This is my favorite game. Last time I played I got up to go to the bathroom…when I got back the player that got my cards (had I returned earlier) had a full house…I was like wow, I bet you’re glad I went to the bathroom, cuz I wouldn’t have played that…he was holding 3/4 off suit.
I recommend reading the basic strategy for this game. I was very unsure why you kept folding hands that are actually a play and it cost you quite a lot at the end. For example 2 push cards or 1 win, 1 lose card are a play but you kept folding it.

You’re costing yourself money by ignoring basic strategy. Game is hard enough to win at and you are making it harder on yourself. Don’t give the casino a greater house edge than they already have old school.
Yup, would have folded that 4-2 as well. As a matter of fact , my wife had that same hand once, and I told her to fold. It ended up being a full house, and she was not happy! LOL!

If you had a A 8 would you see a second card if the first was a 5? No different then having A 5 and first card is a 8. Same thing applies with Q 3. Take the first card then decide if you should fold on that card. I feel you need to be little aggressive in mississippi to make money.
Shuffling machine malfunction? That can't be good--especially since many of these carnival pit games were designed to use them in lieu of having to shuffle the deck between every hand. 😅
@OldSchoolSlotsPlaysTableGames I think she owes you $50 it was 50 to 1 for a full house.. she wasn't checking your cards at the end of the hand to see if you won the side bet.. if you ever come to Kc I'll go to Harrahs with you and we can play cards and some old school slots!

Apparently you have your own strategy and it didn’t work for you today. The basic strategy you should be playing every face card. As for that 1st hand being a full house with a 2,4 well anyone who says they would have played it is lying. That definitely is a folding hand and you did the right thing there. As for some of their other hands yes your should have looked at the cards but if you have a different strategy and it usually works for you then stick to your strategy. I use to play Mississippi but it got too frustrating to me and not fun and today I could see it was frustrating to you. Those days do happen. I like holdem and I do not follow the holdem rules either I have my own strategy too. So I do wish you luck and I hope you play Mississippi again soon and win. It’s a tough game to win at but I guess they all are
Wow you do not know how to play Mississippi Stud. If your a chicken and not playing any hand you will never win. In the 30 mins of playing you would have won about 1200 dollars

It's the main reason I prefer Let it ride over MS.
