her drums, heejin placing the planets, respective animals, Kim Lip mastering everything and then we got the 4 elements (hyunjin, chuu, haseul, Yves). Interesting how Yves (and choerry?) stole Jinsoul's control of water. Maybe that's why she was left behind?
Some stuff to note 2:18 - The ceiling actually is still tattered. It's just tattered on almost half of the circle of the ceiling and pristine on the other half. The shot is taken such that u only see the non-tattered part of the ceiling and you can tell because there's some bits hanging there on the top border of the frame. Pillars are whole and the setting is rather bright. 2:29 - Now you get a larger shot of the venue and you can clearly see the ceiling. Setting is more dark and gloomy with a circle of fire surrounding Olivia who is banging on the drum. Yup it’s Jinsoul, her hair is blue. It’s confirmed in the behind the scenes video. Can also confirm that it’s on the moon. For 4:39 - it is a halo, but similar to how halos are depicted in Christian paintings.

I believe that Paint the Town is the sequel to So What. Thematically, it makes sense. Olivia burns the moon to signal liberation from social norms - some examples include Yeojin throwing her backpack to defy going to school and Vivi being a badass spray painter. The oppressors are clearly pissed and so they go to war with Loona hence the events in Paint the Town where it looks like they are fighting. Also, at the end of So Why we see HaSeul's feather on fire. If this was a TV series, it makes sense for the next episode to reference it hence all the fire+feather motif with Haseul. Further insinuating that Paint the Town happened after So What. Loona appears to have won the war but at a great cost, their sanctuary (the Butterfly temple) is destroyed and nothing significant happened as a result of the war in this time. Here's where I'm a little confused. The individual scenes where Hyunjin, Chuu and Olivia in the temple can symbolize them trying to correct the timeline. At least in the scene for Hyunjin and Olivia, there are collapsed pillars and it's clearly been destroyed. Hyunjin trying to re-activate her lost Odd Eye by channeling smoke and Olivia performing some form of ritual/tribute. Not too sure about Chuu. But either way, their efforts are futile and Kim Lip knows the only way to correct all the wrongdoings of their current timeline is to destroy it with a blackhole and restart the Loonaverse. Another theory could be that Kim Lip with her ability to run fast can essentially time travel. That's why she sings the lyrics about needing to keep the door open and in her scene/Jinsoul's scene/Hyunjin's scene, you can see at least a door open which could signal Kim Lip spying on them. Maybe she sees that as a result of them destroying the dark side of the moon, it separated the members again (could be a reason why Olivia, Hyunjin and Chuu are separate but still at the exact same location all performing some kind of ritual). But Kim Lip knows it's impossible or probably even more difficult to reunite members in this current timeline. She knows the best way to reunite everyone is to destroy this timeline, rewind the tapes/Mobius trip and start all over again from Hi High. Because at least this way, she knows that they CAN reunite versus them being stuck in a messed up timeline. Either way, Loonaverse is destroyed by Kim Lip. But instead of starting over from Hi High, something went wrong and we enter into Why Not era. Some scenes that stuck out to me in Why Not to prove this include: 1) The post-apocalyptic feel of the MV -> them dancing in an empty supermarket, Yeojin lost but with POWERS? Also makes sense for her to go black hair bop to brown hair bop. I always thought it was the aftermath of So What but makes more sense for Paint the Town since they are fought a war. 2) Different subgroups seem to have formed, likely as a result of a messed-up timeline. 3) Kim Lip confused af with three white orbs. Maybe she lost her powers. But somehow regains them. Or she gains another kind of power. 4) Hyunjin ending the MV -> Kim Lip lost her power which awakened Hyunjin's? Or she lost her shoe again because the Why Not era is an error as a result of Kim Lip's blackhole. 5) When the small subgroup was dancing on the moon and there were other planets orbiting them which reminded me of Heejin with the moon's orbiting her. Specifically, there was a pink one that caught my attention. Maybe those moons survived the black hole and are trying to reunite the girls 6) There were 0 (or almost 0) group choreo shots... because they're separated/Why Not era is an error. Throughout Paint the Town, Kim Lip is seen with a broken Odd Eye halo (like she's ready to rebel, AKA: destroy the Loonaverse). She also appears to be communicating with Jinsoul which could be why she ended the MV taking Kim Lip's place. The Chuu petal at the end of the MV could be the aftermath of Kim Lip's blackhole. She told Jinsoul to teleport and hide so she can monitor the effects of her destroying the Loonaverse in this timeline. I'm trying to figure out Choerry's significance to the lore. Her scene with the bubbles makes me think that she teleported the bubbles to Yves. But why? Maybe to give Yves powers (since she's the one to defy Eden first) so she can try to correct the current timeline or maybe she needs to escape Eden again. Either way, super interesting that Choerry was the one that opened a portal to the war in the chorus. Another observation in PTT, they mostly wore white dresses in the intact temple but only at the end do we see them in the black outfits dancing in the temple.
Don’t quote me on this but I’m pretty sure I saw somewhere that Gowon has a little quirk that when she puts enough power into her dance, her eye squints so that’s why she looks like she’s winking ;)
Also I think For Jinsouls blue halo, it might also refer to the fallen angel neon sign behind Jinsoul in Olivias Egoist video The flag mounds being explained by Loona wrecking some idiots is my fav explanation for them lmaoo
In terms of the lighting, there is that scene where the light is orbiting them when they're dancing, but in other scenes such as with chuu and hyejoo, the light is always coming out of the same single hallway Also about the hallway as in the set, there's a chandelier there maybe to represent gowons one and only mv, and there are also lots mirrors to represent choerry. She also teleports in and out of the hallway, maybe the hallway is not eden and it's an important place where the members need to be, or it could simply represent choerry teleporting into eden to give gowon the apple. Maybe this could be a representation of the looping nature of the loonaverse Finally haseul has the green neon light behind her. We see the neon light with the other oec members, so maybe it's a reference to haseul possibly having an odd eye now

the scene with heejin and the planets around her its the rotation of the planets but in the pespective of the moon, like heejin is literally the moon (chuu too on the scene after, they are all the moon), thats why in the end during the dance scene theres a lighting revolving the set throwing shadows at it, bc its the shadows the planets are throwing in the moon due to the rotation

Thank you so much for your work! Just a few things to consider: 1. HaSeul's went from an unespecified bird to a phoenix by burning herself and showing the hidden side, accepting that which she couldn't in let me in; 2. The level of degradation of the ceiling may be indicative of the MV's timeline; 3.1 The "corrupted eye" kim lip shows looks like the blood moon to me, the moon during a full lunar eclipse; 3.2 A solar eclipse also produces a halo; 3.3 The lyrics refer to eclipses. This is completely baseless so please take this with a grain of salt. It seems the OEC girls' eyes are becoming corrupted, and then they don't have them at the end. Theory time! I collected whilst reading on Twitter and Reddit, credit to the rightful theorbits, just sharing it up with guys. OEC's original members are Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Yves, and Hyunjin. Yves left the middle earth to join the girls in Eden, (cause she's the most rebellious one, her power including mostly got to do with time manipulation. Accelerating, slowing, stopping and even rewinding or looping (Why Not MV shows Yves stopping time and items floating mid-air whenever she's been to). Lip and Yves were conflicted as both are the dominant heads, and Yves stole Lip's tape player (Lip's power item) in Yves new MV for her to be able to see Vivi (her love interest on earth) cause Vivi have her tapes (EILY mv), I'm guessing they can somehow visit each other with the tape as a median since the girl who was suppose to inter-dimensional travels has already left the OEC unit, *yup, it's Hyunjin. Yves decided to leave Middle Earth and OEC, and ascended to Eden. Making OEC, a 2-member group and desperate to complete the unit, Jinsoul recruited earth girl, Choerry. Choerry is just a typical girl on Earth having usual summer with fellow friends Haseul and Yeojin (LCM MV). When Jinsoul lured Choerry into eating the cherry, she was recruited to OEC. (Hence her odd eye is on her right eye) and gaining the ability to travel inter-dimensionals like Hyunjin. Knowing Jinsoul recruited Choerry to replace her, Yves personally meet Choerry to give her apple so she can visit Yves in Eden (One & Only MV) probably leading Choerry to leave OEC and join her in Eden. That you can see a bowl of cherries in One and Only MV, my best bet was that dining table was set by Yves herself, when she wants Gowon to join her to leave Eden. Jinsoul influenced Ohye to go against Yves rules and descend from Eden and kill Vivi (cause Vivi was Yves' love interest on earth). In Egoist, OHye burns basically everything that involves Yves, the duckling toy, YYXY outfit, in rebellion against Yves leadership *heavily influenced by Jinsoul (as an act of revenge cause Yves left middle earth). While Vivi was resurrected by LOONA 1/3 as an android back on earth. In Egoist, OHye met Heejin the girl from the earth and the one who gave colors to all the girls except OHye, as her representative color is Silver/Grey. (more story open for discussion) In Why Not, we can see, the 2 OEC girls Lip and Jinsoul enhanced their ability when OHye burnt the moon. Lip can float/fly and Jinsoul can control the water/weather. And we're here in PTT, which basically takes place in middle earth to be more specific, Kim Lip's moon (red lighting everywhere), and how her home-moon was destroyed by the oppressors (the backup dancers in spears). At the end of PTT, we see Jinsoul (probably gonna get Jinsoul's origin story) on her blue moon in the next comeback.
The theory with Yves being in OEC made me think of the sentence Choerry said: "Yves exist because of me and I exist because of Yves." Also they had their first meeting in the one cinema theory teaser (I hope u know which one I'm referring to XD), or is it a reunion? Choerry is officially an earth girl as we know but can connect to all sides of the Möbius stripe. I'm still not sure how Yves can travel, all we know is that she could escape eden and landed maybe in the OEC world? Did she meet there with Choerry the first time? Also like seemly Yves counterpart Jinsoul, Yves gave Choerry a fruit. But this time an apple. Are fruits Yves method of manipulating people? She could manipulate Chuu whrn she bit in a green apple, maybe Choerry as well? Also in why not maybe Vivi is so desperate in finding Yves she is hallucinating and sees the apples around her. Yves was in the girl in Loonatic. Did she stole the cassette player there? Was she able from there on to travel to Vivi? Hyunjins countepart is Choerry. Choerry might have been a member of 1/3 first (think of the Love&Live performance without Hyunjin but her that also was released in the cinema theory video). So they switched places. Hyunjin wore OEC clothes in Girl front and Yves in Loonatic. Your theory makes much sense :D

if you pay attention, Jinsoul has that blue circle behind her, Choerry has the purple circle around her (which reminded me rn the why not mv, where she is kinda trapped inside a purple square with fire, squares are 1/3 thing and now we discovery that Haseul is playing with fire...) and kim lip appears to be literally inside the red circle thing, because we can't see it and her scenes are all red. Could mean something. 2) during chorus, all 20 spears were pointed at them 3) there 12 moons + earth orbiting heejin (3 bronze, 2 grey, 2 blue, 2 pink, 1 fade pink, and 2 dark blue with white stripes) 4) In kimlip solo scene during the bridge, there are no spears, or more like the spears are broken? 5) in kimlip intro and jinsoul ending scene, light shines from the 6th curtain and the 9th curtain (anticlockwise). Maybe has something to do with kimlip and yves? 😳 Also i feel like yves wearing denim could mean something, bcoz it is a signature outift of OEC members. I was thinking, what relation do Kim Lip, Yves and Go Won have? Was there any other scene where only a part of the girls are dancing together? I thought this might somehow be an OEC reference - Yves and JinSoul were paired in the teasers (and Yves was doing waterbending!), and GoWon is Hyunjin's mirror, who is Choerry's twin (we also saw Choerry switched with GoWon dancing in Why Not with the other three yyxy girls). With Kim Lip, is that some kind of parallel image of OEC?
Legend has it Hyejoo is still banging on that drum. Not sure if its lore but starting from 10:40, Heejin is is the only member lipping HaSeul's and Chuu's lines. Another thing is the planets are orbiting Heejin, she took her position as center quite literally. Being the center of our solar system.

im pretty sure the "corrupted" odd eyes are just now full moons instead of the crescents they used to be. probably because they were able to harness the full power of their odd eyes. also we know that oec can make colored smoke and since hyunjin was in oec but gave up her powers, she needs to use an incense to create her magic smoke. maybe the smoke can send messages or be a guide to whoever it comes in contact to. like chuu and gowon in hi high.

there is a theory that all parts of loona mvs that are in black and white/monochrome take place on the other side of the möbius strip/the dream/shadow world. in a lot of the dance scenes you can see constant flashing from full colour to monochrome, which does look like lightning, but with the above theory in mind, it could mean that loona are either in both worlds/sides of the mobius (so the mobius has merged into one) or that loona are in one of the worlds and are trying to break into the other.
that might also be what they refer to as the dark side of the moon idk

the eclipse being over and powering their odd eyes makes sense. the crescent shape is like the corona of the sun peeking behind the moon. but now that the moon is destroyed (olivia hye destroyed it) they are fully unleashed. while jinsoul and choerry seem to be in control, kim lip seems to be taken over by her odd eye as indicated by the linear lights behind her.
I think its interesting that Yeojin is shown to have two different coloured eyes when they have the whole Odd Eye thing. Makes it seem like something is happening to her.

no really, why not seemed to imply some sort of connection between yeojin (grocery store, neon bars, floating cans) and jinsoul (basement, neon bars, cans in egoist)-- maybe jinsoul stole kim lip's odd eye to keep her from going out of control, and is giving it to yeojin?

Some things I noticed:
Haseul being “on fire” is a callback to the ending scene in So What where Olivia Hye finds a burning white feather on the ground= Haseul’s representative animal is a white bird.
The scene with Jinsoul’s halo can also call back to her feature in Egoist where the words “Fallen Angel” were written in Chinese in the back with neon lights. Her line mentioning being “Devilous” can also tie into her being known as “the traitor” in the Loonaverse for having betrayed Vivi.
Yeojin being in the “rain forest” scene also goes into the lore of her having become lost in the forests of Eden.
Heejin’s scene with the planets is also reminiscent of her being the “god” of the LOONAverse since she’s the one that set it off and created it. The scene with the planets is kind of how God is depicted in Christianity, being a large celestial being in space.
It’s also important to note how it’s the first members of each unit who’s first ever outfits are shown throughout the music video(Heejin’s yellow suit, Kim Lip’s odd eye uniform, Yves’s white dress).
The scene with the eclipse and the hands in the background seem to be tied to Egoist. The same shot is used to depict Heejin and Olivia, but here it’s Kim Lip and Jinsoul. Heejin and Olivia are supposed to represent the beginning and the end, but it could be Kim Lip and Jinsoul trying to restore the order since Jinsoul was originally supposed to debut before Kim Lip(as teased on Everyday I Need You.)
Yves mentions the pink or black grid, which is referencing Heejin and Olivia.
The scenes with the red moon and Olivia being surrounded by fire are all references to So What where Olivia quite literally sets the moon on fire.

I always thought that was so random and as an older clown orbit, I have learned that I should never take any detail as random neither should I take them as cannon. 1. choerry and jinsoul both have coloured rings, but kimlip (at 6:37) has coloured red sticks instead of a circle. this is also seen in the blue coloured sticks surrounding jinsoul in singing in the rain.
2. i also noticed that excluding Earth, im pretty sure there were 12 moons/planets/objects orbiting Heejin. Does this confirm her as the creator of the Loonaverse?
3. also, im pretty sure the back up dancers in the last chorus were wearing vivi's mask from so what as a headdress. vivi cult 2021 ??

heejin is the creator of the loonaverse, she wanted to bring more color into the world as you can see from the vivid mv. her original world of origin was eden. in the mv she is taking orders to clean the house from a higher power (most probably god) and she got bored with the monotonous nature of eden (often referred to as 'colorless world') and made the rest of the loonaverse, therefore committing a sin that caused her to get kicked out of eden
however her seemingly normal, perfect universe was disturbed by the loop which caused the creation and assembly of the rest of loona in order to stop the loop somehow

That is Kim Lip's doors. The lyrics mentions 12 doors and 12 eyes. So each dood represents them entering their temple. In the song, they said that the door must be kept open for they may need to meet again. For other details, please see my other comment.

As you can see in olivia scene as well, only 1 door is opened.. So when it's a solo scene, it's only 1 door opened and when they are complete like in the dance scene all of the 12 doors are opened which represents them gathering together
my theory: (alot of references to the "&" album cover photo) the main disagreement is between yves and heejin cuz heejin created the loonaverse and yves wants to be in charge of things and make her own destiny (thats why she is collecting allies to turn against heejin, starting with escaping eden with yyxy), most theories say heejin gave oec their powers which makes sense cuz she has the same powers as a demigod. i think yves also has similar powers cuz shes traveling through space and universes in many mvs. what if yves gave jinsoul waterbending and gave kimlip power to control the black hole so that they would betray heejin? in the album photo we see the picture split in two- blue and red. heejin is on the red side and yves is on the blue. jinsoul is on blue with yves, and kimlip is also there but is wearing RED, meaning she might be playing a double agent for heejin. that would be the reason for the two hands frame- someone here said it looks exactly like the shot in egoist mv of yves letting go of olivia hye's hand and betraying her. i think kimlip betrayed jinsoul and left her in the black hole she was bending. in the same photo chuu is seen next to heejin instead of yves, and her cheeks are kissed by heejin (they said it in the photoshoot video). we also know chuu's representative emotion is love and it made her escape eden before because of yves, so i think heejin and chuu are being "close friends" lol and it made chuu turn on yves too. so basically alot of betrayal (and hyejoo is in the middle of the picture cuz shes just tired of everyone's drama) ty if u read so far

I don't know if anyones mentioned this yet, but for version a of the & cover, the colours of the background curtain are red and blue which could be related to jinsoul and kim lip reaching hands. Also on the cover jinsoul and kim lip stand together wearing their colours with hyunjin in the middle of them wearing a sort of purple dress while choerry is wearing a yellow suit
It makes more sense that in the final scene with jinsoul it's a flower petal, but maybe it could be one of gowons butterflies too? Highly unlikely, just that was what I thought it was when I first saw it

i saw other details myself or on twitter so im just gonna say it here:
-Olivia hit the drum 12 times
-During the loona premier greeting, Heejin has a loonaverse book (bbc release it please) and she talks about the moon being the satellite of the earth EXEPT once every 100 years i think (maybe we can find hints in the song Satellite???)
-In the loona teaser &3, you can notice that 6 of the girls (hyunjin, kim lip, jinsoul, choerry, chuu and olivia) have their representave color as background while 4 others (heejin, vivi, yves and gowon) have colorless/grey and white background. Yeojin and Haseul have switched their color so maybe they are related as we can also see in the Hi High music video
I think the halos mean that the odd eye still hasn't reach full activation and once they break they gain more powers which might explain how their odd eyes started looking different since Lippie's broke. A new power might be for them to grant odd eyes to other members which might explain why Haseul controls fire, Yeojin has different colored eyes and why there was an emphasis on Heejin's eyes.

Oh Gowon isn't winking on purpose. Whenever she dances really hard her eye will start to close up. She just does it and it's so cute. I also love how many practical effects BBC does with these videos. It's more expensive but it does make up for it in quality.

My contribution to the theory: after burning the moon, they're creating a new world to live on (or is it the moon itself?); olivia hye invocating idk what with her drums, heejin placing the planets, respective animals, Kim Lip mastering everything and then we got the 4 elements (hyunjin, chuu, haseul, Yves). Interesting how Yves (and choerry?) stole Jinsoul's control of water. Maybe that's why she was left behind?

Some stuff to note
2:18 - The ceiling actually is still tattered. It's just tattered on almost half of the circle of the ceiling and pristine on the other half. The shot is taken such that u only see the non-tattered part of the ceiling and you can tell because there's some bits hanging there on the top border of the frame. Pillars are whole and the setting is rather bright.
2:29 - Now you get a larger shot of the venue and you can clearly see the ceiling. Setting is more dark and gloomy with a circle of fire surrounding Olivia who is banging on the drum. Pillars are noticeable crumbled and broken at the bottom.
3:22 - Does anyone find Yves' outfit here reminiscent of Hi High? And noticeable set apart from Go Won and Kimlip? No? Just me?

I believe that Paint the Town is the sequel to So What. Thematically, it makes sense. Olivia burns the moon to signal liberation from social norms - some examples include Yeojin throwing her backpack to defy going to school and Vivi being a badass spray painter. The oppressors are clearly pissed and so they go to war with Loona hence the events in Paint the Town where it looks like they are fighting. Also, at the end of So Why we see HaSeul's feather on fire. If this was a TV series, it makes sense for the next episode to reference it hence all the fire+feather motif with Haseul. Further insinuating that Paint the Town happened after So What. Loona appears to have won the war but at a great cost, their sanctuary (the Butterfly temple) is destroyed and nothing significant happened as a result of the war in this time.
Here's where I'm a little confused. The individual scenes where Hyunjin, Chuu and Olivia in the temple can symbolize them trying to correct the timeline. At least in the scene for Hyunjin and Olivia, there are collapsed pillars and it's clearly been destroyed. Hyunjin trying to re-activate her lost Odd Eye by channeling smoke and Olivia performing some form of ritual/tribute. Not too sure about Chuu. But either way, their efforts are futile and Kim Lip knows the only way to correct all the wrongdoings of their current timeline is to destroy it with a blackhole and restart the Loonaverse.
Another theory could be that Kim Lip with her ability to run fast can essentially time travel. That's why she sings the lyrics about needing to keep the door open and in her scene/Jinsoul's scene/Hyunjin's scene, you can see at least a door open which could signal Kim Lip spying on them. Maybe she sees that as a result of them destroying the dark side of the moon, it separated the members again (could be a reason why Olivia, Hyunjin and Chuu are separate but still at the exact same location all performing some kind of ritual). But Kim Lip knows it's impossible or probably even more difficult to reunite members in this current timeline. She knows the best way to reunite everyone is to destroy this timeline, rewind the tapes/Mobius trip and start all over again from Hi High. Because at least this way, she knows that they CAN reunite versus them being stuck in a messed up timeline.
Either way, Loonaverse is destroyed by Kim Lip. But instead of starting over from Hi High, something went wrong and we enter into Why Not era. Some scenes that stuck out to me in Why Not to prove this include:
1) The post-apocalyptic feel of the MV -> them dancing in an empty supermarket, Yeojin lost but with POWERS? Also makes sense for her to go black hair bop to brown hair bop. I always thought it was the aftermath of So What but makes more sense for Paint the Town since they are fought a war.
2) Different subgroups seem to have formed, likely as a result of a messed-up timeline.
3) Kim Lip confused af with three white orbs. Maybe she lost her powers. But somehow regains them. Or she gains another kind of power.
4) Hyunjin ending the MV -> Kim Lip lost her power which awakened Hyunjin's? Or she lost her shoe again because the Why Not era is an error as a result of Kim Lip's blackhole.
5) When the small subgroup was dancing on the moon and there were other planets orbiting them which reminded me of Heejin with the moon's orbiting her. Specifically, there was a pink one that caught my attention. Maybe those moons survived the black hole and are trying to reunite the girls
6) There were 0 (or almost 0) group choreo shots... because they're separated/Why Not era is an error.
Throughout Paint the Town, Kim Lip is seen with a broken Odd Eye halo (like she's ready to rebel, AKA: destroy the Loonaverse). She also appears to be communicating with Jinsoul which could be why she ended the MV taking Kim Lip's place. The Chuu petal at the end of the MV could be the aftermath of Kim Lip's blackhole. She told Jinsoul to teleport and hide so she can monitor the effects of her destroying the Loonaverse in this timeline.
I'm trying to figure out Choerry's significance to the lore. Her scene with the bubbles makes me think that she teleported the bubbles to Yves. But why? Maybe to give Yves powers (since she's the one to defy Eden first) so she can try to correct the current timeline or maybe she needs to escape Eden again. Either way, super interesting that Choerry was the one that opened a portal to the war in the chorus.
Another observation in PTT, they mostly wore white dresses in the intact temple but only at the end do we see them in the black outfits dancing in the temple.

In terms of the lighting, there is that scene where the light is orbiting them when they're dancing, but in other scenes such as with chuu and hyejoo, the light is always coming out of the same single hallway
Also about the hallway as in the set, there's a chandelier there maybe to represent gowons one and only mv, and there are also lots mirrors to represent choerry. She also teleports in and out of the hallway, maybe the hallway is not eden and it's an important place where the members need to be, or it could simply represent choerry teleporting into eden to give gowon the apple. Maybe this could be a representation of the looping nature of the loonaverse
Finally haseul has the green neon light behind her. We see the neon light with the other oec members, so maybe it's a reference to haseul possibly having an odd eye now

the scene with heejin and the planets around her its the rotation of the planets but in the pespective of the moon, like heejin is literally the moon (chuu too on the scene after, they are all the moon), thats why in the end during the dance scene theres a lighting revolving the set throwing shadows at it, bc its the shadows the planets are throwing in the moon due to the rotation
"According to a legend, one night the moon descended from the sky to the earth, unfortunately it became entangled between the branches of a tree. ... The moon stole the shadow from the wolf so that he would never forget it and from that moment all the wolves howl the full moon days, asking him to return the shadow of that wolf." Idk but this makes a lot of sense to me...Heejin is the moon, Olivia the wolf, Chuu could be the earth and the "shadow that was stolen", one of the other members (I can't remember who I thought it was lmao). Obviously there's a lot more to the story, idk, maybe Olivia in revenge burned Heejin and that somehow caused OEC odd eyes to enhance(?) their power or something?

2. The level of degradation of the ceiling may be indicative of the MV's timeline;
3.1 The "corrupted eye" kim lip shows looks like the blood moon to me, the moon during a full lunar eclipse;
3.2 A solar eclipse also produces a halo;
3.3 The lyrics refer to eclipses.

This is completely baseless so please take this with a grain of salt. It seems the OEC girls' eyes are becoming corrupted, and then they don't have them at the end. What if they failed in their mission and things reset with new "odd eyed" girls. It was just interesting to me that
1. Hyunjin was surrounded in yellow smoke (1/3 weren't focused on their colors, OEC was)
2. Heejin gets a close up with pixilated eyes. Her eyes are focused on a lot
3. ViVi now has an eye covering, like Jinsoul used to-

Did you noticed after yves screamed " we're about to paint the town " at the 2nd chorus, the bright temple goes dark (especially just the left side of the temple but idk) and their outfits changed to black since then?
Theory time! I collected whilst reading on Twitter and Reddit, credit to the rightful theorbits, just sharing it up with guys.
OEC's original members are Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Yves, and Hyunjin. Yves left the middle earth to join the girls in Eden, (cause she's the most rebellious one, her power including mostly got to do with time manipulation. Accelerating, slowing, stopping and even rewinding or looping (Why Not MV shows Yves stopping time and items floating mid-air whenever she's been to).
Lip and Yves were conflicted as both are the dominant heads, and Yves stole Lip's tape player (Lip's power item) in Yves new MV for her to be able to see Vivi (her love interest on earth) cause Vivi have her tapes (EILY mv), I'm guessing they can somehow visit each other with the tape as a median since the girl who was suppose to inter-dimensional travels has already left the OEC unit, *yup, it's Hyunjin.
Yves decided to leave Middle Earth and OEC, and ascended to Eden. Making OEC, a 2-member group and desperate to complete the unit, Jinsoul recruited earth girl, Choerry. Choerry is just a typical girl on Earth having usual summer with fellow friends Haseul and Yeojin (LCM MV). When Jinsoul lured Choerry into eating the cherry, she was recruited to OEC. (Hence her odd eye is on her right eye) and gaining the ability to travel inter-dimensionals like Hyunjin.
Knowing Jinsoul recruited Choerry to replace her, Yves personally meet Choerry to give her apple so she can visit Yves in Eden (One & Only MV) probably leading Choerry to leave OEC and join her in Eden. That you can see a bowl of cherries in One and Only MV, my best bet was that dining table was set by Yves herself, when she wants Gowon to join her to leave Eden. Jinsoul influenced Ohye to go against Yves rules and descend from Eden and kill Vivi (cause Vivi was Yves' love interest on earth). In Egoist, OHye burns basically everything that involves Yves, the duckling toy, YYXY outfit, in rebellion against Yves leadership *heavily influenced by Jinsoul (as an act of revenge cause Yves left middle earth).
While Vivi was resurrected by LOONA 1/3 as an android back on earth. In Egoist, OHye met Heejin the girl from the earth and the one who gave colors to all the girls except OHye, as her representative color is Silver/Grey. (more story open for discussion)
In Why Not, we can see, the 2 OEC girls Lip and Jinsoul enhanced their ability when OHye burnt the moon. Lip can float/fly and Jinsoul can control the water/weather. And we're here in PTT, which basically takes place in middle earth to be more specific, Kim Lip's moon (red lighting everywhere), and how her home-moon was destroyed by the oppressors (the backup dancers in spears). At the end of PTT, we see Jinsoul (probably gonna get Jinsoul's origin story) on her blue moon in the next comeback.

Choerry is officially an earth girl as we know but can connect to all sides of the Möbius stripe. I'm still not sure how Yves can travel, all we know is that she could escape eden and landed maybe in the OEC world? Did she meet there with Choerry the first time?

Hyunjins countepart is Choerry. Choerry might have been a member of 1/3 first (think of the Love&Live performance without Hyunjin but her that also was released in the cinema theory video). So they switched places. Hyunjin wore OEC clothes in Girl front and Yves in Loonatic. Your theory makes much sense :D

The fact that some planets are around heejin make the theory that heejin in vivid created the loonaverse true
if you pay attention, Jinsoul has that blue circle behind her, Choerry has the purple circle around her (which reminded me rn the why not mv, where she is kinda trapped inside a purple square with fire, squares are 1/3 thing and now we discovery that Haseul is playing with fire...) and kim lip appears to be literally inside the red circle thing, because we can't see it and her scenes are all red. Maybe is a portal between the Earth and the moon or Eden and maybe that explain the hands, Kim lip is helping jinsoul to cross.
2:26 - The ceilings with the red line looks like Kim Lip's odd eye (might hint to Kim Lip's overseeing the Loonaverse)

1) there're exactly 20 spears surrounding the girls (10 long ones with star head, 10 short ones with curvy head). Could mean something.
2) during chorus, all 20 spears were pointed at them
3) there 12 moons + earth orbiting heejin (3 bronze, 2 grey, 2 blue, 2 pink, 1 fade pink, and 2 dark blue with white stripes)
4) In kimlip solo scene during the bridge, there are no spears, or more like the spears are broken?
5) in kimlip intro and jinsoul ending scene, light shines from the 6th curtain and the 9th curtain (anticlockwise). Maybe has something to do with kimlip and yves? 😳 Also i feel like yves wearing denim could mean something, bcoz it is a signature outift of OEC members.
Also, i think you've mistaken about the ceiling. It has always been shattered. The shot during choerry's first line just didn't show the shattered part of the ceiling. You can count the number of panels.
I was thinking, what relation do Kim Lip, Yves and Go Won have? Was there any other scene where only a part of the girls are dancing together? I thought this might somehow be an OEC reference - Yves and JinSoul were paired in the teasers (and Yves was doing waterbending!), and GoWon is Hyunjin's mirror, who is Choerry's twin (we also saw Choerry switched with GoWon dancing in Why Not with the other three yyxy girls). With Kim Lip, is that some kind of parallel image of OEC?
And then i think JinSoul and Choerry appear in that same room but with their Odd Eye rings

i just wanna say that when you said that heejin's eye was "pixelated", it's likely just because the printing on circle lenses (which she's wearing in that scene) tends to appear low-quality/pixelated when you look at them closely ^^;
