    Perfect timing! You can skip from the end of the song back to the beginning and his tempo is exactly the same. He's like a metronome. It's remarkable!

    This is one of the best and most beautiful songs I've ever heard. You're a song writing genius! We gotta jam some Doc Watson sometime! I'm a nobody now, but that's soon to change. when it does, you'll be hearing from me. til then, all the best and keep em coming brother!

    I do love a Maritime ballad.
    I moved to Atlantic Canada in 2012 (from the US Deep South) ... so I'm not truly a "maritimer." Then, again, neither is J.P. Cormier, but I think he wrote one of Atlantic Canada's best songs.
    It's a ballad and a love song.
    There's no "showmanship" in this video. that's simply talent. Natural ability. There's so much of that in the Maritimes. To think, if I'd never moved here, I'd never have heard of "Stompin' Tom."
