--------
Stephen Baldwin recently opened up about his tumultuous entry into the acting world, focusing on his education and his dramatic exit from the film "Casualties of War." A one-year attendee of the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Baldwin faced expulsion after violating a key rule-auditioning for outside work. His audition for a Beach Boys-themed musical was broadcasted on the news, swiftly leading to his removal from the program. Despite this setback, Baldwin's career began to take flight as he landed a role on the TV show "Family Ties" and made his film debut in "The Beast."
Baldwin's burgeoning career hit another speed bump while working on the Brian De Palma film "Casualties of War." Initially cast as the third lead, Baldwin was replaced by John C. Reilly, a move he attributes to personal issues involving co-star Sean Penn. Although Baldwin holds no regret over his unique audition approach, which initially impressed producers, the abrupt firing remains a poignant lesson in Hollywood politics.
I love how Stephen's face is now stuck on "I know it was you who farted"
🤣Its so funny you said that because he reminds me of a kid named Bobby in the 8th grade who liked to sit in the back of the class and make farting noises. He thought he was hilarious. It was so annoying. That was almost 50 yrs ago and I haven't forgotten him. 🤣
He's definitely taken many farts to the face !
Lmfao
Lmao 😂
Dude’s got a lot of confidence for someone who hasn’t made a good movie in 30 years .
I asked my husband, "Which Baldwin do you think is the best?" He said, "Yours, baby..." He misunderstood the question, and I bought a new razor the next day.
Stephens like a guy you get stuck in a conversation with and wonder when it’ll be over lmao
😂😂😂
He certainly seems to enjoy fawning all over himself, huh?
😂🎉
I work with a guy like that... LOL!
You’re looking for a cut on him this just isn’t it, he’s not bad at all. He doesn’t interrupt and run on at all, if your patience couldn’t hang on for this interview then it says worse about you than it does about him! Youre looking for a cut but this is just not it. Its more of legend from massapequa or something and ego and narcissist etc. but this cut isn’t it
it's like him and vlad are looking into a mirror: same full of themselves self centered self absorbed foks
Sean Penn thinks so little of Stephen Baldwin since that incident, he’s probably forgotten that he’s even related to Alec.
R i p Chris penn, my auntie was a cleaner in one of the block where he lived in santa monica. He used to fall asleep in his car in the underground car park, The penn brothers are legendary but Chris doesn't get enough love.
Chris was my fave... I watched Best Of the Best till the tape popped. And he was great in Fist Of The North Star
did he die in his car?
Chris Penn was great in Resivoir Dogs
@ agree
Chris penn was great but not sure why he didn’t have more success in Hollywood? He was just never able to hit his stride .. living in Sean Penns shadow would be very hard
Not particularly a fan of Stephen's, but "The Usual Suspects" is an absolute classic.
Too bad AFTER that he agree to star in the God awful biodome 😑
@@mikhailabdurrachman2443 😂 I remember that movie
And the Flintstones movie.
Hes in that movie ?
He's been in nothing now but at least he's not shameless like Ralph Machio
This guy's face looks like he knows where the good drugs are 😆😅🤣😂
I was thinking the same thing.
He looks fckn baked ! ...I'm 99% certain he's mentally ill , but this is Hollywood, everyone has a therapist and a drug dealer on speed dial...oh wait did I say speed ? ...yeah that too !
😂😂😂😂😂. Looks like a guy I worked with that asked "You guys smoke drugs" 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣And isn't afraid to use them
He’s a legend in his own mind!
Damn
All of the baldwins are in my opinion. Watching that Alec one on the side of the road with his old lady talking to reporters after he shot that woman was horrible. He had no emotion for her at all because he was so busy trying be Alec Baldwin.
@@sevinstorey4365 no it was a Rite he had to do look at all the black left eye actors
amazing comment
Only way you can be an actor is to be infatuated with yourself.
He was on one episode of Family Ties. Vald talks about it like it was A pivotal part of his career.
Have you seen his credits?
I have to say I watched a lot of Family Ties back in the day and I never remember Baldwin being in an episode. I do remember Tom Hanks though being in a few episodes. He and Michael J. Fox really worked well together. Wished they had done more.
Don't knock it. Tom Hanks wouldn't have a career otherwise! 😊 His alcoholic uncle episode....
My man had a party in the back. All business in the front 😂
Work-and-Pleasure classic
@@badinfluence3814 😅
Casualties of War is one of the most underrated war movies
Even Michael J. Fox did an amazing job! I’m 60 so I remember Fox from “Family Ties” and was amazed to see him handle such a truly dramatic role so well
Most believe it was the worst Vietnam film of the 80s.
This is sooo effn confusing when one guy says it was the most underrated war movie then the next dude says its potentially the worst!!!
TF am I supposed to do with all this conflicting detail??? 😂
@@dharkknight4747 It’s called “difference of opinion”

Confusion over
@@keepitreal426😂😂😄😂😄😂
I THOUGHT IT WAS BUFFALO BILL FROM SILENCE OF THE LAMBS
Holy crap ! He coukd play that role 100% 😂😅😂😅
Omg haha ... Yeah def can see that! Stephen seems to be relatively free speaking about most topics, but don't forget he's still alive & still accepted in Hollywood...So he knows how to work the business on both ends of the spectrum...
Are you about a size 14
Worst place to be would be at the Baldwin family holiday dinner.😬
I think they’d be pretty cool stories
Nah everyone going to be focused on alec. Love to hear his stories over beers tho
I think it would be great.
Lol roast of bald was funny too
@@devilsmechanic5156yeah the Baldwin bros should get a podcast going as the stories they would have would be pure entertainment
His acting in the movie "8 seconds" was great.
You would think a guy who found acting so “easy” would have been in at least one memorable role in his career . How good are you if Bud from Bio-Dome is your pinnacle ? 😂
Usual Suspects......
What are you wearing???? "This is my brother Darrell and my other brother Darrell" is the most dignified thing you could say about your brothers!!!
As a young teenager one of my favorite movies was Bio Dome loved it Dude. 😂
The hi-hat is on the wrong side of the drum kit.
If you're a lefty the floor tom and snare are on the wrong side.
“PLEASE DONT DO THAT” - Stephen Baldwin
Baldwin’s opening statement 😂
No arrogance here… see name on hat! Lmao
Stephen really isn't a very bright guy. 4:40 The Editor was speaking of aspect ratio and exporting codecs. None of that changes performance or the story. He has his head up his ass about a lot of "the process". It's REALLY strange when you see guys who have decades in the biz and know so little while thinking they know a lot
I respect your work my dawg...Baldwin 🥶💎
Psychologically speaking, listening to pretentious people “trying to act” casual, is most interesting when they are “actors” for a living.
Not sure this is the cut you wanted to land, but it’s close. I’ll give you an 8for it.but there’s a point for specificity and accuracy missing. Imagine the family get together and the competition he gives the more successful siblings. Oh I’d love to be a witness! Just one yelling screaming match! Lemme be a witness! Bahaha 😹
Vlad can't get the wayons family so he has to get the baldwins haha
You can't even spell Wayans.
What's so special about the "wayons family"?
The Wayans family tell the same boring made up stories every interview
i never wouldve thought Stephen would be my favorite of the Baldwins 30 years ago but flash forward to today..most of his work is still watchable today.
only decent movies were usual suspects and bio dome .. what "work" are you talking about?
I always new it, he use to be on Howard Stern all the time in the 90s. Cool dude
He sucks
@@caspar9794 Alec is a dirtbag
I sense an egotistical asshole.
He reminds me of the homeless guy that stands in the intersection with a cardboard sign...
that was almost him..till his son in law justin beiber started helping him out financially.
The RUclips guy Bieber of all people...
Sounds like Stephen was trying to pull a Dustin Hoffman Rain Main, center of attention character in that movie with his version of the character...and the producers/director were not having it.
This fella definitely has more confidence than ability.
For him to say that acting “comes simple” to him is funny cuz (let’s be honest), he’s not really that good of an actor.
A good actor makes you forget they’re an actor. And every movie this guy has been in, his character’s name might as well be Stephen Baldwin cuz the whole time your brain is reminding you,
“Hey, that’s Stephen Baldwin playing a character named Chad…”
Damn
He's a good actor
He is a good actor
Same for leo DiCaprio post Departed
Maybe you can correct his flaws Mr Critic 🤔
Can almost hear John C. Reilly "DID YOU TOUCH MY DRUM SET"
Penn: Okay when we get over there don't talk to anybody don't talk to me and even Michael.
Stephen: 😃 Mike Fox remember me from Family Ties.
Me: 🤣🤣🤣
Dude's giving one of The Eagle's original guitarists! 😅
The jewels of honesty that come out of this collective are almost worth the adherence.
Never ending harm that is/was causation by kowtowery for federal involvement.
Presumption of familial fears, as one goes, so goes their clan.
That’s just periphery thought, and yes Tes, these are human traits.
Of skills demanded and proved, always a ruination when another’s devise.
Baldwin is the last person Sean Penn is worried about..He got El Chapo caught🥴
Great and best interview yet. Cool vlad
Also gotta love the sticker he's got on his jacket that's his podcast One Bad Movie.
Big fan of your work, always look forward to your uploads!
wow!all these people hating on. him, show love!
I wonder if he reads these comments? 😅
Fresh off the airboat and into the school bus house 😂😂😂
Fun interview
Bro has a real joker smile... he needs to be joker
Personally i would say Nicholas cage has the face and personality more suited to be the joker than Stephen
@mikhailabdurrachman2443 bro yes, nicks personality would be mad as the joker

Go google a photo of Willam Dafoe in Streets of Fire. I saw that movie when I was a little kid, at that age I didn’t even understand what the movie was about, but just the way he looks in that movie scared me.
I think Dafoe wouldve made a great dark joker.
I'll have to agree with that, and he totally reminds me of a dude I went to high-school with !
The Usual Suspects movie, photo with 2Pac, his brother Alec accidentally killing a person on set, Justin Bieber marrying his daughter and them having a baby. Key parts incoming.
Lmfao this is hilarious
I'm waiting for Vlad to ask him about that photo with him Pac I know Vlad is gonna ask him
"What's that photo behind u and Pac"
"Where u and Pac close after that?"
"When u got the news that Pac was killed what went through ur mind"
It's automatically gonna turn into a Pac interview I know it 😂😂😂
@@Twan1985 I'm shocked Vlad didn't ask him about the 2pac pic already, on another note Pac and Baldwin would've made a killer onscreen duo!
@@coreyrowe4119 oh hell yea I can see them doing like a buddy cop movie together for sure and don't worry i know in my gut Vlad is gonna ask him about 2Pac

I just came up with a new line. Instead of 'Going Postal' it could be 'Going Method'.
The best Baldwin
The Beast with Jason Patric was a classic
that I loved watching since I was a kid
in the 80s. the tank track scene was intense.
I remember watching that movie as a kid somewhere in the early 90's and I spent a few months searching for it.
Eventually I found it & watching it again was awesome, it's one of those movies you can watch over & over again...

The ONLY problem is Trump is 6'2 while Stephen is 5'9
Stephen's morphed into Joe Walsh! (An older version).
And without talent.
@@rickallen6378 yes, he's a "Baldwin" so yes, it goes without saying.

He may perceive it as very simple....just like most perceive him as a shit actor.

Ok.
I think we all have stories we wouldn’t want anyone to hear about. What about you?
All of my stories make me seem crazy as hell so I’m good with it

He was in Biodome that's a great movie. Also, I love the beach boys. Definitely in my top ten favorite american bands of all time (I like latino music more than American music)
Crossing the bridge was my favorite stephen baldwin movie
Fled (1996) is my fave, excellent movie.
crossing the Bridge, underrated coming-of-age classic and must-see for anyone who lives in southeastern Michigan
Steven was great on the tv show Heat Of The Night
I am such a legend said nobody 😅
He misunderstood the kid editing, & made himself look like an ass. Being trained in film, & not digital doesn’t mean you know more about filmmaking. Making the edit had nothing to do with rendering it down to a Netflix approved guideline.
Looking like an a$$ is a Baldwin trait.
3:11
Bro, plz get that drum kit set up properly. Google image it, lol. Great show though!
Need a bio dome 2!
Brilliant in 8 Seconds. He and Luke made that movie
JOE ROGAN got a dope RAEKWON interview that dropped yesterday.
Raekwon sucks. Wu Tang do too.
Sean penn gave Micheal j fox a hard time in that movie too. Not surprised to hear this

I remember Tom Hanks being in some episodes that were really good, but for Baldwin, I can't say I remember that one.
Wasn't it his brother that shot and killed that young mother on a movie set? I think so, and the guy claimed the gun went off by itself somehow,,Lol.
