I got the bump too... All I did was use the dial basics antibacterial bar soap 3 times a day and it went away fully in a week! I rinsed with the H20 spray... No one mentioned it so I thought I'd share!
I have had a lot of issues with my piercing and I read on reddit that one of the best things to do is to just leave it alone. Don't touch it, don't play with it, try not to snag it on something. I switched from a bone stud to a ring and there was a bump but it had gone down.
I have a few piercings myself along with stretched ears... you really gotta be patient when it comes to any new piercings. I too had the bump ~3months after I gotten my nose pierced cuz I changed it from a stud to a hoop... I tried many home remedies as well but in the end, I just held it together & waited it out. Any piercing I got after that (a couple cartilage piercings & a daith) I waited it out & did the usual salt water soaks & salt water sprays to keep them clean. Also avoid touching them constantly as they heal cuz that also irritates it.
I had my nose piercing for 4 months now, I had the same bump after a month when I accidentally hit it too hard, luckily it healed within two weeks (I cleaned it with Epsom bath salts twice a day, inside and outside my nose). I changed my piercing about 3 months in I think? It hurt lol, I didn’t wanna change it but the gem had fallen out! Rn my piercing is doing fine! I wanna get a second one on the other side of my nose in another 4/5 months! :-D
So i just got my nose pierced yesterday, and i’m gonna wait about 3 months to change it, you said it hurt when you did get it changed, how did it hurt? since the hole was already there, unless you got a different size?
Thanks so much for your honesty. I got my nose pierced but couldn’t handle the bump that formed. It was so annoying...took the piercing off. I thought recently about getting a piercing again, but watching this video really reminded about how much work it is to keep it clean. Won’t be doing it again.
I’ve had this same problem and it’s doing good now I use dove soap *suggested by my piercer* in the shower at the end, as well as when washing your face taking makeup off use the dove soap last just around the piercing *bar soap*
Oh my goodness. You sound just like me. I tried everything under the sun to get rid of my nose piercing bump ( via RUclips). Then I finally got a referral to see a dermatologist to have it shaved off.
I had the same issue too no solutions provided online and youtube helped!!! What i did was get a sterile needle popped the bump and there was bleeding but its all worth it. I then cleaned the bump with soap and then added hydrogen peroxide and pressed down with a q-tip for a couple of minutes then it went down. I also added some vicks vapor rub on it so the redness would go away and it worked!!!
H2Ocean spray was my bestfriend for my nose piercing! I did everything you did! When I had my nose pierced I started with a hoop and I had a bump I felt like forever until I changed it into a stud and it healed up super fast!
I've had my piercing for about 5 months and I got the bump after a month and I did sea salt soaks and it went away. literally a couple weeks ago Idk what I did that it got a little inflamed and I went back to doing the sea salt soaks and it's back to normal! I think the best and safest say to go are the sea salt soaks to get rid of the bump
Honestly it sucks to have a bump but what really worked for me was TOOTHPASTE!! I left it on over night for 3 days. While continuing doing a sea salt soak three times a day. After I removed the toothpaste in the morning w a cotton pad rinsed in hot water I’d put tea tree oil on it. The bump disappeared after 3 days!!
Lexi Uy hi girl, I’m currently going through this and it’s so fustrating trying to figure out what will work. Do you mind sharing what toothpaste you used?
Thanks for sharing - Had my piercing for 3 mos now and I have changed rings due to work ☹️ and now I’ve noticed a bump its been a week now. Appreciate the info.
My piercers recommended chlorsig cream which is for an eye infection I forgot what it’s called, but after trying so many remedies two days after I used the cream it was gone!
Use sea salt with water make a paste and put on your piercing on every night and put a lose band aid and during the day time just youse warm sea salt water and clean it but don’t clean it too much because it will dry it out xxx
When I got mine pierced (about 2 & a half years ago) I didn’t rush into changing it to a hoop cuz I know there’s that risk of getting that bump so I stuck with the stud for atleast a year and changed it to a hoop, but I went back with the stud cuz I find it more comfortable ((:
Stud is def more comfortable, but the hoop is so darn cute 😭. I just have to be extra aware now and careful with the hoop. And omgg, I’m so sad for your friend for having to take off the piercing completely. The dermatologist actually recommended that I take the hoop off, but I told her I wanted to keep my piercing 😆. She really did a good job taking the bump off with the hoop on.
I have a bump now and I have followed some tips I got off RUclips I did the sea salt soak, and the tea tree oil. I even did the sea salt paste. But what I found to work for me (which is what my piecer told me to do) 1st I switched to titanium studs ( I have a mild allergy to nickel). 2nd she told me to keep doing the sea salt soaks I did that for bothering say just to make sure I didn't get a keloid on the other side. 3rd she said I'd it didn't go away after 3 days to poke it and put tea tree oil on it (Yes I know poking or popping it may not be a good idea but it helped). I did notice a big difference after like 5 days it's way smaller I still do the salt paste just to have tea tree oil on my nose at night but that's completely optional on my part. I also use Neosporin but only in the morning morning and I clean my piercing with some warm salt water and tea tree oil. The Neosporin is just to help the skin I didn't want a dark spot so I used the ointment to help with that. Helpful tips: Don't play with your piercing that could also cause a keloid. And always wash your hands before touching it.
Hi... I have had a nose bump for 3 months after snagging my nose stud on a towel, I've done the daily sea salt and no improvement, I have used natural toothpaste and no improvement, I then used commercial toothpaste, which i have done now for 2 day and the bump is half the size and nearly gone!!!.... x
I got my keloid bump yesturday I woke up with jt and it was mad big!! I applied regular salt mixed with water on it then I put vaseline over night. All only 1 time. It definitely got flatter and smaller after I woke up but its still there.
I feel for you in this video, Anne! I've had my nose piercing (stud still) for about a year and a half now and I'm still doing sea salt soaks (10 minutes every morning and night) PLUS heat compressions (10 minutes every morning and night). Heat compressions by putting a clean shirt over a heating pad and pressing that against my nose. Though, it is A TON of nose maintenance and hoops are just so darn cute! So I can understand the eagerness to switch from a stud to a hoop but I defineitly think that it's better to wait it out than trying to rush the healing process. Sorry you had to go through all that trouble! You look beautiful either way :)
Omgosh... even after a year later? Is that recommended? How does one know if a nose piercing has fully healed? Are you planning on switching to a hoop or just keeping your stud?
Knock on wood, I haven't had any sudden nose bump "granuloma" break outs recently but I think that's due to my repetitive and very time consuming nose maintenance! It is true that you just have to understand how your body works and with this in mind, I felt comfortable to slowly start giving my nose a break and not doing any maintenance in the weekends as well not doing sea salt soaks every morning now! Another thing to keep in mind for future thought is that it is possible that your body could be prone to keloids. Like you, I am also Filipino and I did some culture research on this and read that people that have darker skin tones are more at risk of keloids...which sucks :( Overall, I found your video very informative and similar to my own piercing problems! I took a risk in getting my nose piercing after having to deal with my cartilage piercing and having to get keloid surgery removal for that as well! So it is kinda scary wanting to get more piercings knowing that you have a high chance of having a keloid.
Just realized I didn't answer your questions! My piercer who I trust immensely - due to my friends having great outcomes, recommended the sea salt and heat compression! I'm not completely sure how you can tell if a nose piercing is fully healed, unfortunately. I'm guessing that you can start to realize when you see your skin "healed" like how it looks like on your regular ear piercing! I'm definitely planning to switch to a hoop but maybe later on this year when the weather isn't so blazing hot here in Austin, TX - since I heard that your skin heals better in the cold!
Iv had my nose ring almost a year and the bump is still there sometimes it’s gets smaller but it always immediately comes back I’ve tried everything from heat soaks, sea salt, apple cider vinegar and aspirin - idk what to do anymore
I had a bump on my nose piercing for 9 months straight just with a stud, I went to another piercing shop, they looked at it and told me that I was not pierced at the right angle (with a curved angle instead of a perpendicular one)... so it was very hard to heal! The piercer suggested I should take it off, so I got my nose repierced like 1 mm next to it. I had my new nose piercing for like 3 weeks and the healing is going much better. Maybe it's not your case but still I hope this could help you!
It's been over 12 days since day had my nose pierced and had to remove it because I got caught by the big boss at work and had to replace it with a retainer 😩but it was heeling so well and still no problem so far as long as I continue routine, I hope to be fine
I did my nose piercing 3 times but i got bumps all the time.my doctor told me that I have to take the pin out coz my body is reacting to the foreign object and i have it only for 2-4 weeks n i was done with it .as soon as I take it off the red big bump started to dry .its still healing and hopefully I’ll not have a scar.🤞🏽
I got my piercing down on September and I keep getting a bump I’m going to get the piercing removed because it’s started to get annoying I miss being without it to be honest
Girl, i feel you on those bumps! But nose piercings or any cartilage piercings don’t fully heal until about a year. I think changing it out to a hoop too early on might have aggravated it. I’ve had my nostril piercing for 3 years now and just stuck with a stud and had no problems. But! My daith in my ear was a biatch. I got a bump because i kept fiddling with it and i just left it alone completely and eventually in a month it fell off. Be patient with them!
Sigh the struggle is real. Nose piercings should come with a warning they pierce a hole on you hahaha. I asked the piercer when it was ok to switch from a stud to a hoop and told me 3 months 😭. I’ll just have to be extra careful now with my hoop for the next 7 months. I do still want to get my ear lobes pierced though 🤔.
Justine u just left it alone and didn’t do sea salt soaks or anything go ur daith just literally left it alone and it went away on its own? Sometimes I think maybe I should do the same with my nose cause I have a little bump and maybe it’ll just go away
I got the same bump when I got my nose piercing and I had it for about 4-6 months I think? I think you got a bump cuz u changed ur piercing too early on. They recommend to keep the same stud for about a year til you change the jewelry. But after it’s gone, everything will be worth it! I loveeeeee my nose piercing!!
The no pull silicone disks work really well. Also if it’s healed you can use peroxide. Soak it in a cotton ball of peroxide once a day for 5-10. It’ll literally dry up and peel off.
yeah my nose had a trauma so that explains it. Was taking of my mask and the piercing got stuck on it so when i took off my mask, it pulled my piercing out. This is was a few days after i pierced, you can imagine the pain i went through 🙂
I have a few piercings on my ears and when ever I get a new one I never use the salt water spray (I feel it doesn’t work for me personally). Ive learnt to use betadine ointment it’s a bit strong to use but it helps it heal faster and prevents infection happening.
I’m thinking about getting my ears pierced too 🤔, but I’m scared of getting the bumps. However, at least they’re a lot easier to hide. Did you ever get any bumps on them?
I did get a little bit of a bump when I got my tragus and outer conch done but cause I kept knocking it 😖 but once I used the betadine ointment it healed within a couple of days and the bump went down, a serious life saver.
USE SEA SALT AND WATER GUYS!! i had a nose piercing bump for about a month and i was so frustrated, i thought it would go away on its own but i could swear it was only getting bigger. so i searched online and apparently using a sea salt solution would help, and that’s what i did. i mixed about a teaspoon of sea salt into a small jar of water, soaked it in a cotton ball, and pressed it against my bump for about 20 minutes. after, i dried it with a q-tip. what i did next is something i don’t really recommend but it worked for me. while i was drying the bump, i pushed it around and realised it was kind of peeling away. i pushed it even harder and it looked like there was a GIANT white head hiding underneath, so i pushed EVEN HARDER and thought trying to get the white head out would be a good idea (spoiler: it kind of wasn’t). my bump started bleeding really badly and i thought: ‘that’s it. tomorrow morning i will wake up with a giant wart on my nose’. i tried to stop the blood the best i could and then went to sleep with the lowest hopes of what i would find on my face the following morning. the next day, my bump wasn’t as drastic as i thought it would be, the blood just clotted. i decided i bothered my bump enough and didn’t apply any more sea salt solution and just left it alone, save for some quick q-tip cleaning i did to keep the area clean. by the end of the day, however, IT WAS HEALED??? there was still a tiny blemish left, but that healed quickly too and my nose piercing is now completely bumpless. SOOOOO i definitely recommend using a sea salt solution. soak a cotton ball in the sea salt solution and press it to your nose piercing bump for 20 minutes, but don’t bother it any further. keep doing that about 2 times a day and i think you’ll see good results. DISCLAIMER: i’m not a skin specialist yall, i have zero knowledge on this subject except for my own experience and what i learned from a mistake i made. GOOD LUCK!!
How long did you keep doing that for before the bump went away I did the sea salt thing yesterday and somehow it popped on its own and drained and then it started to bleed the bump has went down a bit but I need to know if I keep continuing to put the sea salt solution on the bump or do I go back to the saline wash I was using in the beginning
@@chrissyb8279 i think you should leave your bump alone for a while, putting a salt solution onto an open wound is a bad idea. maybe you should let it heal first? also just a reminder, i don’t have any actual knowledge on skin so i don’t really know what i’m doing either 😭
all i do is a warm compress (warm up a wet wash cloth in the microwave & put it in a ziploc bag) & do that for 10 mins & our 50/50 of tea tree oil & water on the bump w an eye dropper. do this once every night
I have had bump for a year I have also just recently removed my piercing two days ago. It got infected when I first got it pierced and then it had fell out so I had to get it pierced again and it was fine. But it also had gotten infected yet again. I think it was because I had gotten it pierced on the same side. so yeah I couldn’t deal with it anymore. Also you are absolutely right you do have to maintain it and clean it as much as possible but h20 spray I had used made the bump worse because I was allergic to it apparently but nope, no more nose piercings for me.
Oh wow Ive snagged my stud plenty and rip it out wearing sunglasses. (Ive had my piercing about two weeks now. ) Im glad to see this before hand to be more careful
I’m having this same issue and i feel self conscious how much did the procedure cost ? I’m planning on doing this if no home remedies work I got it back like 3 days ago ☹️
For bumps, dip Q-tip is hot water. The hotter the batter. Then hold over the piercing bump. It will be uncomfortable but it does get rid of it. And make sure to use Neosporin because it prevents the piercing from getting dry
In my experience, I've had my nose piercing now for about 8 months now, I went through the exact same situation. My piercing grew a bump about 3 months in, I googled solutions, none worked, and in defeat I went to my piercer. Turns out that nose piercings should have at least 6 months to heal before switching to a hoop, and that the sea salt soaks etc. rarely ever work. Piercer told me to not use hydrogen peroxide, sea salt, etc. anything that had harsh chemicals in it and to just use soap and water.
i’ve had a bump since march and it’s now july... i did everything, the only thing that worked for me was advil crushed up and leaving it on it, the bump got smaller but i tried just giving it a break and the bump got bigger. i’m so insecure about it that at times i dont even want to visit my boyfriend because of how self conscious it made me
Girl, I’m literally dealing with the exact same thing :( I totally feel you on the whole self conscious thing! I’m seeing a dermatologist today, well, a nurse practitioner. I’m nervous, but I hope that the cost isn’t too bad and that they can take it off :( thanks for this girl!
Not sure if this is what healed mine, but I had a burn on my nose, so I was using an antiseptic cream to heal that and put some on my almost 3 month old piercing, and it worked wonders
I went to a ghetto shop and mentioned I wanted a hoop but understood I had to have a stud first then after it healed (typically 6 months/after ur piercing stops secreting puss/crusties, there’s no pain/sensitivity), but the piercer insisted we could start with a hoop- no problem. She recommended I use hydrogen peroxide to clean but the internet advised against that so I used something else (forgot what it’s called but it’s an antibacterial spray). Lo and behold, a couple months later I did get a bump. Not sure if it was cuz of the ring or cuz I caught a cold and had a runny nose for 2 days (still cleaned piercing throughout), but I went to a diff shop and they said you should NEVER start off with a hoop bcuz it’s curved and will make pull on your skin and either cause a bump or just heal at a curved angle (can bo longer use studs down the line). Changed my hoop to a stud, started cleaning with a salt spray they recommended (arm&hammer), and in 2-3 weeks the bump went away!
I personally used dove soap, cotton swabs, icing it for 5 minutes, and vitamin A&D ointment when I first got it for 2-3 weeks and my nose healed perfectly now I changed it and hopefully I’ll be fine because I changed my cork screw after 3 months to a ring
I’ve had a bump on my nose piercing for more than a year 😩 I’ve tried a sea salt solution and my grandma made me try these weird homemade things, I got the bump 3 months after and went to the piercer to change it to gold pericing bc it was my second time and the first time I had to take it out. They changed it and just told me to clean with antibacterial soap. It won’t heal I went to a skin doc specialist and they gave me a cream and it didn’t work so they said I’ll have to take it out and they’ll give me a shot. I don’t know if I take it out will the piercing hole close up or anything.
Just poke it with a needle (I suggest a new clean one from the store) I used one from back when I had to check my sugar and put tea tree oil on it that's what my piecer told me to do and it has gone down a lot I also switched to titanium studs which also helped
I’ve had a reoccurring bump on my nose for the past 3+ year. I keep going to the doctor for the shot to get it removed and it keeps coming back😂I’ve been cancelled by 2 doctors so far cuz they was tired of treating me
I have a nose piercing that I got last year in oct. ... and it’s still healing. I had keloids , and the salt water soak worked. It looked just like the one you had, but I I do admit, it’s a hassle to clean!!!! It may come back.
If this didn’t work for you, listen to this: About six months ago I got my helix pierced (with a needle), everything was fine and smooth sailing un until I noticed a bump like a bubble that was growing (not a keloid). After 2 months of testing out different methods and at home treatments like tee tree oil or aspirin nothing worked and sometimes I found that it became worse. I felt very frustrated and def regretted getting it BUT I asked my mum for some help and we made the decision to visit our local doctor, after some talking he gave us this treatment cream called bactroban cream which kills all the bad bacteria, you use this cream twice a day and your bump should go away after a week. After using this cream it didn’t work, I felt tempted to pop or take out the earring which are all BAD choices. my mum mentioned to me that when I was younger I had gotten an infection from an earring on my lobe because of the surgical steel earring SO I decided to change the earring to a titanium but nothing changed since the stud was still irritating my skin. After a week I changed my earring to a GOLD hoop and applied the cream as the instructions said and now I have no bump nor pain and it looks great!
I feel like I'm the only one but I've had my bump for MUCH longer,I'm ready to just have it taken out cause nothing's working. Sucks cause I really like my piercing
So idk if mine is a keloid or what but I got my piercing like four days back and it’s so swollen that my stud literally almost went in my nose, not at the actual piercing hole or whatever you call it but it’s just that swollen, like it sounds weird but i hope I make sense 😅 help me please !
i got my nose pierced almost 2 years ago for the first time and at that time i didnt know how to take care of it so it got inflamed after a month so i took the nose pin off. then i got my nose pierced for the second time and i changed the jewelery to a gold stud so that it doesnt get inflamed but right after changing it i got a bumb on my nose and then i got so scared that i again took it off. then i got my nose pierced for the 3rd time and i myself took it off as it seems so troublesome. but as it suits me and i really wanted to had a nose piercing i again pierced my nose almost a week ago and now this time im cleaning it with saline solution twice everyday and im taking good care of it this time ,. this oain has gone but ill take good care of it . please pray for me. ps: sorry for this lengthy comment but i reallyt wanted to share
I feel your struggle girl T-T I pretty much have a double helix piercing (got them in 2016). I got them done 3 months apart. The second one, I decided to get a hoop instead of a stud (what I got for the first piercing). And because the hoop one got infected it pretty much infected my first piercing which was healing so nicely prior to that. And dude, they both have JUST started to heal and the bumps are gone now (fingers crossed they don't come back). Just reoccurring tenderness and slight swelling here and there. I did all those home remedies that you did too...just have to really be patient...it sucks T-T I now know to just stick with a stud until the piercing fully heals.
Is it also recommended to get a stud first when you get a one/double helix piercing? I wanna get one at some point, but I also don’t wanna get a bump. I feel like that part of the ear is also sensitive especially when you’re sleeping. How long did you have the bumps and how did you clean them as they healed?
Sorry in advance for this long ass post I'm making you read haha My piercer told me it heals better with a stud. (I just didn't do it the second time coz...yolo. I regret it now lol) For the stud he recommended the round back instead of the flat b/c I mentioned I'm a side sleeper and wear glasses. The aftercare instructions were 1) when showering, you can run warm-hot water on it to kinda flush out the wound and 2) Saline Wound Wash/Solution 2x a day. You can get it at Walgreens, CVS, etc. Just check the ingredients and make sure that it's just water and sodium chloride, nothing else. And those two steps were working perfectly. It was my fault that my piercings got so bad b/c in summer 2016, I went to Malaysia for a month and didn't bring my wound wash and they got swollen. In early 2017, that's when it got worse and the bumps formed and I tried all the home remedies that did nothing. I read that bumps need to drain as much as possible since not much circulation gets to the cartilage. So here and there I used a hot compress to try and soften the gunk + the aftercare instructions. FYI spraying that saline wash directly gets everywhere , so I just drop enough to saturate a Q-tip and gently clean the front and back of my ear. And after almost a year, the bumps are gone and I only do those two steps to clean. It's just a lot of patience >.< I think over cleaning can irritate the area too (like dry out the area too much or if you put certain ointments on them, it could clog the bump more) so I think that's why maybe less was more for my situation. As for sleeping, I think both are equally comfortable. Just gotta wait til the tenderness goes down to sleep on them. Good luck girl! I hope your piercing heals fast with no more bumps!
Question when they shaved it off did you have the perching in while they shaved it off? Or how did that work because I feel like if you take it off for them to shave it down the hood will close especially if you’ve only had the piercing for 3-4 months
Ugh I have the worst bump right now! Worse than yours was. I was 4 weeks post-piercing, following my after care and everything was healing well when I got a head cold. I was congested and blowing my nose for several days and then the bump appeared and it's just gross looking. I have had work events weekly for a month and tomorrow I have a black tie awards banquet and I'm just trying to cover it with makeup as best I can. Yes, I know that can make it worse, but I can't be greeting our 800+ guests with this big red bump on my face. 😭 It makes me feel so insecure but I'm hoping other people don't notice it like I do. My fiance doesn't notice anything but we live together and he didn't know it was there until I pointed it out. 😂
Have you gotten rid of it? I knocked it and then I had bad head cold also and I think really made the bump angry for me. But I’ve had the bump now for a few months. How are you treating yours? Or treated if it has gone?
when i wear the hoop for a day or two the bump come up all i do is change it back to my small nose stud and then it goes away and i also put warm salt water on my nose
I did the sea salt solution and still got a bump soon after I've had it for 4 months and I still have the bump so my mom changed it to a hoop and it's going down I also did a saline solution and it went away but then I stopped it for a few days and didn't do anything but it came back and so we switched it and its seeming to go away we also tried everything we could watching RUclips videos etc since I switched it out and the nose ring has been cleaner ofc so I think that helped
I realize this video is 4 years old, I got a piercing 2 months ago and got a bump so I've been researching. I don't typically get acne or anything so this was like a oh hell no type thing. I had been cleaning it since I've gotten the piercing so I was shocked to get it. But I popped the bump squeeze everything out with a swab and cleaned it with dial soap and alcohol 10 times a day or so. In between I would do the salt bath then alcohol. It went away in a day I pray it doesn't come back I have a stud since the piercing and think that why I have this issue waiting for 6 months to change it to a hoop.
Girl i was dealing with a piercing bump a week after I got my nose pierced, granted I snagged it before it formed and nothing was working for me (it was there for 2 months) so I just took the piercing out but I plan to get it pierced again soon but on the other side
I got my nose pierced a couple days ago and now I'm worried I'm to get one. I'm not into hoops though so I'm not planning on trying that anyway. Does anyone know if you're less likely to get just sticking to studs?
I recently got my nose pierced early September and it was windy and my hair got caught in my piercing and it literally almost all came out and the next day I woke up with a bump and here I am now cause I have tried everything and it's still there and now I'm actually debating about just taking it out completely 😭
Hey guys i have the bump on my nose from snagging it a couple times. I have been applying biore witch hazel for 1 week and its almost gone. It has witch hazel and 2 % salicylic acid. I found it in the acne products its a liquid similar to toner
I agree with your mom. Clearly you did not learn your lesson. Too funny. I love mom's. They're such dream killers. Hahahaha P.s. I've been waiting to see this video as well after seeing your Insta story
I’ve had the same problem and I’ve had my nose pierced 3 times. Tried the salt. Tried the toothpaste. Tried the oil nothing. My piercing keeps getting snagged or hit so it keeps getting irritated but I have found the solution. CVS ZINC WOUND WASH. Works wonders. I got to the point where I was going to take the ring out but then I started using that with Q tips a few times a day and it’s nearly gone in 2 days!!
I'm talking about H2O piercing spray! It has sea salt and 82 other elements! It helped heal my piercings quicker and it's good for your piercings get infected! It helped with my keloids too!
Ahtziri Zamora how did you use it? And with what did you apply it? How many times a day! Sorry i have a bump but it just goes small and then comes back
Same problem sea salt tea tree oil aspirin everything!!!! I’ve had it for 3 months now but I git this bump after the piercer changed it I have both nostrils pierced but only the one the piercer changed now I have this dam ugly bump I may have to take your advice to see a dermatologist now I sometimes don’t think these piercers don’t know what they doing I changed it after 6 months they should have said no wait change it after 9 months to year
Did you ever take it out and it went away? Just talked to my piercing lady and she said it’ll go away if you take it out but you’ll have to keep soaking it still.
@@jenniferdavidson1306 yes I took it out and it eventually healed up in about 2ish weeks I think, it’s been awhile since then so I don’t remember exactly
Please help me! I currently have a bump on my piercing, which is like one and a half months old. I got it pierced with a ring and not a stud but I don’t want to change it now and risk infection. I got a saline solution off of Amazon and after using that for a week-ish and it went down but then came back a couple of days later. The bump has been there for probably about a month now and I’m so sick of it, it makes me really insecure. Any advice would be much appreciated!
If u have a nose piercing bump try 1 tsp of almond oil 1 tsp of sea salt and 9-10 drops of tea tree oil trust me it works 100% that what I’ve been doing and it’s no longer there 😁
I got a bump when I first put on a hoop but it’s wasn’t big then I wanted to put a stud so I did that too and since I got tired of that I put the hoop back in and got a bigger bump and it kept coming back and stuff and I realized I’m allergic to that jewelry:(
So it's been 6 weeks since I got mine and I changed in 2 weeks because it fell out fast forward 4 weeks I noticed a bump and thought it was because of my stud and then I took it out.... now I cant pit anything on it and if hurts so I'm going to let it close
SENSODYNE toothpaste left on overnight works. Do it for a week. I hope everyone sees this cuz this problem has ruined me for months
Your bump went off in a week?
Jon Mack it worked for me after 2 days i just peeled of the crust
It didn't worked with Aspirin...I still have my bump there...please help me it sucks to have bumps for so long
Albana Qarri I don’t have my nose pierced but I have read that tree tea oil works, just search it in google!
Albana Qarri tea tree oil
I got the bump too... All I did was use the dial basics antibacterial bar soap 3 times a day and it went away fully in a week! I rinsed with the H20 spray... No one mentioned it so I thought I'd share!
Ok I’m telling you guys. sea salt, water and 3 drops of tea tree oil use it as a hot compress. Really works
A cloth compress or a paper towel compress please?
How did it eventually go away? Did it just go down or what??
@@lacy01 3 months is too soon to change it that's why it hurts. You're supposed to wait until it fully heals.
Aidah Peralta are you suppose to wash off the h2ocean after you apply it or you leave it on ? lol
how long did it take to go away ?
@@odalysrodriguez1092 use a cutip and just clean it normally and leave it on
I think H2O spray has saved me with all my piercings. It is holy grail! Lol
What worked for me was Cortizone 10 and Teatree oil.
I used jojoba oil on my bump every morning and night and it was gone within a few days!
Emily Hough when did you get the bump and how long did you have it?
I had a friend who just got it and changed it 3-4 weeks later and got a big ass bump and had to take it off completely ._.
Hi... I have had a nose bump for 3 months after snagging my nose stud on a towel, I've done the daily sea salt and no improvement, I have used natural toothpaste and no improvement, I then used commercial toothpaste, which i have done now for 2 day and the bump is half the size and nearly gone!!!.... x
What toothpaste did u used ??
Yes what toothpaste?!?!
@Calvin Hayne I heard others say sensodyne works for it
I got my keloid bump yesturday I woke up with jt and it was mad big!!
I applied regular salt mixed with water on it then I put vaseline over night. All only 1 time.
It definitely got flatter and smaller after I woke up but its still there.
are you from ny? lol
kit lmfaooo yea how yk 🤣
Like you, I am also Filipino and I did some culture research on this and read that people that have darker skin tones are more at risk of keloids...which sucks :(
Overall, I found your video very informative and similar to my own piercing problems!
Omg same here I couldn't find retainer

I did my nose piercing 3 times but i got bumps all the time.my doctor told me that I have to take the pin out coz my body is reacting to the foreign object and i have it only for 2-4 weeks n i was done with it .as soon as I take it off the red big bump started to dry .its still healing and hopefully I’ll not have a scar.🤞🏽
I got my piercing down on September and I keep getting a bump I’m going to get the piercing removed because it’s started to get annoying I miss being without it to be honest
I’ve been sending my good vibes to you and your bump since the Patrick Starrr video, Anne. I’m so glad you were able to find a resolution!
Thanks Lily!! You’re too sweet ☺️!
Really? I saw another video that recommended to never use peroxide....I'm willing to try anything at this point🙄
PLEASE USE HIBI SCRUB!!!!
I used it when my (double) piercing was really infected and it works so good.
yeah my nose had a trauma so that explains it.
I have had my nose bump for 11 months it comes and goes so frustrating!! Might look in to this thanks for all your info!
@@sreenithiramgiri4259 ok thank you
all i do is a warm compress (warm up a wet wash cloth in the microwave & put it in a ziploc bag) & do that for 10 mins & our 50/50 of tea tree oil & water on the bump w an eye dropper. do this once every night
That piercing really really suits you!
Thank you!
Valsoine is an emollient so it will keep the area moisturized. It is good for protecting the wound area.
I’m having this same issue and i feel self conscious how much did the procedure cost ? I’m planning on doing this if no home remedies work I got it back like 3 days ago ☹️
did it heal?
For bumps, dip Q-tip is hot water. The hotter the batter. Then hold over the piercing bump. It will be uncomfortable but it does get rid of it. And make sure to use Neosporin because it prevents the piercing from getting dry
Thanks I’ve tried everything, scheduling an appointment in the morning
In my experience, I've had my nose piercing now for about 8 months now, I went through the exact same situation. My piercing grew a bump about 3 months in, I googled solutions, none worked, and in defeat I went to my piercer. Turns out that nose piercings should have at least 6 months to heal before switching to a hoop, and that the sea salt soaks etc. rarely ever work. Piercer told me to not use hydrogen peroxide, sea salt, etc. anything that had harsh chemicals in it and to just use soap and water.
in the end lol, I just recommend to see your piercer about it because the day after I had pulled up to the salon and they fixed it, my bump was gone.
What kind of soap
i’ve had a bump since march and it’s now july... i did everything, the only thing that worked for me was advil crushed up and leaving it on it, the bump got smaller but i tried just giving it a break and the bump got
bigger. i’m so insecure about it that at times i dont even want to visit my boyfriend because of how self conscious it made me
Girl, I’m literally dealing with the exact same thing :( I totally feel you on the whole self conscious thing! I’m seeing a dermatologist today, well, a nurse practitioner. I’m nervous, but I hope that the cost isn’t too bad and that they can take it off :( thanks for this girl!
Do u saw the dermatologist what she say plz tell me iam dealing more than many months
Just poke it with a needle (I suggest a new clean one from the store) I used one from back when I had to check my sugar and put tea tree oil on it that's what my piecer told me to do and it has gone down a lot I also switched to titanium studs which also helped
that sounds like a keloid. Keloids usually cant go down without medical attention, like a steroid shot.
If this didn’t work for you, listen to this:
About six months ago I got my helix pierced (with a needle), everything was fine and smooth sailing un until I noticed a bump like a bubble that was growing (not a keloid).
My nose piercing got a keloid and it hurt so I took out my piercing and I'm so sad I wish I could have kept it in. I now wanna get it done again

So idk if mine is a keloid or what but I got my piercing like four days back and it’s so swollen that my stud literally almost went in my nose, not at the actual piercing hole or whatever you call it but it’s just that swollen, like it sounds weird but i hope I make sense 😅 help me please !
How much did the dermatologist cost you? I have a bump and am thinking about getting it removed. Just want to know beforehand!
did it heal?
Dermatologist would usually NOT remove a keloid, it’s likely to come back since you’re prone to them now. Good luck!
I’ve got the same struggle. My bump doesn’t want to go away, whatever I try. Did the surgery help? Does the bump stay away?
i got my nose pierced almost 2 years ago for the first time and at that time i didnt know how to take care of it so it got inflamed after a month so i took the nose pin off. then i got my nose pierced for the second time and i changed the jewelery to a gold stud so that it doesnt get inflamed but right after changing it i got a bumb on my nose and then i got so scared that i again took it off. then i got my nose pierced for the 3rd time and i myself took it off as it seems so troublesome. but as it suits me and i really wanted to had a nose piercing i again pierced my nose almost a week ago and now this time im cleaning it with saline solution twice everyday and im taking good care of it this time ,. this oain has gone but ill take good care of it . please pray for me. ps: sorry for this lengthy comment but i reallyt wanted to share
Sorry in advance for this long ass post I'm making you read haha
My piercer told me it heals better with a stud.
I used rubbing alcohol on mines..it worked like a pro..went away in 3 days
Does anyone know if it’s normal for a bump to form on the inside of my nose?
for me, I just applied a cream that contains antibiotic and it's getting closer each morning
marah youssef was it prescribed to you?
Pls tell the name of the antibiotic 😁
Tea tree oil, lavender oil and alcohol free witch hazel! Every night … omg it works Use it daily
When did you start wearing makeup after your nose pierce?
Try saline water :) you can get it at target
when i wear the hoop for a day or two the bump come up all i do is change it back to my small nose stud and then it goes away and i also put warm salt water on my nose
I just saw your insta story and I just wanna say i admire how you edit your videos, you work so hard on them! Love it so much 💕💕
Thank you!!!
Get a 22gage straight nose bar made with titanium.
Try the nose bone or cork screw end.
So you didn’t have to remove the piercing before? Or remove it forever ?
I had one I got oil for nose bumps of Amazon and it was really good and cleared up in one week .
Kayla Couch did it go away? Or do you still have the bump? I have the same problem
Aww I’m glad your feeling better 👃🏼!!!
And the camera your using is really good !!! This video is so clear
Michelle Perez thank you!!! I just used my vlogging camera 😬
Have you done tea tree oil, hows the bump now?
@@NicholeWilliamsAmorvicitomnia gone lol I took the piercing out
Hey guys i have the bump on my nose from snagging it a couple times. I have been applying biore witch hazel for 1 week and its almost gone. It has witch hazel and 2 % salicylic acid. I found it in the acne products its a liquid similar to toner
How do you apply this ? Do you just leave it on ?
I agree with your mom. Clearly you did not learn your lesson. Too funny. I love mom's. They're such dream killers. Hahahaha
P.s. I've been waiting to see this video as well after seeing your Insta story
Hahaha second time wasn’t a mistake anymore, it’s a choice 😂
I’ve had the same problem and I’ve had my nose pierced 3 times. Tried the salt. Tried the toothpaste. Tried the oil nothing. My piercing keeps getting snagged or hit so it keeps getting irritated but I have found the solution. CVS ZINC WOUND WASH. Works wonders. I got to the point where I was going to take the ring out but then I started using that with Q tips a few times a day and it’s nearly gone in 2 days!!
aww anne u went thru so much for that cute piercing !! but loved how informative the video was :-)
I had recently got my nose pierced (2 days ago) and I keep knocking it out and I'm scared that it will get infected. Do you have any advice for me?
toothpaste works just fine . you clean with sea salt and water then some toothpaste you dap
H2O is the best at getting rid of keloid bumps! I've had many piercings and I'm prone to keloids!
Ahtziri Zamora just drinking water or soaking the keloid?
I'm talking about H2O piercing spray! It has sea salt and 82 other elements! It helped heal my piercings quicker and it's good for your piercings get infected! It helped with my keloids too!
Ahtziri Zamora
Oh ok thank you. I’ll order some.
Ahtziri Zamora how did you use it? And with what did you apply it? How many times a day! Sorry i have a bump but it just goes small and then comes back
Yesssssssss been waiting for it 💕💕💕💕 Glad you got yourself together after the earthquake to finish editing this video 🤣🤣🤣🤣

does anyone know if you take your piercing out if i goes away ?? i really dont want to take it out but this bumps gotta go and nothing working 😂😂
Did you ever take it out and it went away? Just talked to my piercing lady and she said it’ll go away if you take it out but you’ll have to keep soaking it still.
@@jenniferdavidson1306 yes I took it out and it eventually healed up in about 2ish weeks I think, it’s been awhile since then so I don’t remember exactly
im at this point too 😂😂
Please help me!
If u have a nose piercing bump try 1 tsp of almond oil 1 tsp of sea salt and 9-10 drops of tea tree oil trust me it works 100% that what I’ve been doing and it’s no longer there 😁
I got a bump when I first put on a hoop but it’s wasn’t big then I wanted to put a stud so I did that too and since I got tired of that I put the hoop back in and got a bigger bump and it kept coming back and stuff and I realized I’m allergic to that jewelry:(
I’ve had my nose piercing since 8th grade. I’ve now graduated high school and my ahit is not healed , I’ve done everything and it just doesn’t 😭
I cut it off it and changed the piercing to a real gold 1 and it’s all good
Hey can you do an update on your piercing?
The healing disc works for me. 2 days and it was gone.
Did anyone get a bump on the inside of there nose
geo norwood yes
Yes! I did sea salt compresses and it went away within a week and hasn’t returned.
So it's been 6 weeks since I got mine and I changed in 2 weeks because it fell out fast forward 4 weeks I noticed a bump and thought it was because of my stud and then I took it out.... now I cant pit anything on it and if hurts so I'm going to let it close
You changed it too early
My piercer told me to use fucicort, is that good?
