One of the BEST COMBOS to invest into.
Recommend this for beginner barbers or stylists. Otherwise if you are seasoned you have a great affordable set of tools read to go.
Don’t adjust clippers or trimmers unless you absolutely have to. Watch the whole video.

Hey I was wondering where you got the pink body for the clipper from?
Good review. I have this set. I left the taper blade on but put the faper blade on my Apex.
Perfect Combo set. The Taper blade is a good blade it gets the job done. It’s all preference especially when it comes to cutting style.
For self cuts are this good? What makes the difference protege vs some babybliss for self cuts
So now that you’ve had some time to cut with both which blades would you recommend upgrading both the trimmer and clipper with? I see you have the fusion/faper blade for clipper, but would you suggest ceramic bottom blade?
Definitely love them both with the stock blade but I recommend to switch the trimmer to “the one blade” for the clipper get the black faper diamond carbon blade equipped with the slim deep tooth cutter and you are in the game especially if you are using them on multiple guests.
@@j.exquisitegrooming appreciate your insight brotha! I’m going to upgrade my blades! Way cheaper than buying a whole new clipper lol
I tried putting the precision blade on the protege trimmer but it's too sharp for me

hey i need help pelase. I ordered SC rogue from amazon but they sent me protege trimmer and clipper set. Its obviously more for my money than what i paid for since i got the trimmer for free but i was wondering if i should return my protege and actually get rogue. I also have andis t trimmer. Please let me know. from what ik protugue pulls with 6000 rpms vs rogue has 10,000 rpms. Thanks
Wow! I’ll start by saying Andis T is always good to have OG as long as it’s properly set.
Second I think someone looked out big time at SC If it was me I would keep them, more ergonomically friendly for the hand I vouch for them I mean my hand is perfect for them.
I appreciate the rotary motors but you have to realize like you said the rpm’s for the Rogue are 10,000! Equipped with a quiet magnetic motor way more than the Protégé. When it comes down to power. If you want to return go for it and swap.
“Rogue” combo or individually is really just Ergo & Evo which I appreciate what the both do. The clipper is easy to use when flicking with blends and the Trimmer is straight forward with quick Taps when creating the Lineup or Designs. Keep the combo is what I recommend and just switch the blades. X Pro for the Trimmer, Faper/Fusion for the Clipper.
@@j.exquisitegrooming yes thats where i am very confused. I originally bought rogue for selfcuts. what i liked was 10k rpms and how every barber loved it and its also been in top 5 clippers easily. On the other hand protgue has been getting mixed reviews and i never see it up on the charts. DOn't you think rogue would be better option and it will last longer? i do appreciate the trimmer i got for free but someday 6k rpms might not be enough to clean bulk? Plus blades will end up costing more for less eficiatent product. What do you think
Thanks and i appreciate your response
@@inouske2975 No problem and I agree those are facts. Some times more money ends up being the only option to help most tools run or perform better unfortunately.
I think you should swap because the more powerful the tool the better as well as the longevity is a bonus. So don’t break the bank scratch what I mentioned swap out!
I will mention I usually don’t fall into the politics especially on the net. It takes having to try in some cases. I have been using the Hitter/Alpha or Protégé Trimmer/Clipper for some time believe me the motors perform well regardless to the lower Rpm.
It comes down to how they are being handled and what they are being used for. if you are using for personal self cut you are beyond good but if you are using at a barbershop go with the Rogue.
Everything is not meant for commercial use and some tools end up being a what works for you the best. Do you understand the rotary, magnetic or pivot in some cases. Completely different systems which perform differently depending on who’s using them.
@@j.exquisitegrooming thanks. i guess im going to use protege for one cut and give it a try and then ill try rogue for next one. whatever feels better ill keep it. go with the feel like u said
@@inouske2975 Definitely 🏁
