It's a beautiful time of year when birds are busy nesting. Looks like Tufted Duck ducklings are good divers searching food, they don't wait handouts. Thanks for the video.
Thank you Thomas, I’ve never seen Tufted Duck chicks but they sure are cute and great divers! Good to see the Avocets doing so well as they were extinct in the U.K. until coastal fields that had been drained were flooded as a defensive measure during WW2 and Dutch birds started a colony. The RSPB saw this and purchased the site. The recovery started there, a conservation success story!
Plenty of Avocet action there John, good to see them doing well these days. Had a 1st ever White Stork tother day at Idle valley, pal I was with had a Pratincole not far away today at Finningley..
Cheers Jon, yes they’re doing well in Slimbridge, chicks and eggs always seem to get predated in Goldcliff. I’ve never seen a White Stork, what a sighting! Saw that there was a Pratincole about on bird guides, that’s a bird I’d love to see too!

Cảm ơn Mai, Avocets là một loài chim rất đẹp và chúng thực sự bảo vệ gà con của mình cho dù con chim có lớn đến đâu làm phiền chúng! Tôi nghĩ tất cả các chú gà con đều rất dễ thương! Cây Kim Ngân có mùi thơm thật tuyệt vời! 💖😊
