Thank you! Just cut 2 keys and programmed 1 fob...started with valet key and master fob with no key in it. Dealer and locksmiths wanted lots of $$$. I did 2 keys that are fully functional for $78!

It took us three tries to map the transponder, it could be that we didn’t follow the directions well but in the third try, success!!!! It took us two tries to map the remote. We did it while we followed the video and IT WORKED. Wow! I’m so amazed. Thank you!

Worked great. I did have to do the first step a second time because I didn’t do it fast enough. It was also ok to have to door open during the first step. Worked great though. I appreciate this very helpful video.
Worked perfectly on an after market key. I also bought an actual Lexus transponder key (no remote). That one required a scan tool to program for some reason. It wouldn't program with this method. However the aftermarket one worked like a charm. (I used the xtool D7. It worked perfectly for an '03 Lexus es300)
So now I just found out that there is a time period that the steps must be performed. i will try to get it done on the next attempt to program it. Will keep you informed about my progress.

I was able to program the key, the car starts, and I was able to program the key fob, it also worked and all three buttons worked. But after a few minutes the key fob stops working and needs to be programmed again. Any help on what’s going on? Great tutorial! Any tips on a key that only works for a couple of weeks and then stops working? A friend got a new key from Lexus and programmed by them and it stopped working. A local auto shop “cleared the codes” to get it working again and a few days later it stopped working again. The original key continues to work (but the fob is broken which is why she got a new key). Question, I have the replacement keys. 1512V-4C, FCC ID 2AOVX-T4. Model# 2AOVX-3BT. After placing my working key in the ignition, 5/gas & 6/brakes, removing the working key and inserting replacement key - transponder/security light does NOT flash rapidly as it does in your video. Which I assume is impacting the ability to program the key - any suggestions?

Hello Mikey, I have a 1998 Lexus ES300 that i made a new transponder key for. This process did not work for this car, as the security light never came on after pressing the gas pedal the last time. Is there another procedure for this model year car?
Try using a generic chip .. did you make one with a superchip?? Also your key my be a valet key and not a master key that might be the issue .. try cloning his key

You could have the wrong remote!! Or no battery in the fob ..your supposed to press lock & unlock together for 3 sec and them unlock by itself.. or try lock.. any luck???

From transponder step 5 the security light was never on to begin with. This is completely driving me crazy. Is there any way of knowing if the correct chip is in the key? I see no ID on the chip. This was bought from Beefunny on line store.

I followed the steps I still can’t get my transponder to work. I go to this modes of programming on the vehicle but my new key phobe doesn’t accept programming for some reason. It’s a brand new fob.....it’s the weirdest thing.

With a programmer?? Or on board? You need a program key to program manually.. and i think these vehicles are eeprom only and you must reflash ecu if im correct with these old 4c chips

Ouch no im afraid when you lose the key you have to reflash the ecu... via eeprom..:((( send your ecu or immobiliser unit to get reflashed .. or they can send you a key alreadyy matched with the ecu :-///

phinlyn the old key doesnt have to have a fob/remote as long as the key you have starts the vehicle and runs,you can use that key to program a new fob ...

Original key works fine. i have the FCC id HYQ1512V , CANADA 1551 102 539 RSS-210 DENSO Not sure if if replacement key is at fault or if these instructions are for this particular key. thank you in advance. Got 2 keys cut at the Dealership (Nalley Lexus) -$45/per key. That is still $200-$300 cheaper than having the dealership do it. Key only costs $24

Check the battery or you might have the wrong remote..

possibly bad batteries ..autozone sells bad battery and yes anything below 3.0 is already low! they should last about a year

I followed the steps I still can’t get my transponder to work. I go to this modes of programming on the vehicle but my new key phobe doesn’t accept programming for some reason. It’s a brand new fob.....it’s the weirdest thing.

With a programmer?? Or on board? You need a program key to program manually.. and i think these vehicles are eeprom only and you must reflash ecu if im correct with these old 4c chips

Ouch no im afraid when you lose the key you have to reflash the ecu... via eeprom..:((( send your ecu or immobiliser unit to get reflashed .. or they can send you a key alreadyy matched with the ecu :-///
