Overall the car is good. Valve cover started leaking at the seal. Pretty standard known issue on L15 engines. Clutch is holding up good with the Hondata 250HP/250TQ tune.
Thanks! I started out with autox. It is very fun and safe. Minimal car prep you are ready to go. The environment is very friendly for starters. Go to MotorsportReg and find your favorite autox clubs!
@@dilonkao Sounds good! When I do get a car I was thinking of getting a CIVIC SI or Toyota 86 but I'm leaning towards getting a v6 camaro. Do you think autocrossing/tracking a Camaro is a bad idea?
@@ramxim4349 Any car can be for autox. Track days reliably different story. Civic and 86 are both capable cars. GR86 recently has the RTV issue if you haven’t heard about it. Other than that, GR86 is a really good entry level track/autox car. I’m not real familiar with muscle cars. Camaros I’ve seen run pretty quick. It’s a heavy car, consumables like tires and pads will go through quicker.
You can do it in two ways: 1. Service mode aka pedal dance. It’ll fully disable VSA. 2. Get a tune and disable VSA to your liking. Tune I use is from Hondata Flashpro. Either method rev match is fully functional. Edit: I have VSA fully off. And I keep auto rev match. Auto rev match is beneficial for a lot of high g corners.
Does shifting the Si fast like you are doing hurt the clutch on the stock tune? The rev hang is killer and it feels like I have to wait forever to let the clutch out when driving fast.
Good laps bro great content too
Nothing better than driving a slow car fast, who needs 1000hp to have fun when you can have this for 1/3 the price of a kitty 😂
Did you do any brake pad or fluids swaps?

Nice track video
How is the SI liking the Honda tune? Is the clutch holding the power?

Damn bro nice driving, I gotta learn how to drive like that when I get my own car. How did you start to learn how to track cars?

When on the track do you disable traction control off? And do you keep auto rev match?

Stock tune likely yes. I have a tune with full throttle shift in the car. Revhang is disabled as well. Minimal damage to the clutch.
@@dilonkao Do you keep the auto rev matching with the tune or does that go away
@@UnrelatedNonsense auto rev match is fully functional. Tune is from Hondata.
@@dilonkao awesome thank you!
